< Zabbuli 28 >
1 Zabbuli ya Dawudi. Nkukoowoola ggwe, Ayi Mukama, Olwazi lwange, tolema kumpuliriza; kubanga bw’onoonsiriikirira nzija kuba nga bali abakkirira mu kinnya.
Of David. Unto you, O Lord, do I cry; my rock, be not deaf to me: lest, through holding your peace, I become like those who go down to the pit.
2 Owulire eddoboozi ery’okwegayirira kwange, nga mpanise emikono gyange okwolekera ekifo kyo ekisinga byonna obutukuvu, nga nkukaabirira okunnyamba.
Hear my loud entreaty, as I cry for help to you, lifting my hands, O Lord, towards your holy chancel.
3 Tontwalira mu boonoonyi, abakola ebibi; abanyumya obulungi ne bannaabwe, so ng’emitima gyabwe gijjudde bukyayi bwerere.
Take me not off with the wicked, nor with the workers of wrong, whose speech to their neighbours is friendly, while evil is in their heart.
4 Basasule ng’ebikolwa byabwe bwe biri, n’olw’ebyambyone bye bakoze. Basasule olwa byonna emikono gyabwe gye bisobezza, obabonereze nga bwe basaanidde.
Give them as they have done, as their wicked deeds deserve. As their hands have wrought, so give to them: requite to them their deserts.
5 Olwokubanga tebafaayo ku mirimu gya Mukama, oba ku ebyo bye yakola n’emikono gye, alibazikiririza ddala, era talibaddiramu.
They are blind to all that the Lord does, to all that his hands have wrought; and so he will tear them down, to build them up no more.
6 Atenderezebwe Mukama, kubanga awulidde eddoboozi ly’okwegayirira kwange.
Blest be the Lord, who has heard my voice as I plead for mercy.
7 Mukama ge maanyi gange, era ye ngabo yange, ye gwe neesiga. Bwe ntyo ne nyambibwa. Omutima gwange gunaajaguzanga, ne mmuyimbira ennyimba ez’okumwebazanga.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him. I was helped: so my heart is exultant, and in my song I will praise him.
8 Mukama y’awa abantu be amaanyi, era kye kiddukiro eky’obulokozi bw’oyo gwe yafukako amafuta.
The Lord is the strength of his people, the fortress who saves his anointed.
9 Olokole abantu bo, obawe omukisa abalonde bo. Obakulemberenga ng’omusumba, era obawanirirenga emirembe gyonna.
O save your people, and bless your inheritance. Be their shepherd and carry them forever.
