< Okubikkulirwa 8 >
1 Awo Omwana gw’Endiga bwe yabembulula akabonero k’envumbo ak’omusanvu ne wabaawo akasiriikiriro mu ggulu lyonna okumala ng’ekitundu ky’essaawa.
As soon as the Lamb had broken the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for, it might be, half an hour.
2 Ne ndaba bamalayika omusanvu abaali bayimiridde mu maaso ga Katonda ne baweebwa amakondeere musanvu.
Then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.
3 Awo malayika omulala eyalina ekyoterezo ekya zaabu n’ajja n’ayimirira okuliraana ekyoto, n’aweebwa obubaane bungi nnyo abuweeyo, wamu n’okusaba kw’abatukuvu bonna, ku kyoto ekya zaabu ekyali mu maaso g’entebe ey’obwakabaka.
Next, another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censer in his hand; and a great quantity of incense was given to him, to mingle with the prayers of all Christ’s people on the golden altar before the throne.
4 Akaloosa akalungi n’omukka ebyava mu bubaane obutabuddwamu n’okusaba kw’abatukuvu ne kambuka eri Katonda nga kava mu kyoto malayika mwe yabufuka.
The smoke of the incense ascended, with the prayers of Christ’s people, from the hand of the angel before God.
5 Malayika n’addira ekyoterezo n’akijjuza omuliro gw’aggye ku kyoto n’aguyiwa wansi ku nsi, ne wabaawo okubwatuka, n’okuwuluguma, n’okwakaayakana, n’okumyansa kw’eggulu era ne wabaawo ne musisi.
Then the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it down on the earth; and there followed peals of thunder, cries, flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.
6 Awo bamalayika omusanvu abaalina amakondeere omusanvu ne beetegeka okufuuwa amakondeere gaabwe.
Then the seven angels holding the seven trumpets prepared to blow their blasts.
7 Malayika ow’olubereberye n’afuuwa ekkondeere lye, omuzira n’omuliro nga byetabudde n’omusaayi ne bisuulibwa wansi ku nsi. Ekitundu ekyokusatu eky’ensi ne kiggya omuliro, bwe kityo n’ekitundu kimu kya kusatu eky’emiti ne kiggya omuliro, n’omuddo gwonna ne guggya.
The first blew; and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it fell on the earth. A third part of the earth was burnt up, and a third of the trees, and every blade of grass.
8 Malayika owookubiri n’afuuwa ekkondeere lye, ekintu ekinene ennyo nga kifaanana ng’olusozi olunene ennyo nga lwonna lwaka omuliro ne kisuulibwa mu nnyanja. Ekitundu ekimu ekyokusatu ekyennyanja ne kifuuka omusaayi,
Then the second angel blew; and what appeared to be a great mountain, burning, was hurled into the sea. A third of the sea became blood,
9 n’ekimu ekyokusatu eky’ebitonde eby’omu nnyanja ne kifa, n’ekitundu ekimu ekyokusatu eky’amaato ne kizikirira.
and a third part of all created things that are in the sea – that is, of all living things – died, and a third of the ships was destroyed.
10 Malayika owookusatu n’afuuwa ekkondeere lye, emmunyeenye ennene eyakaayakana n’egwa okuva mu ggulu, n’egwa mu kitundu ekimu ekyokusatu eky’emigga n’ensulo z’amazzi.
Then the third angel blew; and there fell from the heavens a great star, burning like a torch. It fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs.
11 Emmunyeenye eyo yali eyitibwa “Kukaawa” n’etteeka obutwa mu kitundu ekimu ekyokusatu eky’amazzi gonna, abantu bangi ne bafa.
(The star is called ‘Wormwood.’) A third of the water became bitter as wormwood, and so bitter was the water that many died from drinking it.
12 Malayika owookuna n’afuuwa ekkondeere lye, ekitundu ekimu ekyokusatu eky’enjuba n’ekimu ekyokusatu eky’omwezi, n’ekimu ekyokusatu eky’emmunyeenye, ne bikubwa; era ekyavaamu, obudde obw’emisana ne buzikirako ekitundu ekimu ekyokusatu, n’ekiro ne kyeyongera okukwata ekitundu ekimu ekyokusatu, n’omusana ne gulema okwaka ekitundu ekimu ekyokusatu, n’ekizikiza ne kyeyongera bwe kityo.
Then the fourth angel blew; and a third of the sun and a third of the moon and a third of the stars were blasted, so that a third of them was eclipsed, and for a third part of the day there was no light, and at night it was the same.
13 Ne ndaba empungu emu ng’ebuuka mu bbanga ng’ereekaana mu ddoboozi ery’omwanguka nti, “Zibasanze, Zibasanze, Zibasanze abantu ab’oku nsi olw’ebintu eby’entiisa ebinaatera okubatuukako kubanga bamalayika abasatu abasigaddeyo banaatera okufuuwa amakondeere gaabwe.”
And, in my vision, I heard an eagle flying in mid-heaven and crying in a loud voice – ‘Woe, woe, woe for all who live on the earth, at the other trumpet-blasts of the three angels who have yet to blow.’
