1 Ary ny amin’ ny taranak’ i Arona dia izao no nizarana azy ho antokony: Ny zanakalahin’ i Arona dia Nadaba sy Abiho sy Eleazara ary Itamara;
These were the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron: Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
2 fa Nadaba sy Abiho dia maty talohan-drainy sady samy tsy nanan-janaka, koa dia Eleazara sy Itamara no nanao fisoronana.
But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest's office.
3 Ary Davida sy Zadoka, isan’ ny taranak’ i Eleazara, sy Ahimeleka, isan’ ny taranak’ Itamara, dia nizara azy araka ny antokony sy ny fanompoany avy.
David with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to their ordering in their service.
4 Ary ny lohany tamin’ ireo, dia tamin’ ny taranak’ i Eleazara, no maromaro kokoa noho ny tamin’ ny taranak’ Itamara, ka dia nozarainy toy izao izy: Tamin’ ny taranak’ i Eleazara dia enina ambin’ ny folo no lohan’ ny fianakaviana; ary tamin’ ny taranak’ Itamara dia valo kosa no lohan’ ny fianakaviana.
There were more chief men found among the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar; so they were divided like this: of the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen heads according to their ancestral houses, and eight according to their ancestral houses among the sons of Ithamar.
5 Ary samy nozarazaraina tamin’ ny filokana avokoa izy rehetra; fa samy mpifehy masìna, dia mpifehy ho an’ Andriamanitra avokoa, na ny avy tamin’ ny taranak’ i Eleazara, na ny avy tamin’ ny taranak’ Itamara.
And thus were they divided impartially by drawing lots; for there were officiers of the sanctuary, and officiers of God, both of the descendants of Eleazar, and of the descendants of Ithamar.

And Shemaiah the son of Nethanel the scribe, who was of the Levites, wrote them in the presence of the king, and the officiers, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the ancestral houses of the priests and of the Levites; one fathers' house being taken for Eleazar and one being taken for Ithamar.

Now the first lot came forth to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,

the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,
10 ny fahafito an’ i Hakoza, ny fahavalo an’ i Abia,
the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,
11 ny fahasivy an’ i Jesoa, ny fahafolo an’ i Sekania.
the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,
12 ny fahiraika ambin’ ny folo an’ i Eliasiba, ny faharoa ambin’ ny folo an’ i Jakima,
the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,
13 ny fahatelo ambin’ ny folo an’ i Hopa, ny fahefatra ambin’ ny folo an’ i Jesebaba,
the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshbaal,
14 ny fahadimy ambin’ ny folo an’ i Bilga, ny fahenina ambin’ ny folo an’ Imera,
the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,
15 ny fahafito ambin’ ny folo an’ i Hezira, ny fahavalo ambin’ ny folo an’ i Hafizeza,
the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,
16 ny fahasivy ambin’ ny folo an’ i Petahia, ny faharoa-polo an’ i Jehezekela,
the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel,
17 ny fahiraika amby roa-polo an’ i Jakina, ny faharoa amby roa-polo an’ i Gamola,
the twenty-first to Jakin, the twenty-second to Gamul,
18 ny fahatelo amby roa-polo an’ i Delaia, ny fahefatra amby roa-polo an’ i Mazia.
the twenty-third to Delaiah, the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.
19 Ireo avy no antokony amin’ ny fanompoany izay idirany ao an-tranon’ i Jehovah araka ny fitsipika voatendrin’ i Arona rainy, araka ny nandidian’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, azy.
This was their ordering in their service, to come into the house of YHWH according to the ordinance given to them by Aaron their father, as YHWH, the God of Israel, had commanded him.
20 Ary tamin’ ny taranak’ i Levy sisa dia izao; Tamin’ ny taranak’ i Amrama dia Sobaela; tamin’ ny zanak’ i Sobaela dia Jedala.
Of the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.
21 Ny amin’ i Rehabia: tamin’ ny taranak’ i Rehabia dia Jisia no voalohany.
Of Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, Isshiah the chief.
22 Tamin’ ny Jizarita dia Selomota; tamin’ ny taranak’ i Selomota dia Jahata.
Of the Izharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.
23 Ary ny amin’ ny taranak’ i Sebrona dia Jeria no voalohany, Amaria no faharoa, Jahaziela no fahatelo, Jekameama no fahefatra.
The sons of Hebron: Jeriah, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.

The sons of Uzziel, Micah; of the sons of Micah, Shamir.

The brother of Micah, Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.
26 Ny zanakalahin’ i Merary dia Maly sy Mosy; ny zanakalahin’ i Jazia dia Beno.
The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi; of his sons: Jaaziah his son.
27 Ny zanakalahin’ i Merary tamin’ i Jazia dia Beno sy Sohama sy Zakora ary Ibry.
The sons of Merari by Jaaziah his son: Shoham, and Zakkur, and Ibri.

Of Kish; the sons of Kish: Jerahmeel.

The sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after their fathers' houses.
31 Ary ireo dia mba niara-niloka tamin’ ny rahalahiny, taranak’ i Arona, teo anatrehan’ i Davida mpanjaka sy Zadota sy Ahimeleka sy ny lohan’ ny fianakavian’ ny mpisorona sy ny Levita: niara-niloka avokoa na ny zokiny na ny zandriny.
These likewise cast lots even as their kinsmen the descendants of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the heads of the ancestral houses of the priests and of the Levites; the ancestral houses of the chief even as those of his younger brother.
