< Zabbuli 45 >
1 Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Oluyimba “olw’Amalanga.” Zabbuli ya Batabani ba Koola. Omutima gwange gujjudde ebigambo ebirungi nga nnyimba oluyimba lwa Kabaka. Olulimi lwange kkalaamu y’omuwandiisi omukugu.
For the music director. To the tune “Lilies.” A psalm (maskil) of the sons of Korah. A love song. I am moved to write about this wonderful subject. Let me share what I have written for the king. What I say comes from the pen of a skilled author.
2 Ggw’osinga abaana b’abantu obulungi; n’akamwa ko nga kafukiddwako amafuta ag’ekisa. Kubanga Katonda akuwadde omukisa emirembe gyonna.
You are more handsome than anyone else. You always speak graciously, for God has blessed you forever.
3 Weesibe ekitala kyo, Ayi ggwe ow’amaanyi, yambala ekitiibwa kyo n’obukulu bwo!
Strap on your sword, mighty warrior, stride out in glory and majesty!
4 Weebagale embalaasi yo mu kitiibwa kyo eky’obuwanguzi, ng’olwanirira amazima, obuwombeefu, n’obutuukirivu. Omukono gwo ogwa ddyo gukole ebyewuunyisa.
In your majesty ride out to victory, in the defense of truth, humility, and right, because you are strong and act powerfully.
5 Obusaale bwo obwogi bufumite emitima gy’abalabe ba kabaka; afuge amawanga.
Your sharp arrows pierce the hearts of your enemies; the nations fall under you.
6 Entebe yo ey’obwakabaka, Ayi Katonda, ya lubeerera; n’omuggo ogw’obwenkanya gwe guliba ogw’obwakabaka bwo.
Your throne comes from God, and lasts forever and ever. The scepter with which you rule is a scepter of fairness.
7 Oyagala obutuukirivu n’okyawa okukola ebibi; noolwekyo Katonda, Katonda wo, kyavudde akugulumiza n’akufukako amafuta ag’essanyu okusinga bakabaka banno bonna.
You love what is right and hate what is wrong. That is why God, your God, has placed you above everyone else by anointing you with the oil of joy.
8 Ebyambalo byo birina akawoowo ka mmooli ne alowe, ne kasiya. Ebivuga eby’enkoba bikusanyusiza mu mbiri zo ez’amasanga.
Your robes are perfumed with aloes, myrrh, and cassia; music played on stringed instruments in palaces decorated with ivory makes you happy.
9 Mu bakyala bo mulimu abambejja; namasole ali ku mukono gwo ogwa ddyo ng’ayambadde ebya zaabu ya Ofiri.
The daughters of kings are among the noblewomen; the queen stands beside you on your right, wearing jewelry made of gold from Ophir.
10 Muwala, wuliriza bye nkugamba: “Weerabire ab’ewammwe n’ab’omu nnyumba ya kitaawo.
Listen to what I have to say, daughter; please pay attention. Don't pine for your people and your family.
11 Kabaka akulowoozaako nnyo, kubanga walungiwa n’oyitirira; nga bw’ali mukama wo, muwenga ekitiibwa.”
May the king desire you in your beauty; respect him, for he is your lord.
12 Muwala w’e Ttuulo alijja n’ekirabo, abasajja abagagga balikwegayirira obalage ekisa kyo.
The people of Tyre will come with gifts; rich people will look for your favor.
13 Omuwala wa kabaka ajjudde ekitiibwa mu kisenge kye, ng’ayambadde ekyambalo ekyalukibwa ne zaabu.
Inside her preparation room the princess bride looks wonderful in her golden gown.
14 Aleetebwa mu maaso ga kabaka ng’ayambadde ebyambalo eby’emidalizo emingi. Emperekeze ze zimuwerekerako; bonna ne bajja gy’oli.
Wearing her beautiful clothes she is brought to the king, followed by her bridesmaids.
15 Baleetebwa nga bajjudde essanyu n’okweyagala, ne bayingira mu lubiri lwa kabaka.
What a happy, joyful procession enters the king's palace!
16 Batabani bo baliweebwa ebifo bya bajjajjaabwe, olibafuula ng’abalangira mu nsi omwo.
Your sons will take the place of your fathers; as princes you will make them rulers throughout the land.
17 Erinnya lyo linajjukirwanga emirembe gyonna. Amawanga kyeganaavanga gakutendereza emirembe n’emirembe.
Through my words you will be famous through all generations, and nations will praise you forever and ever.
