1 Ary dia nivory teo amin’ i Davida tao Hebrona ny Isiraely rehetra ka nanao hoe: Indreto izahay, fa taolanao sy nonao.
Then all Israel gathered themselues to Dauid vnto Hebron, saying, Beholde, we are thy bones and thy flesh.
2 Hatry ny fahiny ihany koa, fony Saoly mbola nanjaka aza, dia ianao ihany no mpitarika ny Isiraely nivoaka sy niditra; ary hoy Jehovah Andriamanitrao taminao; Hianao no ho mpiandry ny Isiraely oloko, ary ianao no ho mpanapaka azy.
And in time past, euen when Saul was King, thou leddest Israel out and in: and the Lord thy God sayde vnto thee, Thou shalt feede my people Israel, and thou shalt be captaine ouer my people Israel.
3 Eny, tonga tao amin’ ny mpanjaka tao Hebrona ny loholon’ ny Isiraely rehetra; ary Davida nanao fanekena taminy tao Hebrona teo anatrehan’ i Jehovah; ary dia nanosotra an’ i Davida ho mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely izy araka ny tenin’ i Jehovah izay nampilazainy an’ i Samoela.
So came all the Elders of Israel to the King to Hebron, and Dauid made a couenant with them in Hebron before the Lord. And they anoynted Dauid King ouer Israel, according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Samuel.
4 Ary Davida sy ny Isiraely rehetra nankany Jerosalema (Jebosa izany); ary tao ny Jebosita tompon-tany.
And Dauid and all Israel went to Ierusalem, which is Iebus, where were the Iebusites, the inhabitants of the land.
5 Ary hoy ny mponina tao Jebosa tamin’ i Davida: Tsy ho tafiditra eto ianao. Kanjo afak’ i Davida ihany ny batery fiarovana, dia Ziona (Tanànan’ i Davida izany).
And the inhabitants of Iebus said to Dauid, Thou shalt not come in hither. Neuertheles Dauid tooke the towre of Zion, which is the city of Dauid.
6 Ary hoy Davida: Na iza na iza no hamely voalohany ny Jebosita, dia izy no ho lohany sy ho komandy. Ary Joaba, zanak’ i Zeroia, no niakatra voalohany, ka dia izy no lohany.
And Dauid sayd, Whosoeuer smiteth the Iebusites first, shalbe the chiefe and captaine. So Ioab the sonne of Zeruiah went first vp, and was captaine.
7 Dia nitoetra tao anatin’ ny batery fiarotana Davida, ka izany no nanaovana ny anarany hoe Tanànan’ i Davida
And Dauid dwelt in the tower: therefore they called it the citie of Dauid.
8 Ary nandrafitra ny manodidina ny tanàna hatrany Milo izy; ary Joaba nampamboatra ny sisa tamin’ ny tanàna.
And he built the citie on euery side, from Millo euen round about, and Ioab repaired the rest of the citie.
9 Koa dia nandroso nihalehibe Davida; fa Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro, no nomba azy.
And Dauid prospered, and grewe: for the Lord of hostes was with him.
10 Ary izao no lohan’ ny lehilahy maherin’ i Davida izay nifikitra mafy taminy tamin’ ny fanjakany, mbamin’ ny Isiraely rehetra hampanjaka azy araka ny tenin’ i Jehovah ny amin’ ny Isiraely.
These also are the chiefe of the valiant men that were with Dauid, and ioyned their force with him in his kingdome with al Israel, to make him King ouer Israel, according to the worde of the Lord.
11 Dia izao no isan’ ny lehilahy maherin’ i Davida: Jasobeama, zanak’ i Hakmony, lehiben’ ny mpanafika malaza; izy no namely telon-jato lahy tamin’ ny lefona ka naharingana azy tamin’ ny ady indray mandeha monja.
And this is the nomber of the valiant men whome Dauid had, Iashobeam the sonne of Hachmoni, the chiefe among thirtie: he lift vp his speare against three hundreth, whom he slewe at one time.
12 Ary ny manarakaraka azy dia Eleazara, zanak’ i Dodo Ahohita, anankiray amin’ izy telo lahy mahery.
And after him was Eleazar the sonne of Dodo the Ahohite, which was one of the three valiant men.
13 Izy dia teo amin’ i Davida tao Efesa-damima, raha vory teo ny Filistina hiady, ary ny tany nisy vary hordea maniry, ary ny olona nandositra ny Filistina.
He was with Dauid at Pas-dammim, and there the Philistims were gathered together to battel: and there was a parcell of ground full of barley, and the people fled before the Philistims.

