1 Mujje tuyimbire Mukama; tuyimbire waggulu n’essanyu nga tutendereza Mukama Olwazi olw’obulokozi bwaffe.
Come! Let us ring out our joy to the Lord, let us merrily shout to our rock of salvation.
2 Tujje mu maaso ge n’okwebaza; tumuyimbire ennyimba ez’okumutendereza.
Before his face let us come with thanks, with songs of praise let us shout to him.
3 Kubanga Mukama ye Katonda Omukulu; era Kabaka Omukulu asinga bakatonda bonna.
For the Lord is a great God, king above all gods.
4 Enkonko ez’ensi ziri mu mukono gwe; n’entikko z’ensozi nazo zize.
In his hand are the depths of the earth, the heights of the mountains are his.
5 Ennyanja yiye, kubanga ye yagikola; n’emikono gye, gye gyabumba olukalu.
The sea is his, for he made it: the dry land was formed by his hands.
6 Mujje tusinze tuvuuname mu maaso ge; tufukamire mu maaso ga Mukama, Omutonzi waffe.
Come! Let us worship and bow on our knees to the Lord our creator.
7 Kubanga ye Katonda waffe, naffe tuli bantu ab’omu ddundiro lye, era tuli ndiga ze z’alabirira. Olwa leero bwe muwulira eddoboozi lye,
For he is our God; and we are the people he tends, the sheep in his care. If only you would heed his voice today:
8 “Temukakanyaza mitima gyammwe nga bwe kyali e Meriba, ne ku lunaku luli e Maasa mu ddungu;
‘Do not harden your hearts as at Meribah, or at Massah, that day in the desert,
9 bajjajjammwe gye bangezesa; newaakubadde baali baalaba dda ebyamagero bye nakola.
when your ancestors tempted and tried me, though they had seen my deeds.
10 Abantu b’omulembe ogwo ne mbasunguwalira okumala emyaka amakumi ana; ne ŋŋamba nti, ‘Be bantu abakyama mu mutima gwabwe, era tebamanyi makubo gange.’
‘For forty years I was filled with loathing for that generation, so I said: “A people with wandering hearts are they, and ignorant of my ways.”
11 Kyennava ndayira nga nsunguwadde nti, ‘Tebaliyingira mu kiwummulo kyange.’”
So I solemnly swore to them in my anger, that never would they enter my place of rest.’
