< Zabbuli 122 >

1 Oluyimba nga balinnya amadaala. Lwa Dawudi. Nasanyuka bwe baŋŋamba nti, “Tugende mu nnyumba ya Mukama!”
A song for pilgrims going up to Jerusalem. A psalm of David. I was so happy when they said to me, “Let's go the house of the Lord.”
2 Ebigere byaffe biyimiridde mu miryango gyo, Ayi Yerusaalemi.
Now we're standing inside your gates, Jerusalem!
3 Yerusaalemi yazimbibwa okuba ekibuga ekinywevu ekiyimiridde awamu.
Jerusalem is built as a city where people can be together.
4 Eyo ebika byonna gye biraga, ebika bya Mukama, okutendereza erinnya lya Mukama ng’ebiragiro ebyaweebwa Isirayiri bwe biri.
All the tribes—the tribes of the Lord—go up there, following the command given to Israel to give thanks to the Lord.
5 Eyo entebe ez’okusalirako emisango gye zaateekebwa; z’entebe ez’obwakabaka ez’ennyumba ya Dawudi.
This is where the thrones are placed, where judgment is given, the thrones of the house of David.
6 Musabirenga Yerusaalemi emirembe: “Abo abakwagala bafune ebirungi.
Pray that Jerusalem may be at peace. May everyone who loves Jerusalem be kept safe.
7 Emirembe gibeerenga munda w’ebisenge byo; n’amayumba go amanene gabeerenga n’omukisa era nga manywevu.”
May there be peace within your walls, and safety within your fortresses.
8 Olwa baganda bange ne mikwano gyange nnaayogeranga nti, “Emirembe gibeerenga mu ggwe.”
On behalf of my family and friends, I will now say, “May you be at peace.”
9 Olw’obulungi bw’ennyumba ya Mukama Katonda waffe, nnaanoonyanga okukulaakulana kwa Yerusaalemi.
On behalf of the house of the Lord our God, I pray that everything goes well for you.
