< Zabbuli 70 >
1 Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Zabbuli ya Dawudi, ey’okujjukiza. Ayi Katonda oyanguwa okundokole. Ayi Mukama oyanguwe okumbeera.
Unto the end. A Psalm of David, in remembrance that the Lord had saved him. O God, reach out to help me. O Lord, hasten to assist me.
2 Abo abannoonya okunzita batabulwetabulwe; abo abannoonya okunzikiriza, bagobebwe nga baswadde.
May those who seek my soul be confounded and awed.
3 Abagamba nti, “Kasonso,” badduke nga bajjudde ensonyi.
May those who wish evils upon me be turned back and blush with shame. May they be turned away immediately, blushing with shame, who say to me: “Well, well.”
4 Naye bonna abakunoonya basanyukenga bajagulizenga mu ggwe. Abo abaagala obulokozi bwo boogerenga bulijjo nti, “Katonda agulumizibwenga!”
Let all who seek you exult and rejoice in you, and let those who love your salvation forever say: “The Lord be magnified.”
5 Naye nze ndi mwavu era ndi mu kwetaaga; oyanguwe okujja gye ndi, Ayi Katonda. Ggwe onnyamba era ggwe ondokola, Ayi Mukama, tolwa!
I am truly destitute and poor. O God, assist me. You are my helper and my deliverer. O Lord, do not delay.
