1 Korintiana 1

1 Paoly, voantso ho Apostolin’ i Jesosy Kristy noho ny sitrapon’ Andriamanitra, ary Sostena rahalahy,

Paul, called an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and brother Sosthenes,

2 mamangy ny fiangonan’ Andriamanitra any Korinto, dia izay nohamasinina ao amin’ i Kristy Jesosy, olona voantso sady masìna, mbamin’ izay rehetra miantso ny anaran’ i Jesosy Kristy Tompontsika eny amin’ ny tany rehetra, dia azy sy antsika:

to the church of God being in Corinth, to the sanctified in Christ Jesus, to the called saints, along with all who call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, theirs and ours:

3 ho aminareo anie ny fahasoavana sy ny fiadanana avy amin’ Andriamanitra Raintsika sy Jesosy Kristy Tompo.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

4 Misaotra an’ Andriamanitro mandrakariva ny aminareo aho noho ny fahasoavan’ Andriamanitra izay nomena anareo ao amin’ i Kristy Jesosy,

I give thanks to my God always in your behalf, for the grace of God given unto you in Christ Jesus;

5 dia ny nampananana harena anareo ao aminy amin’ ny zavatra rehetra, na ny teny rehetra, na ny fahalalana rehetra,

because in everything you are enriched in him, in all speech and in all knowledge;

6 araka ny niorenan’ ny filazana an’ i Kristy teo aminareo,

as the testimony of Christ is confirmed in you;

7 ka dia tsy latsaka amin’ ny fanomezam-pahasoavana rehetra ianareo, miandry ny fisehoan’ i Jesosy Kristy Tompontsika,

so that you are deficient in no spiritual gift; awaiting the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ;

8 Izay hampiorina anareo koa hatramin’ ny farany, ka dia tsy hanan-tsiny ianareo amin’ ny andron’ i Jesosy Kristy Tompontsika.

who will also establish you unblamable unto the end in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 Mahatoky Andriamanitra, Izay nahatonga ny fiantsoana anareo hanananareo firaisana amin’ ny Zanany, dia Jesosy Kristy Tompontsika.

God is faithful, through whom you have been called unto the fellowship of His Son our Lord Jesus Christ.

10 Ary mananatra anareo aho, ry rahalahy, amin’ ny anaran’ i Jesosy Kristy Tompontsika, mba hiray teny ianareo rehetra, ka tsy hisy fisarahana eo aminareo, fa mba ho tafakambana tsara ianareo hiray saina sy hevitra.

But I exhort you, brethren, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you may all speak the same things, and that there may be no schisms among you; but you may be perfected in the same mind and in the same disposition.

11 Fa efa voalazan’ ny avy amin’ ny ankohonan’ i Kloa tamiko ny amin’ ny toetrareo, ry rahalahiko, fa misy fifampiandaniana eo aminareo.

For it has been revealed to me concerning you, my brethren, by those who are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

12 Izao anefa no anaovako izany: Hianareo samy manao hoe: Izaho an’ i Paoly, na: Izaho an’ i Apolosy, na: Izaho an’ i Kefasy, na: Izaho an’ i Kristy.

And I say this, that each one says, I indeed am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

13 Voazarazara va Kristy? Paoly va no voahombo tamin’ ny hazo fijaliana hamonjy anareo, sa ho amin’ ny anaran’ i Paoly no nanaovam-batisa anareo?

Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

14 Misaotra an’ Andriamanitra aho fa tsy nisy nataoko batisa ianareo afa-tsy Krispo sy Gaio,

I thank God that I baptized none of you, except Crispus and Gaius;

15 fandrao misy milaza fa efa natao batisa ho amin’ ny anarako ianareo.

in order that no one may say that you are baptized in my name.

16 Nefa mba efa nanao batisa ny ankohonan’ i Stefanasy koa aho; afa-tsy ireo dia tsy hitako izay nataoko batisa.

But I baptized also the family of Stephanas: besides, I know not if I baptized any other.

