1 Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Zabbuli ya Dawudi. Mukama akwanukulenga ng’oli mu buzibu. Erinnya lya Katonda wa Yakobo likukuumenga.
For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The LORD answer thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob set thee up on high;
2 Akuweerezenga obuyambi obuva mu kifo kye ekitukuvu; akudduukirirenga okuva ku lusozi Sayuuni.
Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;
3 Ajjukirenga ssaddaaka zo zonna z’omuwa, era asiimenga ebiweebwayo byo ebyokebwa.
Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; (Selah)
4 Akuwenga omutima gwo bye gwetaaga, era atuukirizenga by’oteekateeka byonna.
Grant thee thy heart’s desire, and fulfill all thy counsel.
5 Tulijaganya olw’obuwanguzi bwo, ne tuwuuba ebendera zaffe mu linnya lya Katonda waffe. Mukama akuwenga byonna by’omusaba.
We will triumph in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfill all thy petitions.
6 Kaakano ntegedde nga Mukama awanguza oyo gwe yafukako amafuta, amwanukula ng’amuwa obuwanguzi n’omukono gwe ogwa ddyo, ng’asinziira mu ggulu lye ettukuvu.
Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he wilt answer him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.
7 Abamu beesiga amagaali, n’abalala beesiga embalaasi, naye ffe twesiga erinnya lya Mukama Katonda waffe.
Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses: but we will make mention of the name of the LORD our God.
8 Batalantuka ne bagwa wansi ne balemerawo, naye ffe tugolokoka ne tuyimirira nga tuli banywevu.
They are bowed down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.
9 Ayi Mukama, lokola kabaka, otwanukule bwe tukukoowoola.
Save, LORD: let the King answer us when we call.
