< Zabbuli 5 >

1 Ya mukulu wa Bayimbi. Ya ndere. Zabbuli ya Dawudi. Otege okutu eri ebigambo byange, Ayi Mukama; olowooze ku kunyolwa kwange.
To the Chief Musician. For the Flutes. A Melody of David. To my words, give ear, O Yahweh, Understand thou my softly murmured prayer:
2 Wuliriza eddoboozi ly’omulanga gwange, Ayi Kabaka wange era Katonda wange: kubanga ggwe gwe nsaba.
Attend to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for, unto thee, do I pray.
3 Ayi Mukama, buli nkya owulira eddoboozi lyange; buli nkya ndeeta gy’oli okusaba kwange, ne nnindirira onziremu.
O Yahweh! in the morning, shalt thou hear my voice, In the morning, will I set in order unto thee, and keep watch;
4 Kubanga ggwe Ayi Katonda, tosanyukira bibi: n’ebitasaana tobigumiikiriza.
For, not a GOD finding pleasure in lawlessness, art thou, and wrong can be no guest of thine:
5 Ab’amalala era abakola ebibi tobeetaaga mu maaso go: kubanga okyawa abakola ebibi bonna.
Boasters, shall not station themselves, before thine eyes, —Thou hatest all workers of iniquity:
6 Abalimba bonna obazikiriza; Mukama akyawa abatemu era n’abalimba.
Thou wilt destroy them who speak falsehood, —The man of bloodshed and of deceit, Yahweh abhorreth.
7 Naye olw’ekisa kyo ekingi, nze nnaayingiranga mu nnyumba yo: ne nkusinziza mu Yeekaalu yo Entukuvu n’okutya okungi.
But, I, in the abounding of thy lovingkindness, will enter thy house, I will bow down towards thy holy temple, in reverence of thee:
8 Onkulembere, Ayi Mukama, mu butuukirivu bwo, olw’abalabe bange, ondage ekkubo eggolokofu ery’okutambulirangamu.
O Yahweh! lead me in thy righteousness, because of mine adversaries, Make even, before me, thy way:
9 Abalabe bange bye boogera tebyesigibwa; emitima gyabwe gijjudde bussi bwereere. Emimiro gyabwe ntaana eyasaamiridde: akamwa kaabwe koogera bya bulimba.
For in his mouth is nothing worthy of trust, Their inward purpose, is engulphing ruin, —An opened sepulchre, is their throat, With their tongue, speak they smooth things.
10 Basalire omusango gubasinge, Ayi Katonda; baleke bagwe mu mitego gyabwe. Bagobe kubanga baakujeemera.
Declare them guilty, O God, Let them fall by their own counsels, —Into the throng of their own transgressions, thrust them down, For they have rebelled against thee: —
11 Naye leka abo bonna abakwesiga basanyukenga; ennaku zonna bayimbenga n’essanyu, obakuumenga, abo abaagala erinnya lyo basanyukirenga mu ggwe.
That all may rejoice who seek refuge in thee, to times age-abiding, may shout in triumph, that thou wilt protect them, and they may leap for joy in thee who are lovers of thy Name.
12 Kubanga, Ayi Mukama, omutuukirivu omuwa omukisa; era omukuuma, n’omwetoolooza okwagala ng’engabo.
For, thou, wilt bless the righteous man, O Yahweh, As with an all-covering shield—with good pleasure, wilt thou encompass him.
