1 Oluyimba nga balinnya amadaala. Nnyimusa amaaso gange eri ensozi, okubeerwa kwange kuva wa?
I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from?
2 Okubeerwa kwange kuva eri Mukama, eyakola eggulu n’ensi.
My help comes from Adonai, who made heaven and earth.
3 Taliganya kigere kyo kusagaasagana; oyo akukuuma taabongootenga.
He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Laba, oyo akuuma Isirayiri taabongootenga so teyeebakenga.
Behold, he who keeps Israel [God prevails] will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 Mukama ye mukuumi wo; Mukama y’akusiikiriza ku mukono gwo ogwa ddyo;
Adonai is your keeper. Adonai is your shade on your right hand.

The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 Mukama anaakukuumanga mu buli kabi; anaalabiriranga obulamu bwo.
Adonai will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul.
8 Mukama anaakukumanga amagenda go n’amadda, okuva leero n’okutuusa emirembe gyonna.
Adonai will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more.
