1 Oluyimba nga balinnya amadaala. Balina omukisa abatya Katonda; era abatambulira mu makubo ge.

A Song of Ascents. Blessed is every one that feareth Jehovah, That walketh in his ways.

2 Olirya ebibala ebiriva mu kutegana kwo; oliweebwa emikisa era olifuna ebirungi.

For thou shalt eat the labor of thy hands: Happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

3 Mu nnyumba yo, mukyala wo aliba ng’omuzabbibu ogubala ennyo; abaana bo aboobulenzi baliba ng’amatabi g’emizeeyituuni nga beetoolodde emmeeza yo.

Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine, In the innermost parts of thy house; Thy children like olive plants, Round about thy table.

4 Bw’atyo bw’aweebwa emikisa omuntu atya Mukama.

Behold, thus shall the man be blessed That feareth Jehovah.

5 Mukama akuwenga omukisa ng’asinziira mu Sayuuni, era olabe Yerusaalemi nga kijjudde ebirungi ennaku zonna ez’obulamu bwo.

Jehovah bless thee out of Zion: And see thou the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

6 Owangaale olabe abaana b’abaana bo! Emirembe gibeere mu Isirayiri.

Yea, see thou thy children’s children. Peace be upon Israel.
