2 Amaanyi go galabike mu Efulayimu, ne mu Benyamini ne mu Manase, ojje otulokole.
Before Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh, stir up your might! Come to save us!
3 Tukomyewo gy’oli, Ayi Katonda, otutunuulize amaaso ag’ekisa, otulokole.
Turn us again, God. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.
4 Ayi Katonda, Mukama ow’Eggye, olituusa ddi okusunguwalira okusaba kw’abantu bo?
LORD God of Armies, how long will you be angry against the prayer of your people?
5 Wabaliisa emmere ejjudde amaziga; n’obanywesa ebikopo by’amaziga musera.
You have fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure.
6 Otufudde eky’okusekererwa mu baliraanwa baffe, n’abalabe baffe ne batuduulira.
You make us a source of contention to our neighbors. Our enemies laugh among themselves.
7 Tukomyewo gy’oli, Ayi Mukama ow’Eggye, otutunuulize amaaso go ag’ekisa, tulokolebwe.
Turn us again, God of Armies. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.
8 Waleeta omuzabbibu ng’oguggya mu Misiri; n’ogobamu amawanga agaali mu nsi muno n’ogusimba.
You brought a vine out of Egypt. You drove out the nations, and planted it.
9 Wagulongooseza ettaka, ne gumera, emirandira ne ginywera bulungi, ne gwagaagala mu nsi.
You cleared the ground for it. It took deep root, and filled the land.
10 Ekisiikirize kyagwo ne kibikka ensozi, n’amatabi gaagwo ne gaba ng’emivule egy’amaanyi.
The mountains were covered with its shadow. Its boughs were like God’s cedars.
11 Amatabi gaagwo ne gatuuka ku Nnyanja eya Wakati n’amatabi g’ennyanja gaayo ne gatuuka ku Mugga Fulaati.
It sent out its branches to the sea, its shoots to the River.
12 Kale wamenyera ki ebisenge byagwo, abayitawo bonna ne beenogera ebibala byagwo?
Why have you broken down its walls, so that all those who pass by the way pluck it?
13 Embizzi ez’omu kibira zigwonoona, na buli nsolo ey’omu nsiko egulya.
The boar out of the wood ravages it. The wild animals of the field feed on it.
14 Tukyukire, Ayi Katonda ow’Eggye, otunuulire ensi ng’osinziira mu ggulu; olabirire omuzabbibu guno.
Turn again, we beg you, God of Armies. Look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vine,
15 Gwe wagwesimbira n’omukono gwo ogwa ddyo, era ggwe weerondera omwana wo.
the stock which your right hand planted, the branch that you made strong for yourself.
16 Bagutemye, ne bagwokya omuliro; abakoze ekyo banenye mu bukambwe, obazikirize.
It’s burned with fire. It’s cut down. They perish at your rebuke.
17 Naye muwe amaanyi omusajja oyo gw’oyagala era omwana oyo gwe weerondera.
Let your hand be on the man of your right hand, on the son of man whom you made strong for yourself.
18 Bwe tutyo tuleme okukuvaako, n’okukukuba amabega. Otuzzeemu amaanyi, naffe tunaakoowoolanga erinnya lyo.
So we will not turn away from you. Revive us, and we will call on your name.
19 Otukomyewo gy’oli, Ayi Mukama Katonda ow’Eggye, otutunuulize amaaso go ag’ekisa, tulyoke tulokolebwe.
Turn us again, LORD God of Armies. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.
