1 Ary nampiditra ny Fiaran’ Andriamanitra ny olona ka nametraka azy tao afovoan’ ny lay izay naorin’ i Davida ho azy; ary nanatitra fanatitra dorana sy fanati-pihavanana teo anatrehan’ Andriamanitra izy.

And they brought in the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before God.

2 Ary nony voatitr’ i Davida ny fanatitra odorana sy ny fanati-pihavanana, dia nitso-drano ny olona tamin’ ny anaran’ i Jehovah izy.

And when David had made an end of offering the burnt-offering and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Jehovah.

3 Dia nizara mofo iray avy sy hena iray didy ary ampempam-boaloboka ho an’ ny Isiraely rehetra na lahy na vavy izy.

And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a portion [of flesh], and a cake of raisins.

4 Ary ny Levita sasany notendren’ i Davida ho mpanao fanompoam-pivavahana eo anatrehan’ ny fiaran’ i Jehovah mba hankalaza sy hisaotra ary hidera an’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely:

And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of Jehovah, and to celebrate and to thank and praise Jehovah, the God of Israel:

5 Asafa no lohany, ary Zakaria no nanarakaraka, dia Jeiela sy Semiramota sy Jehiela sy Matitia sy Eliaba sy Benaia sy Obed-edoma ary Jeiela no nitendry ny valiha sy ny lokanga; fa Asafa no nampaneno ny kipantsona;

Asaph the chief, and second to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, with psalteries and with harps; and Asaph with cymbals, sounding aloud;

6 Benaia sy Jahaziela mpisorona kosa no mpitsoka ny trompetra mandrakariva eo anoloan’ ny fiaran’ ny faneken’ Andriamanitra.

and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God.

7 Tamin’ izay andro izay no voalohan’ ny nanendren’ i Davida an’ i Asafa sy ny rahalahiny hidera an’ i Jehovah.

Then on that day did David first ordain to give thanks unto Jehovah, by the hand of Asaph and his brethren.

8 Miderà an’ i Jehovah, miantsoa ny anarany; Ampahafantaro ny firenena ny asany.

O give thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; Make known his doings among the peoples.

9 Mihira ho Azy, mankalazà Azy; Saintsaino ny fahagagana rehetra ataony.

Sing unto him, sing praises unto him; Talk ye of all his marvellous works.

10 Ataovy ho reharehanareo ny anarany masìna; Aoka hifaly ny fon’ izay mitady an’ i Jehovah.

Glory ye in his holy name; Let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah.

11 Mitadiava an’ i Jehovah sy ny heriny, Katsaho mandrakariva ny tavany.

Seek ye Jehovah and his strength; Seek his face evermore.

12 Mahatsiarova ny asa mahagaga izay nataony, dia ny fahagagany sy ny fitsaran’ ny vavany,

Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, His wonders, and the judgments of his mouth,

13 Hianareo taranak’ Isiraely mpanompony, Hianareo olom-boafidiny, taranak’ i Jakoba.

O ye seed of Israel his servant, Ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

14 Jehovah, Izy no Andriamanitsika, manerana ny tany rehetra ny fitsarany.

He is Jehovah our God; His judgments are in all the earth.

15 Tsarovy mandrakizay ny fanekeny. Dia ilay teny voadidiny ho an’ ny taranaka arivo mandimby,

Remember his covenant for ever, The word which he commanded to a thousand generations,

16 Eny, dia ilay nataony tamin’ i Abrahama sy ny fianianany tamin’ Isaka,

[The covenant] which he made with Abraham, And his oath unto Isaac,

17 Izay naoriny ho lalàna ho an’ i Jakoba sy ho fanekena mandrakizay ho an’ Isiraely,

And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a statute, To Israel for an everlasting covenant,

18 Ka nataony hoe: Homeko anao ny tany Kanana ho lovanareo voazara amin’ ny famolaina;

Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, The lot of your inheritance;

19 Fony mbola olom-bitsy ianareo, Eny, Vitsy sady vahiny tao,

When ye were but a few men in number, Yea, very few, and sojourners in it;

20 Ary nifindrafindra tany amin’ ny firenena, sy nifindrafindra fanjakana ho amin’ ny firenen-kafa,

And they went about from nation to nation, And from one kingdom to another people.

21 Tsy nisy navelany hampahory azy; Ary nananatra mpanjaka Izy noho ny amin’ ireo hoe:

He suffered no man to do them wrong; Yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,

22 Aza manendry ireo voahosotro, Ary aza manisy ratsy Ireo mpaminaniko.

[Saying], Touch not mine anointed ones, And do my prophets no harm.

23 Mihira ho an’ i Jehovah, ry tany rehetra; Lazao isan’ andro isan’ andro ny famonjeny mahafaly.

Sing unto Jehovah, all the earth; Show forth his salvation from day to day.

24 Ambarao any amin’ ny jentilisa ny voninahiny, ary any amin’ ny firenena rehetra ny fahagagana ataony.

Declare his glory among the nations, His marvellous works among all the peoples.

