< Zabbuli 147 >
1 Mutendereze Mukama! Kubanga kirungi okutenderezanga Katonda waffe; kubanga ajjudde ekisa, n’oluyimba olw’okumutenderezanga lumusaanira.
Hallelujah. It is good to sing praise to our God, for praise is sweet and seemly.
2 Mukama azimba Yerusaalemi; era akuŋŋaanya Abayisirayiri abaali mu buwaŋŋanguse.
The Lord builds up Jerusalem, the outcasts of Israel he gathers.
3 Azzaamu amaanyi abo abalina emitima egimenyese, era ajjanjaba ebiwundu byabwe.
He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
4 Mukama ategeka omuwendo gw’emmunyeenye; era buli emu n’agituuma erinnya.
He counts the numberless stars, he gives names to them all.
5 Mukama waffe mukulu era wa kitiibwa; amaanyi g’obuyinza bwe tegatendeka, n’okutegeera kwe tekuliiko kkomo.
Great is our Lord, rich in power, and measureless is his wisdom.
6 Mukama awanirira abawombeefu, naye abakola ebibi abasuulira ddala wansi.
The Lord lifts up the down-trodden, the wicked he brings to the ground.
7 Muyimbire Mukama ennyimba ez’okumwebaza; mumukubire entongooli ezivuga obulungi.
Sing songs of thanks to the Lord, and play on the lyre to our God.
8 Mukama abikka eggulu n’ebire, ensi agitonnyeseza enkuba, n’ameza omuddo ne gukula ku nsozi.
For he covers the sky with clouds, he prepares rain for the earth, makes grass to grow on the mountains.
9 Ente aziwa emmere, ne bannamuŋŋoona abato abakaaba abaliisa.
He gives the cattle their food the young ravens when they cry.
10 Essanyu lya Mukama teriri mu maanyi ga mbalaasi, wadde mu magulu g’omuntu,
His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, his joy is not in the speed of a runner;
11 wabula Mukama asanyukira abo abamussaamu ekitiibwa, era abalina essuubi mu kwagala kwe okutaggwaawo.
but the Lord has his pleasure in those who fear him, in those who wait for his kindness.
12 Tendereza Mukama ggwe Yerusaalemi, tendereza Katonda wo ggwe Sayuuni,
Praise the Lord, then, O Jerusalem: sing praise to your God, O Zion.
13 kubanga ebisiba enzigi zo, ye abinyweza, n’abantu bo abasulamu n’abawa omukisa.
For he strengthens the bars of your gates, and blesses your children within you.
14 Aleeta emirembe ku nsalo zo; n’akukkusa eŋŋaano esinga obulungi.
He brings peace to your borders, and choicest of wheat in abundance.
15 Aweereza ekiragiro kye ku nsi; ekigambo kye ne kibuna mangu.
He sends his command to the earth: his word runs very swiftly.
16 Ayaliira omuzira ku ttaka ne gutukula ng’ebyoya by’endiga enjeru, n’omusulo ogukutte n’agusaasaanya ng’evvu.
Snow he gives like wool, frost he scatters like ashes.
17 Omuzira agukanyuga ng’obuyinjayinja; bw’aleeta obutiti ani ayinza okubusobola?
He casts forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
18 Mukama aweereza ekigambo kye, omuzira ne gusaanuuka; n’akunsa empewo, amazzi ne gakulukuta.
He sends forth his word, and melts them: his wind blows the waters flow.
19 Yategeeza Yakobo ekigambo kye; Isirayiri n’amanya amateeka ga Mukama n’ebiragiro bye.
He declares his word to Jacob, his statutes and judgments to Israel.
20 Tewali ggwanga na limu lye yali akolaganye nalyo bw’atyo; amawanga amalala tegamanyi mateeka ge. Mutendereze Mukama!
No other nation did he do this for, they know nothing of his judgments. Hallelujah.
