1 Okusaba kwa Dawudi. Otege okutu kwo, Ayi Mukama, owulire okusaba kwange, onnyanukule, kubanga ndi mwavu atalina kintu.
“A prayer of David.” Incline, O Lord, thy ear, answer me; for poor and needy am I.
2 Okuume obulamu bwange, kubanga nkuweereza n’obwesigwa. Katonda wange, ondokole nze omuddu wo akwesiga.
Preserve my soul; for I am pious: help thy servant, O thou my God, that trusteth in thee.
3 Onsaasire, Ayi Mukama, kubanga olunaku lwonna nsiiba nkukoowoola.
Be gracious unto me, O Lord; for unto thee I call all the time.
4 Osanyuse omuweereza wo Ayi Mukama; kubanga omwoyo gwange nguyimusa eyo gy’oli.
Cause to rejoice the soul of thy servant; for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift my soul.
5 Ddala ddala olina ekisa era osonyiwa, Ayi Mukama; n’abo bonna abakukoowoola obaagala nnyo.
For thou, O Lord, art good and forgiving, and abundant in kindness unto all that call on thee.
6 Owulire okusaba kwange, Ayi Mukama; owulirize eddoboozi erikaabirira ekisa kyo.
Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer, and attend to the voice of my supplications.
7 Bwe nnaabanga mu buzibu nnaakukoowoolanga; kubanga ononnyanukulanga.
On the day of my distress will I call on thee; for thou wilt answer me.
8 Mu bakatonda bonna tewali ali nga ggwe, Ayi Mukama; era teriiyo akola bikolwa ng’ebibyo.
There is none like unto thee among the Gods, O Lord; and there is nothing like thy works.
9 Ayi Mukama amawanga gonna ge watonda ganajjanga mu maaso go ne gakusinza; era ne bagulumiza erinnya lyo ery’ekitiibwa.
All the nations whom thou hast made shall come and bow themselves down before thee, O Lord; and they shall ascribe honor unto thy name.
10 Kubanga oli mukulu, era okola ebyewunyisa; ggwe wekka ggwe Katonda.
For great art thou, and doing wondrous things: thou art God by thyself alone.
11 Onjigirize ekkubo lyo, Ayi Mukama, ntambulirenga mu mazima go; ompe omutima omunywevu ogutasagaasagana, ntyenga erinnya lyo.
Teach me, O Lord, thy way; I will walk firmly in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
12 Nnaakutenderezanga, Ayi Mukama Katonda wange, n’omutima gwange gwonna; erinnya lyo nnaaligulumizanga emirembe gyonna.
I will thank thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will honor thy name for evermore.
13 Okwagala kwo okutaggwaawo kungi nnyo gye ndi; wawonya omwoyo gwange amagombe. (Sheol h7585)
For thy kindness is great toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the grave of the lower world. (Sheol h7585)
14 Ayi Katonda, ab’amalala bannumba, ekibinja ky’abantu abataliimu kusaasira bannoonya okunzita, be bantu abatakufiirako ddala.
O God, the presumptuous are risen up against me, and the assembly of the powerful wicked have sought after my life, and have not set thee before them.
15 Naye ggwe, Mukama Katonda oli musaasizi era ow’ekisa, olwawo okusunguwala, ojjudde okwagala n’obwesigwa.
But thou, O Lord, art God, full of mercy, and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in kindness and truth.
16 Onkyukire, onsaasire, ompe amaanyi go nze omuweereza wo; nze omwana w’omuweereza wo omukazi ondokole.
Oh turn unto me, and be gracious unto me: give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thy handmaid.
17 Nkolera akabonero akalaga ebirungi byo, abalabe bange bakalabe baswale; kubanga ggwe, Ayi Mukama, onnyambye era onzizizzaamu amaanyi.
Display on me a sign for good, that those who hate me may see it, and be ashamed; because thou, Lord, hast helped me, and comforted me.
