< Zabbuli 64 >

1 Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Zabbuli ya Dawudi. Ayi Katonda, owulire eddoboozi lyange, ery’okwemulugunya kwange; okuume obulamu bwange eri okutiisibwatiisibwa omulabe.
“To the chief musician, a psalm of David.” Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint: preserve my life from the dread of the enemy.
2 Onkweke mpone enkwe z’abakola ebibi, onzigye mu kibinja ky’aboonoonyi, abaleekaana
Hide me from the secret counsel of evil-doers, from the tumultuous assault of the workers of wickedness;
3 abawagala ennimi zaabwe ng’ebitala, ne balasa ebigambo byabwe ng’obusaale obutta.
Who whet their tongue like a sword, who aim with their arrow, the bitter word:
4 Beekweka ne bateega oyo atalina musango bamulase; amangwago ne bamulasa nga tebatya.
To shoot in secret at the innocent; suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
5 Bawagiragana mu kigendererwa kyabwe ekibi ne bateesa okutega emitego mu kyama; ne boogera nti, “Ani asobola okutulaba?”
They encourage themselves in an evil plan; they tell secretly of laying snares: they say, Who will see them?
6 Beekobaana okukola ebitali bya bwenkanya, ne boogera nti, “Tukoze enteekateeka empitirivu.” Ddala ddala ebirowoozo by’omuntu n’omutima gwe byekusifu.
They search out iniquities; “We are ready with the carefully searched out device:” and the inward thought and heart of each is deeply [hidden].
7 Naye Katonda alibalasa n’obusaale bwe; alibafumita, mangwago ne bagwa ku ttaka.
But God shooteth at them suddenly [his] arrow; —[thence] are come their wounds.
8 Ebyo bye boogera biribaddira, ne bibazikiriza, ababalaba ne babanyeenyeza emitwe.
And their own tongues will stumble over themselves: all that look on them will shake their head.
9 Olwo abantu bonna ne batya, ne bategeeza abalala omulimu gwa Katonda, ne bafumiitiriza ku ebyo by’akoze.
All men shall fear, and shall declare the deeds of God, and understand his works.
10 Omutuukirivu ajagulizenga mu Mukama, era yeekwekenga mu ye. Abo bonna abalina omutima omulongoofu bamutenderezenga!
The righteous shall rejoice in the Lord, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glorify themselves.
