< 1 Mpanjaka 14 >

1 Tamin’ izany andro izany dia narary Abia, zanak’ i Jeroboama.
At that time, fell sick, Abijah son of Jeroboam.
2 Ary hoy Jeroboama tamin’ ny vadiny: Masìna ianao, mitsangàna, ka miovà endrika, mba tsy ho fantatr’ olona ho vadin’ i Jeroboama ianao; dia mankanesa any Silo, fa, indro, ao Ahia mpaminany, ilay nilaza tamiko fa ho mpanjakan’ ity firenena ity aho.
Then said Jeroboam to his wife—Arise, I pray thee, and feign thyself another, that it be not known, that, thou, art the wife of Jeroboam, —and thou shalt go thy way to Shiloh, lo! there, is Ahijah the prophet, who promised I should be king over this people;
3 Koa mitondrà mofo folo sy mofo madinika ary tantely iray tavoara, ka mankanesa any aminy; fa izy hanambara aminao izay ho toetry ny zaza.
and thou shall take with thee ten loaves, and cracknels, and a bottle of honey, and shalt go unto him, —he, will tell thee what shall befall the young man.
4 Dia nanao araka izany ny vadin’ i Jeroboama ka niainga nankany Silo izy, dia nankao an-tranon’ i Ahia. Ary Ahia tsy nahita, fa efa pahina ny masony noho ny fahantrany.
And the wife of Jeroboam, did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and entered the house of Ahijah, —now, Ahijah, could not see, for his eyes were fixed, by reason of his old age.
5 Ary Jehovah efa nilaza tamin’ i Ahia hoe: Indro, avy ny vadin’ i Jeroboama hanontany anao ny amin’ ny zanany, fa marary izy; ary izao ka izao no holazainao aminy; nefa raha miditra izy, dia hody vehivavy hafa.
But, Yahweh, had said unto Ahijah—Lo! the wife of Jeroboam, coming to enquire something of thee, concerning her son, for he is sick, thus and so, shalt thou speak unto her, —though, when she cometh in, she feign to be a stranger-woman.
6 Ary nony ren’ i Ahia ny fingodongodon’ ny tongony, raha vao niditra teo am-baravarana izy, dia hoy izy: Mandrosoa, ry vadin’ i Jeroboama; nahoana ianao no mody olonkafa? Fa izaho dia nirahina hitondra teny mafy aminao.
So it came to pass, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she entered the doorway, that he said—Come in, thou wife of Jeroboam, —wherefore, is it that thou art feigning to be a stranger-woman, seeing that, I, am sent unto thee, with something hard to bear?
7 Koa mandehana, ka lazao amin’ i Jeroboama hoe: Izao no lazain’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely: Satria nanandratra anao avy tamin’ ny olona Aho ka nanendry anao ho mpanapaka ny Isiraely oloko,
Go, say to Jeroboam—Thus, saith Yahweh, God of Israel, Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the midst of the people, —and gave thee to be leader over my people Israel;
8 ary nendahako ny fanjakana ho afaka tamin’ ny taranak’ i Davida ka nomeko anao, nefa kosa ianao tsy mba nanao tahaka an’ i Davida mpanompoko, izay nitandrina ny teniko sy nanaraka Ahy tamin’ ny fony rehetra tsy hanao na inona na inona afa-tsy izay marina eo imasoko ihany;
and rent the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it to thee, —and yet thou hast not been like my servant David, who kept my commandments, and who followed me, with all his heart, to do only that which was right in mine eyes;
9 fa nanao ratsy mihoatra noho izay rehetra teo alohanao ianao, fa lasa nanao andriamani-kafa sy sarin-javatra an-idina ka nampahatezitra Ahy, fa Izaho efa narianao teo ivohonao:
but hast made wicked thy doings beyond any who were before thee, —and hast gone and made thee ether gods, even molten images, to provoke me to anger, and hast cast, me, behind thy back,
10 koa noho izany dia, indro, hahatonga loza amin’ ny taranak’ i Jeroboama Aho ka handringana izay lehilahy rehetra amin’ ny tamingan’ i Jeroboama, na ny voahazona na ny afaka amin’ ny Isiraely, ary hanaisotra ny sisa amin’ ny taranak’ i Jeroboama Aho, toy ny fanaisotry ny olona ny diky ambara-paha-tsy hisy intsony.
