< Zabbuli 22 >
1 Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Zabbuli ya Dawudi. Katonda wange, Katonda wange, lwaki onjabulidde? Lwaki ogaana okunnyamba wadde okuwuliriza okwaziirana kwange?
To the Chief Musician. On "the Hind of the Dawn." A Melody of David. My GOD, my GOD, why hast thou forsaken me? Far from saving me, The words of my loud lamentation?
2 Ayi Katonda wange, emisana nkukoowoola, naye tonnyanukula; n’ekiro bwe ntyo, naye siweerako.
My God! I keep crying—By day, and thou dost not answer, and, By night, and there is no rest for me.
3 Songa ggwe Mutukuvu atudde ku Ntebe, era ettendo lya Isirayiri yonna.
But, thou, art holy, Who inhabitest the praises of Israel.
4 Bajjajjaffe baakwesiganga; baakwesiga naawe n’obawonya.
In thee, trusted our fathers, They trusted, and thou didst deliver them;
5 Baakukoowoolanga n’obalokola; era baakwesiganga ne batajulirira.
Unto thee, made they outcry, and escaped, In thee, they trusted, and had not turned pale.
6 Naye nze ndi lusiriŋŋanyi, siri muntu; abantu bampisaamu amaaso, n’abalala bannyooma.
But, I, am a worm and no one, a reproach of men, and despised of a people;
7 Bonna abandaba banduulira, era banvuma nga bwe banyeenyeza omutwe nga bagamba nti,
All that see me, laugh at me, —They open wide the mouth, They shake the head: —
8 “Yeesiga Mukama; kale amuwonye. Obanga Mukama amwagala, kale nno amulokole!”
He should trust in Yahweh—let him deliver him, —Let him rescue him, seeing he delighteth in him.
9 Naye ggwe wanziggya mu lubuto lwa mmange, era wampa okukwesiga ne mu buto bwange bwonna nga nkyayonka.
For, thou, art he that severed me from the womb, he that caused me to trust, upon the breasts of my mother;
10 Olwazaalibwa ne nteekebwa mu mikono gyo; olwava mu lubuto lwa mmange n’obeera Katonda wange.
Upon thee, was I cast from the time I was born, From the womb of my mother, my GOD, hast thou been.
11 Tobeera wala nange, kubanga emitawaana ginsemberedde, ate nga tewali mulala n’omu asobola kunnyamba.
Be not far from me, for, distress, is near, For there is none to help.
12 Zisseddume nnyingi zinneetoolodde, zisseddume enkambwe ez’e Basani zinzingizizza.
Many bulls have surrounded me, Strong oxen of Bashan, have enclosed me;
13 Banjasamiza akamwa kaabwe ng’empologoma bw’ewuluguma ng’etaagulataagula omuyiggo gwayo.
They have opened wide against me their mouth, A lion rending and roaring.
14 Ngiyiddwa ng’amazzi, n’amagumba gange gasowose mu nnyingo zaago. Omutima gwange guli ng’obubaane, era gusaanuukidde mu mubiri gwange.
Like water, am I poured out, and, put out of joint, are all my bones, —My heart, hath become, like wax, it is melted in the midst of my body;
15 Amaanyi gampweddemu, gakaze ng’oluggyo; n’olulimi lwange lukutte waggulu mu kibuno kyange. Ondese awo mu nfuufu ng’omufu.
Dried as a potsherd, is my strength, And, my tongue, is made to cleave to my gums, And, in the dust of death, wilt thou lay me.
16 Abantu ababi banneetoolodde; banneebunguludde ng’embwa ennyingi; banfumise ne bawummula ebibatu byange n’ebigere byange.
For dogs have surrounded me, —An assembly of evil doers, have encircled me, They have pierced my hands and my feet,
17 Amagumba gansowose nnyinza n’okugabala. Abalabe bange bantunuulira nga bannyoomoola.
I may tell all my bones, They, look for—they behold me!
18 Bagabana engoye zange; era ekyambalo kyange bakikubira akalulu.
They part my garments among them, and, for my vestment, they cast lots.
19 Naye ggwe, Ayi Mukama, tobeera wala nange. Ggwe, Amaanyi gange, yanguwa okunnyamba!
But, thou, O Yahweh, be not far off, O my help! to aid me, make haste;
20 Omponye okuttibwa n’ekitala; obulamu bwange obw’omuwendo butaase mu maanyi g’embwa!
Rescue, from the sword, my life, from the power of the dog, my solitary self:
21 Nzigya mu kamwa k’empologoma, omponye amayembe g’embogo enkambwe.
Save me from the mouth of the lion, —Yea, from the horns of wild beasts, hast thou delivered me.
22 Nnaategezanga ku linnya lyo mu booluganda; nnaakutenderezanga mu kibiina ky’abantu.
I will declare thy Name unto my brethren, —In the midst of the convocation, will I praise thee.
23 Mmwe abatya Mukama, mumutenderezenga. Abaana ba Yakobo mwenna mumugulumizenga; era mumussengamu ekitiibwa nga mumutya, mmwe abaana ba Isirayiri mwenna.
Ye that revere Yahweh, praise him, All ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him, And, stand in awe of him, all ye seed of Israel.
24 Kubanga tanyooma kwaziirana kw’abo abali mu nnaku, era tabeekweka, wabula abaanukula bwe bamukoowoola.
For he hath not despised nor abhorred the humbling of the patient one, neither hath he hid his face from him, but, when he cried for help unto him, he heard.
25 Mu ggwe mwe muva ettendo lyange mu kibiina ekinene, ne nkutendereza olw’ebyo by’onkoledde. Obweyamo bwange nnaabutuukirizanga mu maaso gaabo abakutya.
Of thee, is my praise in the great convocation, My vows, will I pay, before them who revere him.
26 Abaavu banaalyanga ne bakkuta, abo abanoonya Mukama banaamutenderezanga. Emitima gyabwe ginaajaguzanga emirembe gyonna.
The patient wronged-ones shall eat and be satisfied, They shall praise Yahweh, who are seekers of him, Let your heart live for aye.
27 Ensi zonna zirijjukira ne zikyukira Mukama, ebika byonna eby’amawanga gonna birimuvuunamira.
All the ends of the earth, will remember and turn to Yahweh, Yea all the families of the nations, will bow themselves down before thee,
28 Kubanga obwakabaka bwonna bwa Mukama, era y’afuga amawanga gonna.
For, to Yahweh, belongeth the kingdom, And One to Rule over the nations.
29 Abagagga bonna ab’omu nsi balirya embaga, ne bamusinza. Bonna abagenda mu nfuufu, balimufukaamirira, abatakyali balamu.
All the great ones of the earth, shall eat and bow down, Before him shall kneel, all that go down to the dust, Even he who had not kept alive, his own soul!
30 Ezadde lyabwe lirimuweereza; abaliddawo balibuulirwa ekigambo kya Mukama.
My seed, shall serve him, It shall be recounted, of the Lord, to a generation that shall come:
31 N’abo abatannazaalibwa balibuulirwa obutuukirivu bwe nti, “Ekyo yakikoze.”
That his righteousness may be declared to a people to be born, That he wrought with effect!
