< Zabbuli 144 >
1 Zabbuli ya Dawudi. Atenderezebwe Mukama, olwazi lwange, atendeka emikono gyange okulwana, era ateekerateekera engalo zange olutalo.
[A Psalm off] David. Blessed be the LORD my rock, which teacheth my hands to war, [and] my fingers to fight:
2 Mukama anjagala ye Katonda wange era kye kiddukiro kyange, ge maanyi gange amangi era ye mulokozi wange. Ye ngabo yange mwe neekweka. Awangula amawanga n’agassa wansi w’ebigere byange.
My lovingkindness, and my fortress, my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
3 Ayi Mukama, omuntu kye ki ggwe okumufaako, oba omwana w’omuntu, ggwe okumulowoozaako?
LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him? or the son of man, that thou makest account of him?
4 Omuntu ali nga mukka. Ennaku ze ziri ng’ekisiikirize ekiyita obuyisi.
Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.
5 Yawula mu ggulu lyo, Ayi Mukama, okke! Kwata ku nsozi zinyooke omukka!
Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.
6 Myansa abalabe basaasaane, era lasa obusaale bwo obazikirize.
Cast forth lightning, and scatter them; send out thine arrows, and discomfit them.
7 Ogolole omukono gwo ng’osinziira waggulu ennyo, omponye, onzigye mu mazzi amangi, era onzigye mu mikono gya bannamawanga;
Stretch forth thine hand from above; rescue me, and deliver me out of great waters, out of the hand of strangers;
8 ab’emimwa egyogera eby’obulimba, abalayira nti kya mazima, so nga bulimba bwereere.
Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
9 Ayi Mukama, nnaakuyimbiranga oluyimba oluggya; nnaakukubiranga ennanga ey’enkoba ekkumi,
I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.
10 ggwe awa bakabaka obuwanguzi; amponya, nze omuddu wo Dawudi, ekitala ekyogi.
It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who rescueth David his servant from the hurtful sword.
11 Ndokola, omponye onzigye mu mukono gwa bannamawanga bano ab’emimwa egyogera eby’obulimba, era omukono gwabwe ogwa ddyo gwa bulimba.
Rescue me, and deliver me out of the hand of strangers, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
12 Batabani baffe mu buvubuka bwabwe, Ayi Mukama, babeere ng’ebisimbe ebikulidde ddala obulungi, ne bawala baffe babe ng’empagi ennungi ez’oku nsonda okuzimbirwa ennyumba ya kabaka mu lubiri.
When our sons shall be as plants grown up in their youth; and our daughters as corner stones hewn after the fashion of a palace;
13 Amawanika gaffe gajjule ebibala ebya buli ngeri. Endiga zaffe zizaale enkumi n’obukumi zijjule amalundiro gaffe.
[When] our garners are full, affording all manner of store; [and] our sheep bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields;
14 Ente zaffe ziwalule ebizito. Ebisenge by’ekibuga bireme kumenyebwa. Waleme kubaawo kukaaba n’okwaziirana kwonna mu nguudo ez’omu bibuga byaffe.
[When] our oxen are well laden; [when there is] no breaking in, and no going forth, and no outcry in our streets;
15 Abantu abaweereddwa emikisa egyo beesiimye! Balina omukisa abantu abo abalina Katonda waabwe nga ye Mukama.
Happy is the people, that is in such a case: [yea], happy is the people, whose God is the LORD.
