1 Eri Omukulu wa Bayimbi. Eyimbibwa n’ebivuga eby’enkoba. Zabbuli ya Dawudi. Ayi Mukama, tonnenya ng’ojjudde obusungu; so tombonereza mu kiruyi kyo.
“To the chief musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, a psalm of David.” O Lord, correct me not in thy anger, and chastise me not in thy wrath.
2 Onsaasire, Ayi Mukama, kubanga ndi munafu. Omponye, Ayi Mukama, kubanga amagumba gange gali mu bulumi.
Be gracious unto me, O Lord; for I am withering away; heal me, O Lord; for my bones are terrified.
3 Emmeeme yange ejjudde ennaku. Olirindirira kutuusa ddi olyoke onnyambe?
And my soul is greatly terrified; but thou, O Lord, how long yet—?
4 Onkyukire, Ayi Mukama, olokole omwoyo gwange; omponye okufa olw’okwagala kwo okungi.
Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: help me for the sake of thy kindness.
5 Kubanga tewali ayinza kukujjukira ng’amaze okufa. Ani alikutendereza ng’asinziira emagombe? (Sheol h7585)
For in death men do not remember thee: in the nether world, who shall give thee thanks? (Sheol h7585)
6 Mpweddemu amaanyi olw’okusinda. Buli kiro obuliri bwange bujjula amaziga gange n’omutto ne gutoba.
I am weary with my sighing; I flood every night my bed; With my tears I moisten my couch.
7 Amaaso gange ganafuye olw’okunyolwa, tegakyalaba bulungi olw’abalabe bange.
My eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all my assailants.
8 Muve we ndi mmwe mwenna abakola ebibi; kubanga Mukama awulidde okukaaba kwange.
Depart from me, all ye workers of wickedness; for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.
9 Mukama awulidde okwegayirira kwange, n’okusaba kwange akukkirizza.
The Lord hath heard my supplication; the Lord will accept my prayer.
10 Abalabe bange bonna baliswazibwa era balitya nnyo; bazzibwe emabega nga bajjudde obuswavu mangu ago.
Ashamed and greatly terrified shall become all my enemies; they will turn round, and be made ashamed in a moment.
