1 Oluyimba nga balinnya amadaala. Ayi Mukama jjukira Dawudi n’okubonaabona kwe yagumiikiriza kwonna.
A song of degrees. Lord, remember Dauid with all his affliction.
2 Nga bwe yalayirira Mukama, ne yeeyama eri Katonda Ayinzabyonna, Katonda wa Yakobo,
Who sware vnto the Lord, and vowed vnto the mightie God of Iaakob, saying,
3 ng’agamba nti, “Siriyingira mu nnyumba yange, wadde okulinnya ku kitanda kyange.
I will not enter into the tabernacle of mine house, nor come vpon my pallet or bed,
4 Sirikkiriza tulo kunkwata newaakubadde okuzibiriza amaaso gange,
Nor suffer mine eyes to sleepe, nor mine eye lids to slumber,
5 okutuusa lwe ndimala okufunira Mukama ekifo; ekifo eky’okubeeramu ekya Katonda Ayinzabyonna, Katonda wa Yakobo.”
Vntill I finde out a place for the Lord, an habitation for the mightie God of Iaakob.
6 Laba, twakiwulirako mu Efulasa, ne tukizuula mu nnimiro ya Jaali.
Lo, we heard of it in Ephrathah, and found it in the fieldes of the forest.
7 Kale tugende mu kifo kye mw’abeera, tumusinzirize awali entebe y’ebigere bye.
We will enter into his Tabernacles, and worship before his footestoole.
8 Golokoka, Ayi Mukama, ogende mu kifo kyo mw’owummulira; ggwe n’Essanduuko yo ey’Endagaano, eraga obuyinza bwo.
Arise, O Lord, to come into thy rest, thou, and the Arke of thy strength.
9 Bakabona bo bambazibwe obutuukirivu, n’abatukuvu bo bayimbe n’essanyu.
Let thy Priests be clothed with righteousnesse, and let thy Saints reioyce.
10 Ku lulwe Dawudi omuddu wo, tomugaana oyo gwe wafukako amafuta.
For thy seruant Dauids sake refuse not the face of thine Anointed.
11 Mukama Katonda yalayirira Dawudi ekirayiro ekitaliggwaawo, era talikivaako. Kubanga yamugamba nti, “Omu ku batabani bo gwe ndituuza ku ntebe yo ey’obwakabaka.
The Lord hath sworne in trueth vnto Dauid, and he wil not shrinke from it, saying, Of the fruite of thy body will I set vpon thy throne.
12 Batabani bo bwe banaakuumanga Endagaano yange n’ebiragiro byange bye nnaabayigirizanga, ne batabani baabwe nabo banaatuulanga ku ntebe yo ey’obwakabaka emirembe gyonna.”
If thy sonnes keepe my couenant, and my testimonies, that I shall teach them, their sonnes also shall sit vpon thy throne for euer.
13 Kubanga Mukama yalonda Sayuuni, nga kye yasiima okutuulangamu, n’agamba nti:
For the Lord hath chosen Zion, and loued to dwell in it, saying,
14 “Kino kye kifo mwe nnaawummuliranga emirembe gyonna; omwo mwe nnaatuulanga nga ndi ku ntebe ey’obwakabaka kubanga nkisiimye.
This is my rest for euer: here will I dwell, for I haue a delite therein.
15 Nnaakiwanga omukisa ne nkiwa n’ebirungi, era n’abaavu baamu nnaabakkusanga ebyokulya.
I will surely blesse her vitailes, and will satisfie her poore with bread,
16 Bakabona baakyo, obulokozi bunaabanga kyambalo kyabwe; n’abatukuvu baakyo banaayimbanga ennyimba ez’essanyu n’essanyu.
And will clothe her Priests with saluation, and her Saints shall shoute for ioye.
17 “Eyo gye ndyaliza batabani ba Dawudi obuyinza; ne muteekerawo ettabaaza olw’oyo gwe nayiwako amafuta.
There will I make the horne of Dauid to bud: for I haue ordeined a light for mine Anoynted.
18 Abalabe be ndibajjuza ensonyi, naye ye ndimwambaza engule ey’ekitiibwa ekingi.”
His enemies will I clothe with shame, but on him his crowne shall florish.
