1 Tantara 23
1 Ary nony efa ela niainana sy tratrantitra tsara Davida, dia Solomona zanany no nataony mpanjaka tamin’ ny Isiraely.
So when Dauid was olde and full of dayes, he made Salomon his sonne King ouer Israel.
2 Ary novoriny ny lehiben’ ny Isiraely rehetra mbamin’ ny mpisorona sy ny Levita.
And hee gathered together all the princes of Israel with the Priestes and the Leuites.
3 Ary nisaina ny Levita hatramin’ ny telo-polo taona no ho miakatra, ka valo arivo amby telo alina no isan’ ny lehilahy.
And the Leuites were numbred from ye age of thirtie yeere and aboue, and their nomber according to their summe was eight and thirtie thousand men.
4 Ary hoy Davida: Ny efatra arivo amby roa alina amin’ ireo dia ataoko ho tonian’ ny asa ao an-tranon’ i Jehovah, ary ny enina arivo ataoko mpifehy sy mpitsara,
Of these foure and twentie thousande were set to aduance the worke of the house of the Lord, and sixe thousand were ouerseers and iudges.
5 ary ny efatra arivo ho mpiandry varavarana, ary ny efatra arivo ho mpidera an’ i Jehovah amin’ ny zavatra namboariko hiderana Azy.
And foure thousand were porters, and foure thousande praised the Lord with instruments which he made to praise the Lord.
6 Ary nozarazarain’ i Davida ho antokony ireo araka ny zanakalahin’ i Levy, dia Gersona sy Kehata sy Merary:
So Dauid deuided offices vnto them, to wit, to the sonnes of Leui, to Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
7 Tamin’ ny Gersonita dia Ladana sy Simey.
Of the Gershonites were Laadan and Shimei.
8 Ny zanakalahin’ i Ladana dia Jehiela lohany sy Zetama ary Joela; telo izy.
The sonnes of Laadan, the chiefe was Iehiel, and Zetham and Ioel, three.
9 Ny zanakalahin’ i Simey dia Selomota sy Haziela ary Harana; telo izy. Ireo no lohany tamin’ ny fianakavian’ i Ladana.
The Sonnes of Shimei, Shelomith, and Haziel, and Haram, three: these were the chiefe fathers of Laadan.
10 Ary ny zanakalahin’ i Simey dia Jahata sy Zina sy Jeosy ary Beria; izy efa-dahy ireo no zanakalahin’ i Simey.
Also the sonnes of Shimei were Iahath, Zina, Ieush, and Beriah: these foure were ye sonnes of Shimei.
11 Ary Jahata no lohany, ary Ziza no faharoany; fa Jeosy sy Beria tsy nanana zanakalahy maro, ka dia nisaina ho fianakaviana iray sy antokony iray izy.
And Iahath was the chiefe, and Zizah the seconde, but Ieush and Beriah had not many sonnes: therfore they were in the families of their father, counted but as one.
12 Ny zanakalahin’ i Kehata dia Amrama sy Jizara sy Hebrona ary Oziela; efatra izy.
The sonnes of Kohath were Amram, Izhar, Hebron aud Vzziel, foure.
13 Ny zanakalahin’ i Amrama dia Arona sy Mosesy. Ary Arona natokana ka nohamasinina ho masìna indrindra, dia izy sy ny taranany mandrakizay, handoro ditin-kazo manitra eo anatrehan’ i Jehovah sy hanao fanompoam-pivavahana ho Azy ary hitso-drano amin’ ny anarany mandrakizay.
The sonnes of Amram, Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was separated to sanctifie the most holy place, hee and his sonnes for euer to burne incense before the Lord, to minister to him, and to blesse in his Name for euer.
14 Nefa ny amin’ i Mosesy, lehilahin’ Andriamanitra, dia nisaina tamin’ ny firenen’ i Levy ihany ny zanany.
Moses also the man of God, and his children were named with the tribe of Leui.
15 Ny zanakalahin’ i Mosesy dia Gersona sy Eliezera.
The sonnes of Moses were Gershom, and Eliezer,
16 Tamin’ ny zanakalahin’ i Gersona dia Seboela no lohany.
Of the sonnes of Gershom was Shebuel the chiefe.
17 Ary tamin’ ny zanakalahin’ i Eliezera dia Rehabia no lohany (Eliezera anefa tsy nanan-janaka hafa); fa ny zanak’ i Rehabia dia maro indrindra.
And the sonne of Eliezer was Rehabiah the chiefe: for Eliezer had none other sonnes: but the sonnes of Rehabiah were very many.
18 Tamin’ ny zanakalahin’ i Jizara dia Selomota no lohany.
The sone of Izhar was Shelomith ye chiefe.
