< Zabbuli 68 >

1 Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Oluyimba lwa Dawudi. Katonda agolokoke, abalabe be basaasaane, n’abo abamukyawa bamudduke.
For the leader. Of David. A psalm. A song. God arises, his enemies scatter: they who hate him flee before him.
2 Ng’empewo bw’efuumuula omukka, naawe bafuumuule bw’otyo; envumbo nga bw’esaanuuka mu muliro, n’abakola ebibi bazikirire bwe batyo mu maaso ga Katonda!
As smoke before wind is driven, as wax melts before fire, so before God vanish the wicked.
3 Naye abatuukirivu basanyuke bajagulize mu maaso ga Katonda, nga bajjudde essanyu.
But the righteous rejoice in God’s presence, they exult with exceeding joy.
4 Muyimbire Katonda, muyimbe nga mutendereza erinnya lye; mumuyimusize amaloboozi gammwe oyo atambulira mu bire. Erinnya lye ye Mukama, mujagulize mu maaso ge.
Sing to God, make music to his name, his name is the Lord, praise him who rides on the clouds, and exult in his presence.
5 Ye Kitaawe w’abataliiko bakitaabwe, ye mukuumi wa bannamwandu; ye Katonda abeera mu kifo kye ekitukuvu.
Father of orphans, defender of widows, is God in his holy abode.
6 Katonda afunira abatalina we babeera ekifo eky’okubeeramu, aggya abasibe mu kkomera n’abagaggawaza; naye abajeemu babeera mu bifo bikalu ddala.
God brings home the lonely, he leads forth the prisoner to comfort, so that none but the rebel lives cheerless.
7 Ayi Katonda, bwe wakulembera abantu bo, n’obayisa mu ddungu,
God, when you went in front of your people in your march through the desert, (Selah)
8 ensi yakankana, eggulu ne lifukumula enkuba mu maaso ga Katonda; n’olusozi Sinaayi ne lukankana awali Katonda, Katonda wa Isirayiri!
earth shook, the heavens poured rain at the presence of God, Sinai’s God at the presence of God, Israel’s God.
9 Watonnyesa enkuba nnyingi ku nsi, Ayi Katonda; ensi y’obusika bwo n’ogizzaamu obugimu bwe bwali nga buggweerera;
Rain in abundance, God, you did sprinkle, restoring the languishing land of your heritage.
10 abantu bo ne babeera omwo; era olw’ekisa kyo ekingi, Ayi Katonda, abaavu ne bafuna bye beetaaga okuva ku bugagga bwo.
A dwelling therein your people found: in your goodness, O God, you did care for the poor.
11 Mukama yalangirira; ne babunyisa ekigambo kye; baali bangi ne boogera nti:
The Lord spoke the glad tidings of victory, a great army of women proclaim it:
12 “Bakabaka badduse n’amaggye gaabwe; abantu ne bagabana omunyago.
“Kings of armies they flee, they flee, and the housewife divides the spoil:
13 Balabe bwe banyirira n’obugagga bwa ffeeza ne zaabu! Babikkiddwa ng’ejjuba bwe libikkibwa ebiwaawaatiro byalyo.”
dove’s wings covered with silver and pinions with shimmer of gold,
14 Ayinzabyonna yasaasaanya bakabaka, ne baba ng’omuzira bwe gugwa ku Zalumoni.
set with stones, like snow upon Zalmon.”
15 Ggwe olusozi olw’ekitiibwa, olusozi lwa Basani; ggwe olusozi olw’emitwe emingi, olusozi lwa Basani!
A mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan, a mountain of peaks is the mountain of Bashan.
16 Lwaki otunuza obuggya ggwe olusozi olw’emitwe emingi? Lwaki okwatirwa obuggya olusozi Katonda lwe yalonda okufugirako? Ddala okwo Mukama kw’anaabeeranga ennaku zonna.
You high-peaked mountains, why look you askance at the mountain which God has desired for his home whereon the Lord will live forever?
17 Mukama ava ku lusozi Sinaayi nga yeetooloddwa amagaali enkumi n’enkumi n’ajja mu kifo kye ekitukuvu.
The chariots of God are twice ten thousand: the Lord came from Sinai, his holy place.
