1 Mukama afuga; ensi esanyuke, n’embalama eziri ewala zijaguze.
Jehovah reigneth: let the earth be glad, let the many isles rejoice.
2 Ebire n’ekizikiza bimwetooloola; obutuukirivu n’obwenkanya gwe musingi gw’entebe y’obwakabaka bwe.
Clouds and darkness are round about him; righteousness and judgment are the foundation of his throne.
3 Omuliro gumukulembera ne gwokya abalabe be ku njuyi zonna.
A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his adversaries round about.
4 Okumyansa kwe kumulisa ensi; ensi n’ekulaba n’ekankana.
His lightnings lightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.
5 Ensozi zisaanuuka ng’envumbo awali Mukama, mu maaso ga Mukama ow’ensi yonna.
The mountains melted like wax at the presence of Jehovah, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
6 Eggulu lirangirira obutuukirivu bwe; n’abantu bonna ne balaba ekitiibwa kye.
The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory.
7 Abasinza ebifaananyi ebikole n’emikono bonna baswadde, abo abeenyumiririza mu bifaananyi ebyole. Mumusinze mwe mwenna bakatonda.
Ashamed be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols. Worship him, all ye gods.
8 Sayuuni akiwulira n’asanyuka, n’ebyalo bya Yuda bijaguza; kubanga ogoberera eby’ensonga, Ayi Katonda.
Zion heard, and rejoiced; and the daughters of Judah were glad, because of thy judgments, O Jehovah.
9 Kubanga ggwe, Ayi Mukama, oli waggulu nnyo okusinga ensi; ogulumizibwa okusinga bakatonda bonna.
For thou, Jehovah, art the Most High above all the earth; thou art exalted exceedingly above all gods.
10 Abo abaagala Mukama bakyawa ekibi, akuuma obulamu bw’abamwesiga, n’abawonya okuva mu mukono gw’omukozi w’ebibi.
Ye that love Jehovah, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints, he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
11 Omusana gwe gwakira abatuukirivu, n’abalina omutima ogw’amazima bajjula essanyu.
Light is sown for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.
12 Musanyukirenga mu Mukama mmwe abatuukirivu, era mwebazenga erinnya lye ettukuvu.
Rejoice in Jehovah, ye righteous; and give thanks in remembrance of his holiness.
