< 1 Tantara 15 >
1 Ary Davida nanao trano ho azy tao an-Tanànan’ i Davida sady namboatra fitoerana sy nanorin-day ho an’ ny fiaran’ Andriamanitra.
Once David had finished building houses for himself in the City of David, he made a place for the Ark of God and set up a tent there.
2 Ary tamin’ izay dia hoy Davida: Tsy misy tokony hitondra ny fiaran’ Andriamanitra afa-tsy ny Levita ihany, satria izy no efa nofidin’ i Jehovah hitondra ny fiaran’ Andriamanitra sy hanao fanompoam-pivavahana ho Azy mandrakizay.
Then he gave orders: “Nobody is to carry the Ark of God except the Levites, for the Lord himself chose them to carry the Ark of the Lord and to serve him forever.”
3 Dia novorin’ i Davida tany Jerosalema ny Isiraely rehetra hampakatra ny fiaran’ i Jehovah ho any amin’ ny fitoerana izay namboariny ho azy.
David summoned all of Israel to Jerusalem to bring the Ark of the Lord to the place he'd prepared for it.
4 Ary novorin’ i Davida ny taranak’ i Arona sy ny Levita:
This is the list of the Levites, the sons of Aaron, that David called to attend:
5 tamin’ ny taranak’ i Kehata dia Oriela lehibeny sy ny rahalahiny roa-polo amby zato;
From the sons of Kohath, Uriel (chief), and 120 of his relatives;
6 tamin’ ny taranak’ i Merary dia Asaia lehibeny sy ny rahalahiny roa-polo amby roan-jato;
from the sons of Merari, Asaiah (chief), with 220 of his relatives;
7 tamin’ ny taranak’ i Gersona dia Joela lehibeny sy ny rahalahiny telo-polo amby zato;
from the sons of Gershom, Joel (chief), with 130 of his relatives;
8 tamin’ ny taranak’ i Elizafana dia Semaia lehibeny sy ny rahalahiny roan-jato;
from the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah (chief), with 200 of his relatives;
9 tamin’ ny taranak’ i Hebrona dia Eliala lehibeny sy ny rahalahiny valo-polo,
from the sons of Hebron, Eliel (chief), with 80 of his relatives;
10 tamin’ ny taranak’ i Oziela dia Aminadaba lehibeny sy ny rahalahiny roa ambin’ ny folo amby zato.
from the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab (chief), with 112 of his relatives.
11 Ary Davida niantso an’ i Zadoka sy Abiatara mpisorona sy ny Levita, dia Oriela sy Asaia sy Joela sy Semaia sy Eliala ary Aminadaba,
Then David summoned the priests Zadok and Abiathar, and the Levites Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab.
12 ka nanao taminy hoe: Hianareo lohan’ ny fianakavian’ ny Levita, hamasino ny tenanareo, dia ianareo sy ny rahalahinareo, mba hampakaranareo ny fiaran’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, ho ao amin’ ilay namboariko ho azy.
He told them, “You are the heads of the Levite families. You must make yourselves and your relatives ceremonially clean and pure before you bring back the Ark of God, the Lord of Israel to the place I have made for it.
13 Satria tsy ianareo no tamin’ ilay teo, dia nasian’ i Jehovah Andriamanitsika isika, fa tsy nitady Azy araka ny voadidy.
Because you weren't there the first time to carry the Ark the Lord our God burst out in violence against us. We didn't treat it in accordance with his instructions.”
14 Dia nanamasina ny tenany ny mpisorona sy ny Levita hampakatra ny fiaran’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely.
So the priests and the Levites purified themselves so that they could bring back the Ark of the Lord, the God of Israel.
15 Ary ny Levita nilanja ny fiaran’ Andriamanitra tamin’ ny hazo, tahaka ny nandidian’ i Mosesy araka ny tenin’ i Jehovah.
Then the Levites carried the Ark of God in the way that Moses had ordered, according to what God had said—on their shoulders using the special carrying poles.
16 Ary ireo lehiben’ ny Levita dia nasain’ i Davida nanendry ny mpihira rahalahiny hitondra ny zava-maneno, dia ny valiha sy ny lokanga ary hampaneno ny kipantsona, mba hanandra-peo amin’ ny fifaliana.
David also instructed the leaders of the Levites to assign from their relatives singers who would sing loudly for joy, accompanied by musicians playing lyres, and harps, and cymbals.
