< Zekkaliya 5 >
1 Awo ne nnyimusa amaaso gange era laba ne ndaba, omuzingo gw’ekitabo ogutambulira mu bbanga.
Again I lifted up my eyes and saw before me a flying scroll.
2 N’ambuuza nti, “Kiki ky’olaba?” Ne nziramu nti, “Ndaba omuzingo gw’ekitabo ogutambulira mu bbanga, obuwanvu bwagwo buli mita mwenda n’obugazi bwagwo buli mita nnya ne desimoolo ttaano.”
“What do you see?” asked the angel. “I see a flying scroll,” I replied, “twenty cubits long and ten cubits wide.”
3 Awo n’alyoka aŋŋamba nti, “Ekyo ky’ekikolimo ekizze okubuna ensi yonna, kubanga buli muntu yenna abba aliggyibwawo era buli muntu yenna alayiririra obwereere aliggyibwawo, bamutwale ku luuyi olulala.
Then he told me, “This is the curse that is going out over the face of all the land, for according to one side of the scroll, every thief will be removed; and according to the other side, every perjurer will be removed.
4 Bw’ati bw’ayogera Mukama ow’Eggye, ‘Ndikifulumya, era ndikiyingiza mu nnyumba y’omubbi ne mu nnyumba y’oyo alayiririra obwereere erinnya lyange. Era kirisigala mu nnyumba ye wakati, era kirigizikiriza yonna, emiti gyayo n’amayinja gaayo.’”
I will send it out, declares the LORD of Hosts, and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of him who swears falsely by My name. It will remain inside his house and destroy it, down to its timbers and stones.”
5 Malayika eyali ayogera nange n’akomawo n’aŋŋamba nti, “Yimusa amaaso go olabe, waliwo ekintu ekirala ekizze.”
Then the angel who was speaking with me came forward and told me, “Now lift up your eyes and see what is approaching.”
6 Ne mubuuza nti, “Kiki ekyo?” N’anziramu nti, “Ekyo kisero, kye kifuluma.” Era n’ayongerako nti, “Ekyo kye kifaananyi ekiraga ekibi ekibunye ensi yonna.”
“What is it?” I asked. And he replied, “A measuring basket is going forth.” Then he continued, “This is their iniquity in all the land.”
7 Awo ekibikka kyakyo, ekyuma eky’essasi ne kibikkulwa era ne ndaba omukazi ng’akituddemu.
And behold, the cover of lead was raised, and there was a woman sitting inside the basket.
8 Malayika n’aŋŋamba nti, “Buno bwe bwonoonyi.” N’amusindika n’amuzza munda mu kisero, n’aggalawo omumwa gwakyo n’ekisaanikira eky’ekyuma eky’essasi.
“This is Wickedness,” he said. And he shoved her down into the basket, pushing down the lead cover over its opening.
9 Ne ndyoka nnyimusa amaaso gange, era laba, abakazi babiri nga bajja gye ndi, baali batambulira mu bbanga nga bakozesa empewo mu biwaawaatiro byabwe. Era ebiwaawaatiro byabwe nga biri ng’ebya kalooli, ne basitula ekisero mu bbanga wakati w’ensi n’eggulu.
Then I lifted up my eyes and saw two women approaching, with the wind in their wings. Their wings were like those of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between heaven and earth.
10 Ne mbuuza malayika eyali ayogera nange nti, “Abo ekisero bakitwala wa?”
“Where are they taking the basket?” I asked the angel who was speaking with me.
11 N’anziramu nti, “Mu nsi ya Sinaali ey’e Babulooni, okuzimba ennyumba y’omukazi ali mu kisero, era ennyumba ye bw’eriggwa, aliteekebwa eyo mu kifo kye.”
“To build a house for it in the land of Shinar,” he told me. “And when it is ready, the basket will be set there on its pedestal.”