therefore, behold me! bringing misfortune against the house of Jeroboam, and I will cut off the meanest pertaining to Jeroboam, whether shut up or left at large, in Israel, —and will consume after the house of Jeroboam, as one consumeth dung, till it be all gone:
11 Koa izay tamingan’ i Jeroboama maty ao an-tanàna dia hohanin’ ny alika; ary izay maty any an-tsaha dia hohanin’ ny voro-manidina; fa Jehovah no efa niteny.
Him that dieth of Jeroboam in the city, shall, the dogs, eat, and, him that dieth in the field, shall, the birds of heaven, eat, —For, Yahweh, hath spoken.
12 Koa mitsangàna ianao, ka modia any an-tranonao; fa raha vao mijadona ao an-tanàna ny tongotrao, dia, indro, ho faty ny zaza.
Thou, therefore, arise, go to thine own house, —as thy feet are entering the city, the young man shall die.
13 Ary ny Isiraely rehetra hisaona sy handevina azy; fa amin’ ny tamingan’ i Jeroboama dia izy irery ihany no ho tonga ao am-pasana, satria izy ihany no nahitana fahatsaram-panahy ny amin’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely.
Then shall all Israel lament for him, and bury him, for, this one, pertaining to Jeroboam, shall reach a burying-place, —because there hath been found in him something good toward Yahweh, God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.
14 Ary Jehovah hanangana mpanjaka ho an’ ny Isiraely izay handringana ny taranak’ i Jeroboama amin’ izany andro izany; fa rahoviana ange izany? Izao ankehitriny izao ihany.
Therefore will Yahweh raise up for himself a king over Israel, who will cut off the house of Jeroboam, this day, but why, even now?
15 Fa Jehovah hamely ny Isiraely toy ny volotara hozongozonina any anaty rano sady hanongotra ny Isiraely amin’ ity tany soa nomeny ny razany ity ary hanely azy ho any an-dafin’ ny Ony, satria nanao ireo Aseraha izy ka nampahatezitra an’ i Jehovah.
Therefore will Yahweh smite Israel, as a reed shaketh in water, and will root out Israel, from off this goodly soil, which he gave unto their fathers, and will scatter them beyond the River (Euphrates), —because they have made their Sacred Stems, provoking Yahweh to anger:
16 Ary Izy hanolotra ny Isiraely noho ny fahotana izay nataon’ i Jeroboama sady nampanotany ny Isiraely.
That he may deliver up Israel, —on account of the sin of Jeroboam, which he committed, and which he caused, Israel, to commit.
17 Dia niainga ny vadin’ i Jeroboama ka lasa nandeha ary tonga tany Tirza; koa rehefa mby teo amin’ ny tokonam-baravarana izy, dia maty ny zazalahy;
Then arose the wife of Jeroboam, and went her way and entered Tirzah, —as, she, was coming into the entrance hall, the young man died.
18 dia nandevina azy ny Isiraely rehetra sady nisaona azy, araka ny tenin’ i Jehovah izay nampilazainy an’ i Ahia mpaminany mpanompony.
And, when they buried him, all Israel lamented him, —according to the word of Yahweh, which he spake through his servant Ahijah the prophet.
19 Ary ny tantaran’ i Jeroboama sisa, dia ny niadiany sy ny nanjakany, indro, efa voasoratra ao amin’ ny bokin’ ny tantaran’ ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely izany.
Now, the rest of the story of Jeroboam, how he warred, and how he reigned, behold them! written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
20 Ary ny andro nanjakan’ i Jeroboama dia roa amby roa-polo taona; dia lasa nodi-mandry any amin’ ny razany izy; ary Nadaba zanany no nanjaka nandimby azy.
And, the days which Jeroboam reigned, were twenty-two years, —and he slept with his fathers, and, Nadab his son, reigned, in his stead.