17 Ka dia notendren’ ny Levita Hemana, zanak’ i Joela; ary tamin’ ny rahalahiny dia Asafa, zanak’ i Berekia; ary tamin’ ny taranak’ i Merary rahalahiny dia Etana, zanak’ i Kosaia;
So the Levites assigned Heman the son of Joel; and from his relatives Asaph the son of Berechiah; and from the sons of Merari, their relatives, Ethan the son of Kushaiah.
18 ary naman’ ireo ihany koa ny rahalahiny manarakaraka, dia Zakaria sy Bena sy Jaziela sy Semiramota sy Jehiela sy Ony sy Eliaba sy Benaia sy Mahaseia sy Matitia sy Elifeleho sy Mikneia sy Obed-edoma ary Jeiela, mpiandry varavarana.
The second group of Levites consisted of Zechariah, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah; and the gatekeepers Obed-edom and Jeiel.
19 Ary Hemana sy Asafa ary Etana mpihira dia nasaina nitondra kipantsona varahina hampanenoina.
The musicians Heman, Asaph, and Ethan were to strike the bronze cymbals;
20 Ary Zakaria sy Aziela sy Semiramota sy Jehiela sy Ony sy Eliaba sy Mahaseia sy Benaia no nasaina nitendry valiha tamin’ ny Alamota.
Zechariah, Aziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah, and Benaiah were to play harps “according to alamoth,”
21 Ary Matitia sy Elifeleho sy Mikneia sy Obed-edoma sy Jeiela ary Azazia no nasaina nitendry ny lokanga tamin’ ny Seminita ho mpitarika.
while Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-edom, Jeiel, and Azaziah were to lead the music with lyres “according to sheminith.”
22 Ary Kenania, lehiben’ ny Levita, no tonian’ ny fitondrana; ary nampianatra ny fitondrana izy, fa nahay.
Kenaniah, the leader of the Levites in singing, was chosen to lead the music because of his ability.
23 Ary Berekia sy Elikana no mpiandry varavarana amin’ ny fiara.
Berechiah and Elkanah were appointed to guard the Ark.
24 Ary Sebania sy Josafata sy Netanela sy Amasay sy Zakaria sy Benaia ary Eliezera, izay samy mpisorona, no nitsoka ny trompetra teo alohan’ ny fiaran’ Andriamanitra, ary Obed-edoma sy Jehia koa no mpiandry varavarana amin’ ny fiara.
Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer the priests were to blow the trumpets in front of the Ark of God. Obed-edom and Jehiah were also appointed to guard the Ark.
25 Ary Davida sy ny loholon’ ny Isiraely mbamin’ ny mpifehy arivo no nandeha hampakatra ny fiaran’ ny faneken’ i Jehovah avy tao an-tranon’ i Obed-edoma tamin’ ny fifaliana.
Then David, the elders of Israel, and the senior army commanders, went with great celebration to bring back the Ark of the Lord's Agreement from the home of Obed-Edom.
26 Ary rehefa nomban’ Andriamanitra ny Levita izay nilanja ny fiaran’ ny faneken’ i Jehovah, dia namono vantotr’ ombilahy fito sy ondrilahy fito hatao fanatitra izy.
Because God helped the Levites who carried the Ark of the Lord's Agreement, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.
27 Ary niakanjo akanjo rongony fotsy madinika Davida, ary niakanjo toy izany koa ny Levita rehetra izay nitondra ny fiara ary ny mpihira sy Kenania, tonian’ ny fitondrana, mbamin’ ny mpihira; ary Davida nisalotra efoda rongony fotsy koa.
David wore a robe of fine linen like all the Levites who were carrying the Ark, and the singers and Kenaniah the leader of the music and singers. David also wore a linen ephod.
28 Toy izany no nampakaran’ ny Isiraely rehetra ny fiaran’ ny faneken’ i Jehovah tamin’ ny fihobiana sy ny feon’ ny anjomara sy ny trompetra ary ny kipantsona sy tamin’ ny fitendrena ny valiha sy ny lokanga.
So all of Israel brought back the Ark of the Lord's Agreement with a lot of shouting, accompanied by horns, trumpets, and cymbals, and music played on harps and lyres.
29 Ary nony tonga tao an-Tanànan’ i Davida ny fiaran’ ny faneken’ i Jehovah, dia nitsirika teo am-baravarankely Mikala, zanakavavin’ i Saoly, ka nahita an’ i Davida mpanjaka nibitaka sy nitsinjaka; ka dia nikizaka azy tao am-pony izy.
But as Ark of the Lord's Agreement entered the City of David, Saul's daughter Michal looked down from a window. Seeing David the king jumping and dancing for joy, she was full of contempt for him.
