1 Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Zabbuli ya Dawudi. Mukama akwanukulenga ng’oli mu buzibu. Erinnya lya Katonda wa Yakobo likukuumenga.
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee.
2 Akuweerezenga obuyambi obuva mu kifo kye ekitukuvu; akudduukirirenga okuva ku lusozi Sayuuni.
Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion.
3 Ajjukirenga ssaddaaka zo zonna z’omuwa, era asiimenga ebiweebwayo byo ebyokebwa.
Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt-sacrifice. (Selah)
4 Akuwenga omutima gwo bye gwetaaga, era atuukirizenga by’oteekateeka byonna.
Grant thee according to thy own heart, and fulfill all thy counsel.
5 Tulijaganya olw’obuwanguzi bwo, ne tuwuuba ebendera zaffe mu linnya lya Katonda waffe. Mukama akuwenga byonna by’omusaba.
We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up [our] banners: the LORD fulfill all thy petitions.
6 Kaakano ntegedde nga Mukama awanguza oyo gwe yafukako amafuta, amwanukula ng’amuwa obuwanguzi n’omukono gwe ogwa ddyo, ng’asinziira mu ggulu lye ettukuvu.
Now I know that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.
7 Abamu beesiga amagaali, n’abalala beesiga embalaasi, naye ffe twesiga erinnya lya Mukama Katonda waffe.
Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
8 Batalantuka ne bagwa wansi ne balemerawo, naye ffe tugolokoka ne tuyimirira nga tuli banywevu.
They are brought down and fallen: but we are raised, and stand upright.
9 Ayi Mukama, lokola kabaka, otwanukule bwe tukukoowoola.
Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call.
