1 Zabbuli Ya Dawudi. Wulira okusaba kwange, Ayi Mukama, wulira okwegayirira kwange! Ggwe omwesigwa era omutuukirivu jjangu ombeere.
A Melody of David. O Yahweh, hear my prayer, Give ear to my supplications, In thy faithfulness, answer me, in thy righteousness.
2 Tonsalira musango, kubanga mu maaso go tewali n’omu atuukiridde.
Do not then enter into judgment with thy servant, for no one living, can appear just before thee.
3 Omulabe wange angoba n’ankwata n’ansuula wansi; anteeka mu kizikiza ne nfaanana ng’abaafa edda.
For an enemy hath pursued my soul, hath crushed, to the earth, my life, hath made me dwell in dark places, like the ancient dead.
4 Noolwekyo omwoyo gwange guweddemu endasi, n’omutima gwange gwennyise.
Therefore hath my spirit, fainted concerning myself, Within me, hath, my heart, been confounded.
5 Nzijukira ennaku ez’edda, ne nfumiitiriza ku ebyo bye wakola byonna, ne ndowooza ku mirimu gy’emikono gyo.
I have remembered the days of aforetime, I have talked with myself of every deed of thine, Of the work of thy hands, I would speak:
6 Ngolola emikono gyange gy’oli, ne nkuyaayaanira ng’ettaka ekkalu bwe liyaayaanira enkuba.
I have spread out my hands unto thee, My soul, is as a thirsty land, for thee. (Selah)
7 Yanguwa okunziramu, Ayi Mukama, kubanga omwoyo gwange guggwaamu amaanyi. Tonkisa maaso go, nneme okufaanana ng’abafu.
Speedily answer me, O Yahweh, My spirit faileth, —Do not hide thy face from me, or I shall be made like unto them who go down into the pit.
8 Obudde nga bukedde, nsaba ondage okwagala kwo okutaggwaawo; kubanga ggwe gwe neesiga. Njigiriza ekkubo lye nsaana okutambuliramu, kubanga omwoyo gwange gwonna guli gy’oli.
Let me hear, in the morning, thy lovingkindness, for, in thee, have, I trusted, —Let me know the way in which I should walk, for, unto thee, have I uplifted my soul.
9 Mponya, Ayi Mukama, abalabe bange, kubanga ggwe kiddukiro kyange.
Rescue me from my foes, O Yahweh, Unto thee, have I come seeking refuge.
10 Njigiriza okukola by’oyagala, kubanga ggwe Katonda wange! Omwoyo wo omulungi ankulembere, antambulize mu kkubo eddungi ery’omuseetwe.
Teach me to do thy good pleasure, for, thou, art my God, —Thy spirit, is good, thou wilt set me down to rest in a level land.
11 Olw’erinnya lyo, Ayi Mukama, onkuume, mu butuukirivu bwo onzigye mu kabi.
For the sake of thy Name, O Yahweh, wilt thou give unto me life, In thy righteousness, wilt thou bring forth, out of distress, my soul;
12 Omalewo abalabe bange olw’okwagala kwo, ozikirize n’abanjigganya bonna, kubanga nze ndi muddu wo.
And, in thy lovingkindness, wilt thou exterminate my foes, —and destroy all the adversaries of my soul, because, I, am thy servant.