19 Ny zanakalahin’ i Hebrona, dia Jeria no lahimatoa, Amaria no lahiaivo, Jahaziela no fahatelo, ary Jekameama no faralahy.
The sonnes of Hebron were Ieriah the first, Amariah the second, Iahaziel the third, and Iekamiam the fourth.
20 Ny zanakalahin’ i Oziela, dia Mita no lahimatoa, ary Jisia no faralahy.
The sones of Vzziel were Michah the first, and Isshiah the second.
21 Ny zanakalahin’ i Merary dia Maly sy Mosy. Ny zanakalahin’ i Maly dia Eleazara sy Kisy.
The sonnes of Merari were Mahli and Mushi. The sonnes of Mahli, Eleazar and Kish.
22 Ary maty Eleazara ka tsy nanan-janakalahy, fa vavy avokoa; ary ireny zanakalahin’ i Kisy havany no nanambady ireo.
And Eleazar dyed, and had no sonnes, but daughters, and their brethren the sonnes of Kish tooke them.
23 Ny zanakalahin’ i Mosy dia Maly sy Edera ary Jeremota; telo izy.
The sonnes of Mushi were Mahli, and Eder, and Ierimoth, three.
24 Ireo no zanakalahin’ i Levy araka ny fianakaviany, dia ny lohan’ ny fianakaviana tamin’ ny antokony avy araka ny nanisana ny anarany tsirairay, dia izay nanao ny fanompoana tao an-tranon’ i Jehovah, hatramin’ ny roa-polo taona no ho miakatra.
These were the sonnes of Leui according to the house of their fathers, euen the chiefe fathers according to their offices, according to the nomber of names and their summe that did the worke for the seruice of the house of the Lord from the age of twentie yeeres and aboue.
25 Fa hoy Davida: Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, efa nanome fitsaharana ho an’ ny olony sady mitoetra eto Jerosalema mandrakizay.
For Dauid sayde, The Lord God of Israel hath giuen rest vnto his people, that they may dwell in Ierusalem for euer.
26 Ary ny Levita kosa dia tsy hitondra ny tabernakely na ny fanaka enti-manompo ao aminy intsony.
And also the Leuites shall no more beare the Tabernacle and al the vessels for the seruice thereof.
27 Fa araka ny fara-tenin’ i Davida dia nisaina hatramin’ ny roa-polo taona no ho miakatra ny Levita.
Therefore according to the last wordes of Dauid, the Leuites were nombred from twentie yeere and aboue,
28 Ary ny raharahany dia ny hanampy ny taranak’ i Arona amin’ ny fanompoana ao an-tranon’ i Jehovah amin’ ireo kianja sy efi-trano tao ary amin’ ny fanadiovana ny zavatra masìna rehetra sy ny fanompoana ao an-tranon’ Andriamanitra,
And their office was vnder the hand of the sonnes of Aaron, for the seruice of the house of the Lord in the courtes, and chambers, and in the purifiyng of all holy thinges, and in the worke of the seruice of the house of God,
29 ary amin’ ny mofo aseho sy ny koba tsara toto ho fanatitra hohanina sy amin’ ny mofo manify tsy misy masirasira sy amin’ izay endasina amin’ ny lapoely sy amin’ izay vonton-diloilo ary amin’ ny famarana sy ny fandrefesana rehetra,
Both for the shewbread, and for the fine floure, for the meate offring, and for the vnleauened cakes, and for the fryed things, and for that which was rosted, and for all measures and cise,
30 ary ny hitsangana isa-maraina hisaotra sy hidera an’ i Jehovah, ary toy izany koa amin’ ny hariva,
And for to stand euery morning, to giue thanks and praise to the Lord, and likewise at euen,
31 ary ny hanatitra ny fanatitra dorana rehetra ho an’ i Jehovah na amin’ ny Sabata, na amin’ ny voaloham-bolana, na amin’ ny fotoam-pivavahana hafa dia araka ny isany avy, sy araka ny fanao voatendry hanaovana azy mandrakariva eo anatrehan’ i Jehovah.
And to offer all burnt offrings vnto the Lord, in the Sabbaths, in the moneths, and at the appointed times, according to the nomber and according to their custome continually before the Lord,
32 Aoka ho toy izany no hitandremany ny anjara-raharahany ny amin’ ny trano-lay fihaonana sy ny anjara-raharahany ny amin’ ny fitoerana masìna ary ny anjara-raharahany ny amin’ ny taranak’ i Arona rahalahiny ho fanompoana ao an-tranon’ i Jehovah.
And that they should keepe the charge of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and the charge of ye holy place, and the charge of ye sonnes of Aaron their brethren in the seruice of ye house of the Lord.