25 Fa lehibe Jehovah ka mendrika hoderaina indrindra, sady mahatahotra, fa ambonin’ ny andriamanitra rehetra.

For great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised: He also is to be feared above all gods.

26 Fa ny andriamanitry ny firenena rehetra dia tsinontsinona, fa Jehovah no nanao ny lanitra.

For all the gods of the peoples are idols: But Jehovah made the heavens.

27 Famirapiratana sy voninahitra no eo anatrehany, Hery sy hafaliana no ao amin’ ny fitoerany.

Honor and majesty are before him: Strength and gladness are in his place.

28 Ry firenena, manomeza an’ i Jehovah, eny, manomeza voninahitra sy hery ho an’ i Jehovah.

Ascribe unto Jehovah, ye kindreds of the peoples, Ascribe unto Jehovah glory and strength;

29 Manomeza an’ i Jehovah ny voninahitry ny anarany; Mitondrà fanatitra, ka mankanesa eo anatrehany; Miankohofa eo anatrehan’ i Jehovah amin’ ny fihaingoana masìna

Ascribe unto Jehovah the glory due unto his name: Bring an offering, and come before him; Worship Jehovah in holy array.

30 Mangovita eo anatrehany, ry tany rehetra; Izao rehetra izao voaorina ka tsy hihetsika.

Tremble before him, all the earth: The world also is established that it cannot be moved.

31 Aoka ho faly ny lanitra ary ho ravo ny tany; Ary aoka holazaina any amin’ ny firenena hoe: Jehovah no Mpanjaka.

Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; And let them say among the nations, Jehovah reigneth.

32 Aoka hirohondrohona ny ranomasina sy izay rehetra ao aminy; Aoka ho faly ny saha sy izay rehetra ao aminy.

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; Let the field exult, and all that is therein;

33 Dia hihoby eo anatrehan’ i Jehovah amin’ izay ny hazo an’ ala; Fa avy hitsara ny tany Izy.

Then shall the trees of the wood sing for joy before Jehovah; For he cometh to judge the earth.

34 Miderà an’ i Jehovah, fa tsara Izy: Fa mandrakizay ny famindram-pony.

O give thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever.

35 Ary manaova hoe: Vonjeo izahay, ry Andriamanitry ny famonjena anay ô, ary angòny izahay, ka vonjeo tsy ho azon’ ny jentilisa, Mba hisaoranay ny anaranao masìna, ka ho reharehanay ny fiderana Anao.

And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, And gather us together and deliver us from the nations, To give thanks unto thy holy name, And to triumph in thy praise.

36 Isaorana anie Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, hatramin’ ny taloha indrindra ka ho mandrakizay. Ary ny olona rehetra nanao hoe: Amena, sady nidera an’ i Jehovah.

Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, From everlasting even to everlasting. And all the people said, Amen, and praised Jehovah.

37 Ary Asafa sy ny rahalahiny dia navelan’ i Davida teo anoloan’ ny fiaran’ ny faneken’ Jehovah hanao fanompoam-pivavahana ao mandrakariva araka ny raharaha tokony hatao isan’ andro,

So he left there, before the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day’s work required;

38 ary Obed-edoma sy ny rahalahiny valo amby enim-polo sy Obed-edoma, zanak’ i Jedotona, ary Hosa ho mpiandry varavarana kosa.

and Obed-edom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obed-edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be doorkeepers;

39 Ary Zadoka mpisorona sy ny mpisorona rahalahiny dia navelany teo anoloan’ ny tabernakelin’ i Jehovah teo amin’ ny fitoerana avo any Gibeona,

and Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of Jehovah in the high place that was at Gibeon,

40 hanatitra fanatitra dorana ho an’ i Jehovah marain-tsy hariva eo amin’ ny alitara fandoroana ny fanatitra dorana mandrakariva, ary hanao araka izay rehetra voasoratra ao amin’ ny lalàn’ i Jehovah, izay nandidiany ny Isiraely,

to offer burnt-offerings unto Jehovah upon the altar of burnt-offering continually morning and evening, even according to all that is written in the law of Jehovah, which he commanded unto Israel;

41 ary naman’ ireo koa Hemana sy Jedotona ary ny sisa amin’ ny olona voafidy izay voatonona anarana hidera an’ i Jehovah, fa mandrakizay ny famindram-pony.

and with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were mentioned by name, to give thanks to Jehovah, because his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever;

42 Ary tao amin’ i Hemana sy Jedotona nisy trompetra sy kipantsona ho an’ izay mampaneno ary ny fomban’ ny zava-manenon’ Andriamanitra. Ary ny zanak’ i Jedotona no mpiandry varavarana.

and with them Heman and Jeduthun [with] trumpets and cymbals for those that should sound aloud, and [with] instruments for the songs of God; and the sons of Jeduthun to be at the gate.

43 Ary dia samy nody tany an-tranony avy ny olona rehetra, ary Davida koa lasa nody mba hitso-drano ny ankohonany.

And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.