17 Fa Kristy tsy naniraka ahy hanao batisa, fa hitory ny filazantsara, tsy tamin’ ny teny fahendrena, fandrao ho foana ny hazo fijalian’ i Kristy.

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with the wisdom of speech, in order that the cross of Christ may not be made of none effect.

18 Fa ny teny ny amin’ ny hazo fijaliana dia fahadalana amin’ izay ho very, fa herin’ Andriamanitra kosa amintsika izay hovonjena.

For the word of the cross is foolishness indeed to those who are lost; but to those who are saved it is the power of God.

19 Fa voasoratra hoe: Hofoanako ny fahendren’ ny hendry, Ary holaviko ny fahalalan’ ny mahalala.

For it has been written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nought the understanding of the intelligent.

20 Aiza ny hendry? Aiza ny mpanora-dalàna? Aiza ny mpiady hevitra avy amin’ izao tontolo izao? Tsy nampodin’ Andriamanitra ho fahadalana va ny fahendren’ izao tontolo izao? (aiōn g165)

Where is the wise man? where is the scribe? where is the investigator of this age? has not God rendered the wisdom of the world foolishness? (aiōn g165)

21 Fa satria, na dia naseho aza ny fahendren’ Andriamanitra, ny fahendrena dia tsy nahatonga izao tontolo izao hahalala an’ Andriamanitra, ka dia ny fahadalan’ ny fitorian-teny no sitrak’ Andriamanitra hamonjeny izay mino;

For since in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, God was pleased through the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe.

22 fa ny Jiosy mila famantarana, ary ny jentilisa mitady fahendrena,

Since indeed the Jews ask for miracles, and the Greeks seek after wisdom;

23 fa izahay kosa mitory an’ i Kristy voahombo tamin’ ny hazo fijaliana, dia fahatafintohinana amin’ ny Jiosy ary fahadalana amin’ ny jentilisa,

but we preach Christ having been crucified, to the Jews indeed a stumbling block, and to the Gentiles foolishness;

24 fa amin’ izay voantso kosa, na Jiosy na jentilisa, dia Kristy, Izay herin’ Andriamanitra sy fahendren’ Andriamanitra.

but to you who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

25 Fa ny fahadalan’ Andriamanitra dia hendry noho ny olona; ary ny fahalemen’ Andriamanitra mahery noho ny olona.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 Fa hevero ny fiantsoana anareo, ry rahalahy, fa tsy firy no olon-kendry araka ny nofo, tsy firy no olona mahery, tsy firy no avo razana;

For you see your calling, brethren, that there are not many wise according to the flesh, not many influential, not many high-born:

27 fa ny adala amin’ izao tontolo izao no nofidin’ Andriamanitra hampahamenatra ny hendry; ary ny malemy amin’ izao tontolo izao no nofidin’ Andriamanitra hampahamenatra ny mahery;

but God has chosen the foolish things of the world, that he may confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world, that he may confound the strong;

28 ary ny iva razana amin’ izao tontolo izao sy izay fanevateva no nofidin’ Andriamanitra, dia ny atao ho tsy misy aza, mba hahafoana ny misy,

and God has chosen the base-born of the world, and those of no reputation, the things which are not, that He may set at nought the things which are,

29 mba tsy hisy nofo hahazo mirehareha eo anatrehan’ Andriamanitra.

in order that no flesh can boast in the sight of God.

30 Fa avy aminy no nanaovana anareo ho ao amin’ i Kristy Jesosy, Izay nataon’ Andriamanitra fahendrena sy fahamarinana sy fahamasinana ary fanavotana ho antsika,

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God was made unto us wisdom, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:

31 mba ho araka ny voasoratra hoe: Izay mirehareha, aoka Jehovah no ho reharehany.

in order that, as it has been written, Let him that glorieth glory in the Lord.