21 Ary Rehoboama, zanak’ i Solomona, no nanjaka tamin’ ny Joda. Efa iraika amby efa-polo taona Rehoboama, fony izy vao nanjaka, ary fito ambin’ ny folo taona no nanjakany tany Jerosalema, tanàna nofidin’ i Jehovah tamin’ ny firenen’ Isiraely rehetra hametrahany ny anarany. Ary ny anaran-dreniny dia Nama Amonita.
And, Rehoboam, son of Solomon, reigned in Judah, —forty-one years old, was Rehoboam when he began to reign, and seventeen years, reigned he in Jerusalem, the city which Yahweh had chosen to put his Name there, out of all the tribes of Israel, and, his mother’s name, was Naamah, the Ammonitess.
22 Ary ny Joda nanao izay ratsy eo imason’ i Jehovah ka nampahasaro-piaro Azy tamin’ ny fahotana izay nataony mihoatra noho izay rehetra nataon’ ny razany.
And Judah did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —and provoked him to jealousy, above all that their fathers had done, with their sins which they committed.
23 Fa izy koa nanao fitoerana avo ho azy sy tsangam-baton-tsampy ary Aseraha teny an-tampon’ ny tendrombohitra avo rehetra sy teny ambanin’ ny hazo maitso rehetra.
And, they also, built for themselves high places and pillars, and Sacred Stems, —upon every high hill, and under every green tree.
24 Ary nisy olona nanolo-tena nijangajanga ho fanompoan-tsampy teo amin’ ny tany; ary nanaraka ny fahavetavetana rehetra fanaon’ ny firenena izay noroahin’ i Jehovah teo anoloan’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely izy.
Moreover also, there were, male devotees, in the land, —they did according to all the abominable practices of the nations, which Yahweh dispossessed from before the sons of Israel.
25 Ary tamin’ ny taona fahadimy nanjakan-dRehoboama mpanjaka dia niakatra Sisaka, mpanjakan’ i Egypta, hamely an’ i Jerosalema;
And it came to pass, in the fifth year of King Rehoboam, that Shishak king of Egypt, came up against Jerusalem;
26 dia nobaboiny ny rakitry ny tranon’ i Jehovah sy ny rakitry ny tranon’ ny mpanjaka ka lasany avokoa; ary nobaboiny koa ny ampinga volamena rehetra nataon’ i Solomona
and took away the treasures of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the house of the king, yea, the whole, took he away, —and took away all the bucklers of gold, which, Solomon, had made.
27 Ary Rehoboama mpanjaka nanao ampinga varahina ho solon’ ireny ka nanolotra azy teo an-tànan’ ny lehiben’ ny mpiambina, izay niambina ny varavaran’ ny tranon’ ny mpanjaka
So King Rehoboam made, in their stead, bucklers of bronze, —and committed them unto the hand of the captains of the runners, who kept guard at the entrance of the house of the king.
28 Ary na oviana na oviana no nidiran’ ny mpanjaka tao an-tranon’ i Jehovah, dia nentin’ ny mpiambina ireo ka naveriny tao an-trano fiambenana indray.
And so it was, whensoever the king went into the house of Yahweh, the runners bare them, and then brought them back into the chamber of the runners.
29 Ary ny tantaran-dRehoboama sisa mbamin’ izay rehetra nataony, tsy voasoratra ao amin’ ny bokin’ ny tantaran’ ny mpanjakan’ ny Joda va izany?
Now, the rest of the story of Rehoboam, and all that he did, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
30 Ary niady mandrakariva Rehoboama sy Jeroboama.
And there was, war, between Rehoboam and Jeroboam, continually.
31 Ary Rehoboama lasa nodi-mandry any amin’ ny razany, dia nalevina tao amin’ ny razany tao an-Tanànan’ i Davida. Ary ny anaran-dreniny dia Nama Amonita. Ary Abia zanany no nanjaka nandimby azy.
So then Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David, and, the name of his mother, was Naamah the Ammonitess, —and, Abijah his son, reigned, in his stead.
