1 Ne nyongera okuyimusa amaaso gange, era laba, amagaali g’embalaasi ana nga gava wakati w’ensozi bbiri, n’ensozi ezo zaali nsozi za bikomo.
Again I looked up, and saw four chariots come from between two mountains. The mountains were mountains of bronze.
2 Eggaali esooka ng’esikibwa embalaasi za lukunyu, eyookubiri nga nzirugavu.
The first chariot had red horses. The second chariot had black horses,
3 Eggaali eyokusatu ng’esikibwa mbalaasi njeru, eyokuna yo ng’esikibwa za kikuusikuusi atabikiddwamu n’obwoya obweru. Embalaasi ezo zonna zaali z’amaanyi.
the third chariot white horses, and the fourth chariot dappled horses.
4 Ne ndyoka mbuuza malayika eyali ayogera nange nti, “Bino bitegeeza ki mukama wange?”
Then I said to the messenger who talked with me, ‘What are these, my lord?’
5 Malayika n’anziramu nti, “Ezo z’empewo ennya ez’omu ggulu; ziva kweyanjula mu maaso ga Mukama ow’ensi yonna.
The messenger answered me, ‘These are the four winds of heaven going out after standing before the Lord of all the earth.
6 Ekigaali eky’embalaasi enzirugavu kigenda mu nsi ey’omu bukiikakkono, ate ekyo eky’enjeru mu bugwanjuba, ekyo ekyali kisikibwa embalaasi ez’obwoya obweru, kiraga mu nsi ey’omu bukiikaddyo.”
The black horses are going toward the north country and the white toward the west and the dappled toward the south country.’
7 Awo embalaasi ezo ez’amaanyi nga zivudde mu maaso ga Mukama, ne zifuba okutambulatambula mu nsi yonna; n’azigamba nti, “Mugende, mutambuletambule mu nsi yonna.” Awo ne zitambulatambula mu nsi yonna.
The strong horses came out, and were impatient to patrol the earth. So he said, ‘Go, patrol the earth,’ and they did so.
8 Awo n’ampita n’aŋŋamba nti, “Laba, ezo eziraga mu nsi ey’obukiikakkono ziwummuzza Omwoyo wange mu nsi ey’omu bukiikakkono.”
Then he cried out to me, ‘The horses that went to the north country will quiet my spirit in the north country.’
9 Ekigambo kya Mukama ne kijja gye ndi nga kigamba nti,
Now this message of the Lord came to me:
10 “Genda eri bano: Kerudayi, ne Tobiya, ne Yedaya, abaakomawo okuva mu buwaŋŋanguse mu Babulooni, olunaku olwo lwennyini olage mu nnyumba ya Yosiya, mutabani wa Zeffaniya, mwe bali.
Take the gifts from the exiles Heldai, Tobijah and Jedaiah who have come from Babylon and go at once to Josiah the son of Zephaniah.
11 Ddira effeeza ne zaabu okole engule ogitikkire ku mutwe gwa Yoswa, kabona asinga obukulu, omwana wa Yekozadaaki.
Take their silver and gold and make a crown and set it on the head of the high priest, Joshua son of Jehozadak.
12 Mugambe nti, bw’ati bw’ayogera Mukama ow’Eggye nti, ‘Laba omuntu erinnya lye ye Ttabi; alirokera mu kifo kye, azimbe yeekaalu ya Mukama.
Tell him: ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: Behold, the man whose name is the Branch. He will branch out from his place and rebuild the temple of the Lord.
13 Oyo y’alizimba yeekaalu ya Mukama, era alijjula ekitiibwa. Alituula ku ntebe ye ey’obwakabaka, n’afuga. Era y’aliba Kabona ku ntebe ye ey’obwakabaka; walibaawo okutegeeragana okw’emirembe wakati wa Ttabi ne Yoswa.’
He will rebuild the temple and will sit and rule upon his throne, receiving the honour due to a king. A priest will stand by his throne and they will work together in peace and harmony.
14 Era n’engule ya kubeera mu yeekaalu ya Mukama ng’ekijjukizo eri Keremu, ne Tobiya ne Keeni omwana wa Zeffaniya.
The crown will be a memorial in the temple of the Lord for Heldai and Tobijah and Jedaiah, and Josiah the son of Zephaniah.
15 Era n’abo abali ewala balijja okuyamba okuzimba yeekaalu ya Mukama, era mulimanya nga Mukama ow’Eggye yantuma gye muli. Bino tebirirema kubaawo singa munaagondera eddoboozi lya Mukama Katonda wammwe n’obumalirivu.”
People from far away will come and build in the temple of the Lord and you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you. This will happen if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God.’