18 Bwe walinnyalinnya olusozi, ng’abanyage bakugoberera; abantu ne bakuwa ebirabo nga ne bakyewaggula mwebali; bw’atyo Mukama Katonda n’abeeranga wamu nabo.
You did mount the height with trains of your captives, and gifts that you had received from the people. The rebels shall live with the Lord God.
19 Atenderezebwe Mukama, Katonda omulokozi waffe, eyeetikka emigugu gyaffe egya buli lunaku.
Blest be the Lord who sustains us daily, the God who is also our savior. (Selah)
20 Katonda waffe ye Katonda alokola; era tuddukira eri Mukama Katonda okuwona okufa.
Our God is a God who is savior. The ways of escape from death are known to the Lord God.
21 Ddala, Katonda alibetenta emitwe gy’abalabe be, kubanga ne mu bukadde bwabwe balemera mu bibi byabwe.
Yes, God will shatter the head of his foes the rough scalp of those who strut on in their sins.
22 Mukama agamba nti, “Ndibakomyawo nga mbaggya mu Basani, ndibazza nga mbaggya mu buziba bw’ennyanja,
The Lord said: “I will bring you home from Bashan, home from the depths of the sea,
23 mulyoke munaabe ebigere byammwe mu musaayi gw’abalabe bammwe, n’embwa zammwe zeefunire ebyokulya.”
that your feet you may bathe in blood, and your dogs lick their share of the foe.”
24 Ekibiina kyo ky’okulembedde bakirabye, Ayi Katonda, balabye abali ne Katonda wange, era Kabaka wange, ng’otambula okugenda mu watukuvu;
In the temple appear God’s triumphal processions, processions in praise of my king and my God,
25 abayimbi nga bakulembedde, ab’ebivuga nga bavaako emabega ne wakati waabwe nga waliwo abawala abakuba ebitaasa.
with singers in front, and minstrels behind, and maidens with timbrels between them, singing,
26 Mutendereze Katonda mu kibiina ekinene; mumutendereze Mukama, mmwe abakuŋŋaanye abangi Abayisirayiri.
“You of the well-spring of Israel, bless the Lord God in the dance.”
27 Waliwo ekika kya Benyamini asinga obuto kye kikulembedde, ne kuddako ekibinja ekinene eky’abalangira ba Yuda, n’abalangira ba Zebbulooni n’abalangira ba Nafutaali.
There, in front, is Benjamin the little, the princes of Judah beside them, the princes of Zebulon, princes of Naphtali.
28 Laga obuyinza bwo, Ayi Katonda, otulage amaanyi go, Ayi Katonda onyweze ebyo by’otukoledde.
God, show your strength, your godlike might, as you did in the past,
29 Bakabaka balikuleetera ebirabo olwa Yeekaalu yo eri mu Yerusaalemi.
from your temple that crowns Jerusalem. Kings shall bring tribute to you.
30 Nenya ensolo enkambwe ey’omu bisaalu, eggana lya ziseddume eriri mu nnyana z’amawanga. Gikkakkanye ereete omusolo ogwa ffeeza. Osaasaanye amawanga agasanyukira entalo.
Rebuke the beast of the reed, the herd of bulls, with the calves of the peoples. Trample down the lovers of lies. Scatter the nations whose joy is in war.
31 Ababaka baliva e Misiri, ne Kuusi aligondera Katonda.
May they come from Egypt with gifts of oil, Ethiopia haste with full hands to God.
32 Muyimbire Katonda mmwe obwakabaka obw’ensi zonna. Mutendereze Mukama.
Sing to God, O you kingdoms of earth, make melody to the Lord. (Selah)
33 Oyo eyeebagala eggulu erya waggulu ery’edda, eddoboozi lye ery’amaanyi liwuluguma okuva mu ggulu.
Praise him who rides on the ancient heavens. See! He utters his voice, his mighty voice.
34 Mulangirire obuyinza bwa Katonda, ekitiibwa kye kibuutikidde Isirayiri; obuyinza bwe buli mu bire.
Ascribe strength to the God over Israel, whose strength and majesty live in the skies.
35 Oli wa ntiisa, Ayi Katonda, mu kifo kyo ekitukuvu. Katonda wa Isirayiri, yawa abantu obuyinza n’amaanyi. Katonda atenderezebwe.
Awe-inspiring is God in his holy place, it is Israel’s God who gives strength and might to his people. Blessed be God.
