< Okubikkulirwa 13 >
1 Ne guyimirira ku lubalama lw’ennyanja. Awo ne ndaba ekisolo ekikambwe nga kiva mu nnyanja, nga kirina emitwe musanvu n’amayembe kkumi era nga kirina engule kkumi ku mayembe gaakyo, era ku buli mutwe nga kuwandiikiddwako amannya agavvoola Katonda.
Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea that had ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on his horns and blasphemous names on his heads.
2 Ekisolo ekyo kye nalaba kyali kifaanana ng’engo naye ng’ebigere byakyo biri ng’eby’eddubu, kyokka ng’akamwa kaakyo kali ng’ak’empologoma. Ogusota ne guwa ekisolo ekyo amaanyi gaagwo awamu n’entebe yaakyo ey’obufuzi era n’obuyinza bungi.
The beast I saw was like a leopard; his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth was like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power, his throne, and great authority.
3 Awo ogumu ku mitwe gyagwo gwali gufumitiddwa nga gufunye ekiwundu ekyali kigenda okugutta, naye ekiwundu ekyali kigenda okugutta ne kiwona. Ensi yonna ne yeewuunya era abantu ne bagoberera ekisolo ekyo.
One of the beast's heads appeared to be mortally wounded. But his mortal wound had been healed, and the whole world was amazed and followed the beast.
4 Ne basinza ogusota olw’okuwa ekisolo ekikambwe obuyinza obwenkaniddaawo, era n’ekisolo ne bakisinza, nga bagamba nti, “Ani akisinga amaanyi era ani ayinza okulwana nakyo?”
They worshiped the dragon that had given his authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can wage war against him?”
5 Awo ekisolo ne kikkirizibwa okwogera ebintu eby’okwegulumiza n’eby’obuvvoozi era ne kiweebwa n’obuyinza okumala emyezi amakumi ana mu ebiri.
The beast was given a mouth to utter great boasts and blasphemy, and he was given authority to wage war for forty-two months.
6 Ekisolo ne kitandika okuvvoola Katonda n’obutayogera birungi ku linnya lye, ne ku kifo kye mw’abeera, ne kivuma n’abo ababeera mu ggulu.
And he opened his mouth to utter blasphemy against God and to slander his name and his tabernacle, that is, those who dwell in heaven.
7 Ne kiweebwa obuyinza okulwanyisa abatukuvu n’okubawangula era n’okufuga buli kika, na buli ggwanga, na buli lulimi, na buli nsi.
He was permitted to wage war against the saints and conquer them, and he was given authority over every tribe, people, tongue, and nation.
8 Era abantu bonna abaaliwo okuva ku kutondebwa kw’ensi, abatawandiikiddwa mu kitabo eky’Obulamu eky’Omwana gw’Endiga eyattibwa balisinza ekisolo ekyo.
All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.
If anyone has an ear, let him hear:
10 Buli ow’okutwalibwa mu busibe wa kusiba. Era buli ow’okuttibwa n’ekitala, wa kuttibwa na kitala. Kubanga awo okugumiikiriza n’okukkiriza kw’abatukuvu we kutegeererwa.
“If anyone has captivity as his lot, away he goes; if anyone is to be killed with the sword, he must be killed.” This calls for the endurance and the faith of the saints.
11 Awo ne ndyoka ndaba ekisolo ekikambwe ekirala nga kiva mu ttaka, nga kirina amayembe abiri agali ng’ag’akaliga akato naye ng’eddoboozi lyakyo liri ng’ery’ogusota.
Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon.
12 Ekisolo ekyo ne kikozesa obuyinza obwa kiri ekyasooka ekyalina ekiwundu ekyawonyezebwa era ekyasinzibwa ensi yonna.
He exercised all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and made the earth and those who dwell in it worship the first beast, whose mortal wound had been healed.
13 Ne kikola ebyamagero ebyewuunyisa, gamba ng’okuwandula ennimi ez’omuliro ku nsi nga ziva mu bbanga nga buli omu alaba.
He performed great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in the presence of the people.
14 Olw’okuweebwa obuyinza okukola ebyamagero ebyo mu linnya ly’ekisolo kiri ekyasooka, abantu bangi baalimbibwalimbibwa. Ekisolo ekyo ne kiragira abantu ab’oku nsi okukola ekifaananyi eky’ekisolo kiri ekyasooka ekyalina ekiwundu eky’ekitala ekyawona.
By the signs he was permitted to do in the presence of the first beast, he deceived my own people who dwell on the earth, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image of the first beast, who had a wound from the sword but still lived.
15 Ekisolo ekyo ne kiweebwa okufuuwa omukka ogw’obulamu mu kifaananyi ky’ekisolo ekyo kyogere, era ekifaananyi ekyo ne kittisa abantu bangi abaagaana okukisinza.
The second beast was permitted to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause whoever refused to worship the image to be killed.
16 Awo ekisolo ne kiragira bonna, abakulu n’abato, abagagga n’abaavu, ab’eddembe n’abaddu, bateekebweko akabonero ku mukono ogwa ddyo oba mu kyenyi,
The second beast required everyone, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead,
17 nga tewali n’omu akkirizibwa okugula oba okutunda ekintu kyonna, nga talina kabonero ak’erinnya ly’ekisolo ekyo oba ennamba yaakyo.
so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of his name.
18 Ekyo kyetaaga amagezi: abo abasobola okutegeera amakulu g’omuwendo guno babale ennamba eri ku kisolo kubanga gwe muwendo gw’omuntu. Omuwendo ogwo guli lukaaga mu nkaaga mu mukaaga.
This calls for wisdom: Let anyone who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man; his number is six hundred sixty-six.
