1 Awo malayika owookutaano n’afuuwa ekkondeere lye, ne ndaba emmunyeenye ng’eva mu ggulu ng’egwa ku nsi era n’eweebwa ekisumuluzo eky’obunnya obutakoma. (Abyssos g12)
And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. (Abyssos g12)
2 Bwe yabusumulula, omukka ne gufubutuka okuvaamu ng’oguva mu kikoomi ekinene ennyo, era enjuba ne bbanga lyonna ne bibuna ekizikiza olw’omukka ogw’omu bunnya. (Abyssos g12)
And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. (Abyssos g12)
3 Enzige ne ziva mu mukka ne zikka ku nsi ne ziweebwa obuyinza okuluma ng’enjaba ez’obusagwa.
And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
4 Zaagambibwa obutakola ku muddo kabi konna, newaakubadde ebimera, wadde emiti; wabula zirumbe abantu abo abataalina kabonero ka Katonda mu byenyi byabwe.
And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
5 Tezaagambibwa kubatta wabula okubabonyaabonya okumala emyezi etaano nga zibaluma bulumi, ng’obulumi bwazo buli ng’obuva mu kubojjebwa enjaba ez’obusagwa.
And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment [was] as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
6 Mu biro ebyo abantu balyagala okwetta naye tekirisoboka kubanga okufa kuliba kubeesamba; balyegomba okufa naye kwo, nga kubadduka buddusi!
And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
7 Enzige zino zaali zifaanana ng’embalaasi ezitegekeddwa okugenda ku lutalo okulwana, ne ku mitwe gyazo nga kuli ng’okutikkiddwa engule za zaabu ate ebyenyi byazo nga biri ng’eby’abantu.
And the shapes of the locusts [were] like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads [were] as it were crowns like gold, and their faces [were] as the faces of men.
8 Obwoya bwazo nga buli ng’enviiri z’abakazi, ate go amannyo gaazo gaali ng’ag’empologoma.
And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as [the teeth] of lions.
9 Zaali zambadde eby’omu bifuba ebiri ng’eby’ebyuma, nga n’ebiwaawaatiro byazo biwuluguma ng’eddoboozi lya nnamuziga w’amagaali, ag’embalaasi ennyingi nga zifubutuka okulaga mu lutalo.
And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings [was] as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.
10 Zaalina emikira egibojja ng’egy’enjaba ez’obusagwa. N’obuyinza bwazo obw’okubonyaabonya obwaziweebwa obw’emyezi etaano bwali mu mikira omwo.
And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power [ was] to hurt men five months.
11 Kabaka waazo ye malayika ow’obunnya obutakoma, erinnya lye mu Lwebbulaniya ye Abadoni ate mu Luyonaani ye Apolwoni. (Abyssos g12)
And they had a king over them, [which is] the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue [is] Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath [ his] name Apollyon. (Abyssos g12)
12 Eky’entiisa ekisooka ne kiyita, naye ng’ekyaliyo bya mirundi ebiri ebijja!
One woe is past; [and], behold, there come two woes more hereafter.
13 Awo malayika ow’omukaaga n’afuuwa ekkondeere lye, ne mpulira eddoboozi nga lyogera okuva mu mayembe ana agali ku kyoto ekya zaabu ekiri mu maaso ga Katonda,
And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
14 nga ligamba malayika oyo ow’omukaaga nti, “Sumulula bamalayika abana abaasibirwa ku mugga omunene Fulaati.”
Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.
15 Bamalayika abana abaali basibiddwa nga balindirira omwaka n’omwezi ogwo, n’olunaku olwo, n’essaawa eyo, ne basumululwa okutta ekitundu ekimu ekyokusatu eky’abantu.
And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.
16 Ne mpulira omuwendo ogw’eggye ery’abaserikale nga bali obukadde ebikumi bibiri.
And the number of the army of the horsemen [were] two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
17 Ne ndaba mu kwolesebwa, ng’embalaasi n’abaali bazeebagadde nga bambadde eby’omu bifuba ebimyufu, era mwalimu n’abambadde ebya bbululu n’ebya kyenvu. Emitwe gy’embalaasi gyali gifaanana ng’egy’empologoma, ne mu bumwa bwazo ne muvaamu omuliro n’omukka ne salufa.
And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses [were] as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.
18 Ebibonyoobonyo ebyo ebisatu: Omukka n’omuliro n’obuganga ebyava mu bumwa bwazo ne bitta ekitundu ekimu ekyokusatu eky’abantu.
By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.
19 Amaanyi gaazo ag’okutta tegaali mu bumwa bwazo mwokka, naye gaali ne mu mikira gyazo, kubanga emikira egyo gyali ng’emitwe gy’emisota, nga gye zibojjesa.
For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails [were] like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.
20 Naye era abantu abaasigalawo nga balamu oluvannyuma lw’ebibonoobono bino ne bagaana okwenenya ebikolwa byabwe. Ne batalekaayo kusinza baddayimooni n’ebifaananyi ebyakolebwa n’emikono ebya zaabu n’ebya ffeeza, n’eby’ebikomo, n’eby’amayinja n’omuti, ebitalaba yadde okuwulira so n’okutambula tebitambula.
And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
21 Era tebeenenya butemu bwabwe, wadde obulogo, wadde obwenzi, wadde obubbi bye baakolanga.
Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
