< Zabbuli 34 >

1 Ya Dawudi. Bwe yeefuula okuba omugu w’eddalu mu maaso ga Abimereki, oluvannyuma eyamugoba, era naye n’amuviira. Nnaagulumizanga Mukama buli kiseera, akamwa kange kanaamutenderezanga bulijjo.
I will bless Jehovah at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 Omwoyo gwange guneenyumiririzanga mu Mukama; ababonyaabonyezebwa bawulire bajaguzenga.
My soul shall make its boast in Jehovah. The humble shall hear of it, and be glad.
3 Kale tutendereze Mukama, ffenna tugulumizenga erinnya lye.
O magnify Jehovah with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4 Nanoonya Mukama, n’annyanukula; n’ammalamu okutya kwonna.
I sought Jehovah, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 Abamwesiga banajjulanga essanyu, era tebaaswalenga.
They looked to him, and were radiant, and their faces shall never be confounded.
6 Omunaku ono yakoowoola Mukama n’amwanukula, n’amumalako ebyali bimuteganya byonna.
This poor man cried, and Jehovah heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 Malayika wa Mukama yeebungulula abo abatya Mukama, n’abawonya.
The agent of Jehovah encamps round about those who fear him, and delivers them.
8 Mulegeeko mulabe nga Mukama bw’ali omulungi! Balina omukisa abaddukira gy’ali.
O taste and see that Jehovah is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
9 Musseemu Mukama ekitiibwa mmwe abatukuvu be, kubanga abamutya tebaajulenga.
O fear Jehovah, ye his sanctified, for there is no want to those who fear him.
10 Empologoma zirumwa enjala ne ziggwaamu amaanyi; naye abo abanoonya Mukama, ebirungi tebiibaggwengako.
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek Jehovah shall not want any good thing.
11 Mujje wano baana bange, mumpulirize; mbayigirize okutya Mukama.
Come, ye children, hearken to me. I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.
12 Oyagala okuwangaala mu bulamu obulungi, okuba mu ssanyu emyaka emingi?
What man is he who desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good?
13 Olulimi lwo lukuumenga luleme okwogera ebitasaana, n’akamwa ko kaleme okwogera eby’obulimba.
Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking deceit.
14 Lekeraawo okukola ebibi, okolenga ebirungi; noonya emirembe era ogigobererenga.
Depart from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it.
15 Amaaso ga Mukama gatunuulira abo abatuukirivu, n’amatu ge gawulira okukaaba kwabwe.
The eyes of Jehovah are toward the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer.
16 Mukama amaliridde okumalawo abakola ebibi, okubasaanyizaawo ddala n’obutaddayo kujjukirwa ku nsi.
(The face of Jehovah is against those who do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.)
17 Abatuukirivu bakoowoola Mukama n’abawulira n’abawonya mu byonna ebiba bibateganya.
They cried, and Jehovah heard, and delivered them out of all their troubles.
18 Mukama abeera kumpi n’abalina emitima egimenyese, era alokola abo abalina emyoyo egyennyise.
Jehovah is near to those who are of a broken heart, and saves such as are of a contrite spirit.
19 Omuntu omutuukirivu ayinza n’okuba n’ebizibu bingi, naye byonna Mukama abimuyisaamu.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Jehovah delivers him out of them all.
20 Amagumba ge gonna Mukama agakuuma, ne watabaawo na limu limenyeka.
He keeps all his bones. Not one of them is broken.
21 Ekibi kiritta abakola ebibi, n’abalabe b’abatuukirivu balibonerezebwa.
Evil shall kill the wicked, and those who hate the righteous shall be condemned.
22 Mukama anunula abaweereza be; so tewali n’omu ku abo abaddukira gy’ali alibonerezebwa.
Jehovah redeems the soul of his servants, and none of those who take refuge in him shall be condemned.