And they stood in the middes of the field, and saued it, and slewe the Philistims: so the Lord gaue a great victorie.
15 Ary nisy telo lahy malaza tamin’ ny telo-polo nidina nankeo amin’ ny vatolampy ho any amin’ i Davida tamin’ ny zohin’ i Adolama; ary ny miaramilan’ ny Filistina nitoby tao amin’ ny Lohasahan’ ny Refaïta.
And three of the thirtie captaines went to a rocke to Dauid, into the caue of Adullam. And the armie of the Philistims camped in the valley of Rephaim.
16 Ary Davida dia tao amin’ ny batery fiarovana tamin’ izay, ary ny miaramilan’ ny Filistina kosa dia tao Betlehema.
And when Dauid was in the hold, the Philistims garison was at Beth-lehem.
17 Ary Davida naniry ka nanao hoe: Enga anie ka hisy hampisotro rano ahy avy amin’ ny fantsakana ao Betlehema, ilay ao akaikin’ ny vavahady.
And Dauid longed, and said, Oh, that one would giue me to drinke of the water of the well of Beth-lehem that is at the gate.
18 Ary izy telo lahy ireo namaky teo amin’ ny miaramilan’ ny Filistina ka nanovo rano tao amin’ ny fantsakana tao Betlehema, ilay tao akaikin’ ny vavahady, dia nentiny ho any amin’ i Davida. Kanjo tsy nety nisotro izy, fa naidiny ho an’ i Jehovah.
Then these three brake thorowe the hoste of the Philistims, and drewe water out of the well of Beth-lehem that was by the gate, and tooke it and brought it to Dauid: but Dauid would not drinke of it, but powred it for an oblation to the Lord,
19 Fa hoy izy: Sanatria amiko eo anatrehan’ Andriamanitra raha hanao izany; hisotro ny ran’ ireto olona nanao vi-very ny ainy ireto va aho? fa nanao vi-very ny ainy izy ireo tamin’ ny nakany ity. Ka dia tsy nety nisotro izy. Izany zavatra izany no nataon’ ireo telo lahy mahery ireo.
And said, Let not my God suffer me to do this: should I drinke the blood of these mens liues? for they haue brought it with the ieopardie of their liues: therefore he would not drinke it: these things did these three mightie men.
20 Ary Abisay, rahalahin’ i Joaba, no lehibe tamin’ izy telo lahy; fa izy koa namely telonjato lahy tamin’ ny lefona ka nahafaty azy, ka dia izy no nalaza tamin’ izy telo lahy.
And Abishai the brother of Ioab, he was chiefe of the three, and he lift vp his speare against three hundreth, and slew them, and had the name among the three.
21 Eny, tamin’ izy telo lahy dia izy no nanana voninahitra mihoatra noho ny azy roa lahy, fa izy no lehibeny; nefa tsy nahomby azy telo lahy teo izy.
Among the three he was more honourable then the two, and he was their captaine: but he attained not vnto the first three.
22 Ary Benaia, zanak’ i Joiada, zanaky ny lehilahy mahay tany Kabzela, izay nahavita asa be, izy no nahafaty ny roa lahy mahery tany Moaba; ary izy koa no nidina namono ny liona tao anatin’ ny lavaka fantsakana tamin’ ilay andro nisy oram-panala iny.
Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada (the sonne of a valiant man) which had done many actes, and was of Kabzeel, he slewe two strong men of Moab: he went downe also and slewe a lion in the middes of a pit in time of snowe.
23 Ary izy koa no namono ilay Egyptiana makadiry, izay dimy hakiho ny halavany, nefa teny an-tànan’ ilay Egyptiana nisy lefona tahaka ny vodi-tenon’ ny mpanenona; nefa namorotsahan’ i Benaia tamin’ ny tehiny ihany izy, dia nosarihany ny lefona teny an-tànan’ ilay Egyptiana, ka iny lefony iny ihany no namonoany azy.
And he slewe an Egyptian, a man of great stature, euen fiue cubites long, and in the Egyptians hand was a speare like a weauers beame: and he went downe to him with a staffe, and plucked the speare out of the Egyptians hand, and slewe him with his owne speare.
24 Izany zavatra izany no nataon’ i Benaia, zanak’ i Joiada, ary tamin’ izy telo lahy mahery dia izy no nalaza.
These things did Benaiah ye sonne of Iehoiada, and had the name among the three worthies.
25 Indro fa be voninahitra tamin’ ny telo-polo lahy izy, nefa tsy nahomby azy telo lahy teo; ary Davida nanao azy ho isan’ ny mpanolo-tsaina azy.
Behold, he was honourable among thirtie, but he attained not vnto the first three. And Dauid made him of his counsell.
26 Ary ny lehilahy mahery dia Asahela, rahalahin’ i Joaba, sy Elanana, zanak’ i Dodo, avy any Betlehema,
These also were valiant men of warre, Asahel the brother of Ioab, Elhanan the sonne of Dodo of Beth-lehem,
27 sy Samota Harorita sy Haleza Pelonita
Shammoth the Harodite, Helez the Pelonite,
28 sy Ira, zanak’ Ikesy Tekoïta, sy Abiezera Anatotita
Ira the sonne of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Antothite,
29 sy Sibekay Hosatita sy Ely Ahohita
Sibbecai the Husathite, Ilai the Ahohite,
30 sy Maharay Netofatita sy Heleda, zanak’ i Bana Netofatita,
Maharai the Netophathite, Heled ye sonne of Baanah the Netophathite,
31 sy Itahy, zanak’ i Ribay avy any Gibean’ ny taranak’ i Benjamina, sy Benaia Piratonita
Ithai the sonne of Ribai of Gibeah of the children of Beniamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,

Ahiam the sonne of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal the sonne of Vr,
36 sy Hefera Mekeratita sy Ahia Pelonita
Hepher the Mecherathite, Ahiiah the Pelonite,
37 sy Hezro Karmelita sy Naray, zanak’ i Ezbay,
Hezro the Carmelite, Naarai the sonne of Ezbai,
38 sy Joela, rahalahin’ i Natana, sy Mibara, zanak’ i Hagry.
Ioel the brother of Nathan, Mibhar the sonne of Haggeri,
39 sy Zaleta Amonita sy Naharay Berotita, mpitondra ny fiadian’ i Joaba, zanak’ i Zeroia,
Zelek the Ammonite, Nahrai the Berothite, the armour bearer of Ioab, the sonne of Zeruiah,
40 sy Ira Jitrita sy Gareba Jitrita
Ira the Ithrite, Garib the Ithrite,
41 sy Oria Hetita sy Zabada, zanak’ i Ahelay,
Vriah the Hittite, Zabad the sonne of Ahlai,

47 sy Eliala sy Obeda ary Jasiela Mezobaïta.
