< Zekkaliya 4 >
1 Awo malayika eyali ayogera nange n’akomawo, n’anzuukusa ng’omuntu bw’azuukusibwa mu tulo.
Then the angel I had been talking to returned and got my attention, like waking someone from sleep.
2 N’ambuuza nti, “Kiki ky’olaba?” Ne muddamu nti, “Ndaba ekikondo ky’ettaala nga kyonna kya zaabu, nga waggulu kiriko n’akabakuli kaakwo, n’ettaala zaakwo omusanvu, nga buli ttaala eriko omumwa gwayo.
“What do you see?” he asked me. “I see a lampstand made of solid gold with a bowl at its top having seven lamps on it, each with seven lips.
3 Era waliwo emiti emizeeyituuni ebiri ku mabbali gaakyo, ogumu ku mukono ogwa ddyo ogw’akabakuli, n’omulala ku mukono ogwa kkono.”
I also see olive trees, one to the right and one to the left of the bowl.”
4 Ne mbuuza malayika eyali ayogera nange nti, “Bino biki mukama wange?”
Then I asked the angel I was talking to, “What are these, my lord?”
5 Malayika eyali ayogera nange n’addamu n’aŋŋamba nti, “Tobimanyi?” Ne muddamu nti, “Nedda mukama wange.”
“Don't you know what these are?” the angel replied. “No, my lord,” I responded.
6 Awo n’addamu n’aŋŋamba nti, “Kino kye kigambo kya Mukama eri Zerubbaberi: ‘Si lwa maanyi so si lwa buyinza naye lwa Mwoyo wange,’ bw’ayogera Mukama ow’Eggye.
Then he told me, “This is the Lord's message to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord Almighty.
7 “Ggwe olusozi olunene weyita ki? Mu maaso ga Zerubbaberi olibeera lusenyi, era alireeta ejjinja erya waggulu mu mizira n’okwogerera mu ddoboozi ery’omwanguka ng’agamba nti, ‘Liweebwe omukisa, liweebwe omukisa!’”
Even obstacles as big as mountains will be flattened before Zerubbabel. Finally he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘Blessings on it!’”
8 Awo ekigambo kya Mukama ne kinzijira nga kyogera nti,
Then the Lord gave me another message.
9 “Emikono gya Zerubbaberi gitaddewo omusingi gwa yeekaalu eno era girigumaliriza, era olitegeera nti Mukama ow’Eggye ye yantuma gye muli.
Zerubbabel with his own hands laid the foundations for this Temple, and it will be completed the same way. Then you will know the Lord Almighty has sent me.
10 “Ani anyooma olunaku olw’ebintu ebitono? Abantu balijaguza, bwe baliraba ejjinja erigera mu mukono gwa Zerubbaberi. Gano omusanvu ge maaso ga Katonda agayitaayita mu nsi yonna.”
For who dares look down on this time of small beginnings? They will be happy when they see the plumb line in Zerubbabel's hand. “The seven lamps represent the eyes of the Lord which see all over the world.”
11 Ne ndyoka mubuuza nti, “Emizeeyituuni gino ebiri ku mukono ogwa ddyo ne ku gwa kkono ogw’ekikondo ky’ettabaaza, gitegeeza ki?”
Then I asked the angel, “What are the two olive trees that stand to the right and the left of the lampstand?”
12 Ne nnyongera okumubuuza nti, “Gano amatabi abiri ag’emizeeyituuni agaliraanye emidumu gya zaabu ge gayitamu amafuta aga zaabu?”
And I also asked him, “What are the two olive branches from which the golden oil pours out from through golden pipes?”
13 N’anziramu nti, “Tobimanyi?” Ne njogera nti, “Nedda, mukama wange.”
“Don't you know?” the angel replied. “No, my lord,” I responded.
14 Awo n’addamu nti, “Abo be babiri abaafukibwako amafuta abaweereza Mukama ow’ensi yonna.”
“These are the two who have been anointed who stand by the Lord of all the earth,” he replied.
