1 Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Zabbuli ya Batabani ba Koola. Mukube mu ngalo mmwe amawanga gonna; muyimuse amaloboozi muyimbire nnyo Katonda ennyimba ez’essanyu;
You people all [over the world], clap your hands for joy! Shout joyfully to [praise] God!
2 Mukama Ali Waggulu Ennyo wa ntiisa. Ye Kabaka afuga ensi yonna.
Yahweh, who is much greater than any other god, is awesome; he is the king who rules over all the world!
3 Yatujeemululira abantu, n’atujeemululira amawanga ne tugafuga.
He enabled us to defeat [the armies of] the people-groups [that lived in Canaan].
4 Yatulondera omugabo gwaffe, Yakobo gw’ayagala mwe yeenyumiririza.
He chose for us this land where we now live; we Israeli people [MTY], whom he loves, are proud that we own this land.
5 Katonda alinnye waggulu ng’atenderezebwa mu maloboozi ag’essanyu eringi. Mukama alinnye nga n’amakondeere gamuvugira.
God has gone up [into his temple]. The people shouted joyfully and blew trumpets as Yahweh went up.
6 Mutendereze Katonda, mumutendereze. Mumutendereze Kabaka waffe, mumutendereze.
Sing songs to praise our God! Sing to praise him [DOU]! Sing to God, our king!
7 Kubanga Katonda ye Kabaka w’ensi yonna, mumutendereze ne Zabbuli ey’ettendo.
God is the one who rules over everything in the world; sing a psalm to him!
8 Katonda afuga amawanga gonna; afuga amawanga ng’atudde ku ntebe ye entukuvu.
God sits on his sacred throne as he rules over the people of [all] ethnic groups.
9 Abakungu bannaggwanga bakuŋŋanye ng’abantu ba Katonda wa Ibulayimu; kubanga Katonda y’afuga abakulembeze b’ensi. Katonda agulumizibwenga nnyo.
The rulers of those people-groups gather as God’s people, the people [descended] from Abraham, [do]. But God has more power than the weapons/shields [of all the kings] on the earth; (he is greatly honored/people honor him) everywhere.
