< Zabbuli 72 >

1 Zabbuli ya Sulemaani. Ayi Katonda, kabaka omuwe okuba omwenkanya, ne mutabani we omuwe obutuukirivu,
Solomon’s. O God! thy justice, give, unto the king, And thy righteousness, unto the son of a king;
2 alyoke alamulenga abantu bo mu butuukirivu, n’abaavu abalamulenga mu mazima.
May he judge, Thy people with righteousness; And thine oppressed ones with justice;
3 Ensozi zireeterenga abantu bo okukulaakulana n’obusozi bubaleetere obutuukirivu.
May the mountains bring peace to the people, And the hills [be laden] with righteousness;
4 Anaalwaniriranga abaavu, n’atereeza abaana b’abo abeetaaga, n’omujoozi n’amusaanyaawo.
May he, Vindicate the oppressed of the people, Bring deliverance to the children of the needy, and, Crush the oppressor.
5 Abantu bakutyenga ng’enjuba n’omwezi gye bikoma okwaka mu mirembe gyonna.
Let men revere thee, With the sun, And in presence of the moon, Unto the remotest generation.
6 Abeere ng’enkuba bw’etonnya ku muddo ogusaliddwa, afaanane ng’oluwandaggirize olufukirira ensi.
Let him come down, Like rain on fields to be mown, Like myriad drops on land to be reaped.
7 Obutuukirivu bweyongere nnyo mu mulembe gwe, n’okufuga kwe kujjule emirembe okutuusa omwezi lwe gulikoma okwaka!
May righteousness, in his days, blossom forth, And abundance of peace, till there be no moon.
8 Afugenga okuva ku nnyanja okutuuka ku nnyanja, n’okuva ku mugga Fulaati okutuuka ku nkomerero z’ensi!
So let him have dominion, From sea to sea, And from the River ["Euphrates"] unto the ends of the earth;
9 Ebika eby’omu malungu bimugonderenga, n’abalabe be bamujeemulukukire beekulukuunye ne mu nfuufu.
Before him, let the men of the desert kneel, But, as for his foes, the dust, let them lick;
10 Bakabaka b’e Talusiisi n’ab’oku bizinga eby’ewala bamuwenga omusolo; bakabaka b’e Syeba n’ab’e Seeba bamutonerenga ebirabo.
The kings of Tarshish and of the Coastlands, A gift, let them render, The kings of Sheba and Seba, A present, let them bring;
11 Bakabaka bonna banaavuunamanga mu maaso ge; amawanga gonna ganaamuweerezanga.
Yea let all kings, bow down unto him, Let, all nations, serve him;
12 Kubanga anaawonyanga eyeetaaga bw’anaamukoowoolanga, n’omwavu ne kateeyamba ataliiko mwasirizi.
Because he Rescueth, The needy from the rich, The oppressed, who hath no helper;
13 Anaasaasiranga omunafu n’omwavu; n’awonya obulamu bwa kateeyamba.
He Pitieth the weak and the needy, And, the lives of the needy, he Saveth:
14 Anaabanunulanga mu mikono gy’omujoozi n’abawonya obukambwe bwe; kubanga obulamu bwabwe bwa muwendo mungi gy’ali.
From extortion, and, violence, he Redeemeth their life, And precious is their blood in his sight.
15 Awangaale! Aleeterwe zaabu okuva e Syeba. Abantu bamwegayiririrenga era bamusabirenga emikisa buli lunaku.
Let him live, then! And be there given unto him of the gold of Sheba, —Let prayer also be offered for him continually, All the day, let him be blessed.
16 Eŋŋaano ebale nnyingi nnyo mu nsi, ebikke n’entikko z’ensozi. Ebibala byayo byale ng’eby’e Lebanooni; n’abantu baale mu bibuga ng’omuddo ogw’oku ttale.
May there be an abundance of corn in the earth, in the top of the mountains, —Let the fruit thereof, wave like Lebanon, And they of the city bloom like the fresh shoots of the earth.
17 Erinnya lye libeerengawo ennaku zonna, n’okwatiikirira kwe kube kwa nkalakkalira ng’enjuba. Amawanga gonna ganaaweebwanga omukisa ku lu lw’erinnya lye, era abantu bonna bamuyitenga aweereddwa omukisa.
May his Name be age-abiding, In the presence of the sun, let his Name flourish, —And may all the families of the ground bless themselves in him, All nations, pronounce him happy!
18 Mukama Katonda agulumizibwe, Katonda wa Isirayiri, oyo yekka akola ebyewuunyisa.
Blessed be Yahweh God, the God of Israel, —Who doeth wondrous things by himself alone;
19 Erinnya lye ekkulu ligulumizibwenga emirembe n’emirembe! Ensi yonna ejjule ekitiibwa kye.
And blessed be his glorious Name, unto times age-abiding, —And filled with his glory be all the earth, Amen and Amen!
20 Okusaba kwa Dawudi mutabani wa Yese kukomye awo.
Ended are the prayers of David, son of Jesse.
