1 Ary ny zanakalahin’ i Robena, lahimatoan’ Isiraely (fa izy no lahimatoa; saingy ny nandotoany ny farafaran-drainy no nanomezana ny fizokiany ho an’ ny zanak’ i Josefa, zanak’ Isiraely; nefa tsy voasoratra ho zokiny amin’ ny fitantaram-pirazanana ireo;
And the sons of Reuben the first-born of Israel—for he was the first-born; but, when the defiled his father's bed, was his birthright given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: so that the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the first-birth.

For Judah became the mightiest of his brothers, and the prince descended from him: while the first-birthright belonged to Joseph, —

The sons of Reuben the first-born of Israel were, Chanoch, and Pallu, Chezron, and Carmi.

The sons of Joel: Shema'yah his son, Gog his son, Shim'i his son,
5 Mika no zanakalahin’ i simey, Reaia no zanakalahin’ i Mika, Bala no zanakalahin’ i Reaia,
Michah his son, Reayah his son, Ba'al his son,
6 Bera no zanakalahin’ i Bala, izay nobaboin’ i Tiglato-pilesera, mpanjakan’ i Asyria; izy no loham-pirenen’ ny Robenita.
Beerah his son, whom Tilgath-pilneesser the king of Assyria carried into exile: he was the prince of the Reubenites.

9 Ary nonina tany atsinanana hatrany akaikin’ ny efitra ka hatramin’ ny ony Eofrata izy; fa ny ombiny aman’ ondriny nihamaro teny amin’ ny tany Gileada.
And to the eastward he dwelt as far as the entrance of the wilderness from the river Euphrates; because their cattle were numerous in the land of Gil'ad.
10 Ary tamin’ ny andron’ i Saoly dia niady tamin’ ny Hagarita izy ka naharesy azy; ary nonina an-day eran’ ny ilany atsinanana rehetra amin’ i Gileada izy.
And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarenes, who fell by their hand; and they dwelt in their tents in the whole front of the land to the east of Gil'ad.
11 Ary ny taranak’ i Gada nonina tandrifiny, teny amin’ ny tany Basana hatrany Saleka;
And the children of Gad dwelt alongside of them, in the land of Bashan as far as Salchah.
12 Joela no lohany, dia Safama no manarakaraka, dia Janay sy Safata tany Basana.
Joel the chief, and Shapham the next, and Ja'nai, and Shaphat in Bashan.
13 Ary ny rahalahiny araka ny fianakaviany avy dia Mikaela sy Mesolama sy Seba sy Joray sy Jakana sy Zia ary Ebera; fito izy.
And their brethren according to their family divisions were, Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba', and Jorai, and Ya'kan, and Zia', and 'Eber, seven.
14 Ireo no zanakalahin’ i Abihaila, zanak’ i Hory, zanak’ i Jaroa, zanak’ i Gileada, zanak’ i Mikaela, zanak’ i Jesisay, zanak’ i Jado, zanak’ i Boza;
These are the children of Abichayil the son of Churi, the son of Jaroach, the son of Gil'ad, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jachdo, the son of Buz:
15 Ahia, zanak’ i Abdiela, zanak’ i Gony, no lohan’ ny fianakaviany.
Achi the son of Abdiel the son of Guni, the chief of their family division.

And they dwelt in Gil'ad, in Bashan, and in its minor towns, and in all the open districts of Sharon, as far as their terminations.
17 Ireo rehetra ireo dia nisaina araka ny firazanany tamin’ ny andron’ i Jotama, mpanjakan’ ny Joda, sy tamin’ ny andron’ i Jeroboama, mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely.
All these were recorded by their genealogies in the days of Jotham the king of Judah, and in the days of Jerobo'am the king of Israel.
18 Ny taranak’ i Robena sy ny Gadita ary ny antsasaky ny firenen’ i Manase, izay isan’ ny lehilahy mahery, ka lehilahy mahatana ampinga sy sabatra ary mahahenjana tsipìka sady zatra ny miady, dia enim-polo amby fiton-jato amby efatra arivo sy efatra alina no isan’ ny azo nalefa hanafika.
The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Menasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear shield and sword, and to draw the bow, and practised in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and sixty, that went out to the army.
19 Ary niady tamin’ ny Hagarita sy tamin’ i Jetora sy Nafisy ary Nodaba izy.
And they made war with the Hagarenes, and Jetur, and Naphish, and Nodab.
20 Ary nombana hamely ireo izy, ka dia voatolotra teo an-tànany ny Hagarita mbamin’ izay rehetra nomba azy, satria nitaraina tamin’ Andriamanitra teo amin’ ny ady izy, ary nekeny ny fangatahany noho ny fahatokiany Azy.
And they obtained help against them, and the Hagarenes were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them; for to God they cried in the battle, and he was entreated by them; because they put their trust in him.
21 Ary nobaboiny ny bibiny, dia rameva dimy alina sy ondry aman’ osy dimy alina amby roa hetsy sy boriky roa arivo ary olona iray hetsy;
And they led away captive their cattle: of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of human beings one hundred thousand.
22 fa maro ny faty niampatrampatra, satria avy tamin’ Andriamanitra ny ady. Ary nonina nandimby ireo izy mandra-pahatongan’ ny namaboana azy kosa.
For there fell down many slain; because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their stead until the exile.
23 Ary ny taranaky ny antsasaky ny firenen’ i Manase dia nonina tamin’ ny tany; ary nihamaro izy hatrany Basana ka hatrany Bala-hermona sy Senira ary hatramin’ ny tendrombohitra Hermona.
And the children of the half tribe of Menasseh dwelt in the land: from Bashan unto Ba'al-chermon and Senir and mount Chermon were they numerous.
24 Ary izao no lohan’ ny fianakaviany: Efera sy Jisy sy Eliala sy Azriela sy Jeremia sy Hodavia ary Jadiela; lehilahy mahery ireo ary malaza sady samy lohan’ ny fianakaviany avy.
And these were the heads of their family divisions: namely, 'Epher, and Yish'i, and Eliel, and 'Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodavyah, and Jachdiel, mighty men of valor, famous men, [and] heads of their family divisions.

But they trespassed against the God of their fathers, and went astray after the gods of the people of the land, whom God had destroyed from before them.
26 Ary Andriamanitry ny Isiraely namporisika an’ i Pola, mpanjakan’ i Asyria, sy Tiglato-pilesera mpanjakan’ i Asyria, ka dia nobaboin’ ireo ny Robenita sy ny Gadita sy ny antsasaky ny firenen’ i Manase ka nentiny tany Hala sy Habora sy Hara ary tany amoron’ ny ony Gozana ambaraka androany.
And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul the king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-pilnesser the king of Assyria, and he carried them into exile, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Menasseh, and brought them unto Chalach, and Chabor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, even until this day.
