< Zabbuli 118 >

1 Mwebaze Mukama, kubanga mulungi; okwagala kwe kubeerera emirembe gyonna.
Give thanks to the Lord for his goodness, his kindness endures forever.
2 Kale Isirayiri ayogere nti, “Okwagala kwa Mukama kubeerera emirembe gyonna.”
Let the house of Israel now say: his kindness endures forever.
3 N’ab’ennyumba ya Alooni boogere nti, “Okwagala kwe kubeerera emirembe gyonna.”
Let the house of Aaron now say: his kindness endures forever.
4 Abo abatya Mukama boogere nti, “Okwagala kwe kubeerera emirembe gyonna.”
Let those who fear the Lord now say: his kindness endures forever.
5 Bwe nnali mu nnaku empitirivu, nakoowoola Mukama, n’annyanukula, n’agimponya.
Out of straits I called on the Lord, the Lord answered and gave me room.
6 Mukama ali ku ludda lwange, siriiko kye ntya. Abantu bayinza kunkolako ki?
The Lord is mine; I am fearless. What can mere people do to me?
7 Mukama ali nange, ye anyamba. Abalabe bange nnaabatunuuliranga n’amaaso ag’obuwanguzi.
The Lord is mine, as my help: I shall feast my eyes on my foes.
8 Kirungi okwesiga Mukama okusinga okwesiga omuntu.
It is better to hide in the Lord than to trust in mortals.
9 Kirungi okuddukira eri Mukama okusinga okwesiga abalangira.
It is better to hide in the Lord than to put any trust in princes.
10 Ensi zonna zanzinda ne zinneebungulula, naye mu linnya lya Mukama naziwangula.
Everywhere heathen swarmed round me; in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
11 Banneebungulula enjuuyi zonna; naye mu linnya lya Mukama nabawangula.
They swarmed, swarmed around me; in the name of the Lord I cut them down,
12 Bankuŋŋaanirako ne banneebungulula ng’enjuki; naye ne basirikka ng’amaggwa agakutte omuliro; mu linnya lya Mukama nabawangula.
they swarmed around me like bees, they blazed like a fire of thorns: in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
13 Bannumba n’amaanyi mangi, ne mbulako katono okugwa; naye Mukama n’annyamba.
Sore they pushed me, to make me fall; but the Lord gave me his help.
14 Mukama ge maanyi gange, era lwe luyimba lwange, afuuse obulokozi bwange.
The Lord is my strength and my song, and he is become my salvation.
15 Muwulire ennyimba ez’essanyu ez’obuwanguzi, nga ziyimbirwa mu weema z’abatuukirivu nti, “Omukono gwa Mukama ogwa ddyo gutukoledde ebikulu!
Hark! In the tents of the righteous glad cries of victory are ringing. The hand of the Lord has wrought bravely,
16 Omukono gwa Mukama ogwa ddyo gugulumizibbwa; omukono gwa Mukama ogwa ddyo gutukoledde ebikulu!”
the hand of the Lord is exalted, the hand of the Lord has wrought bravely.
17 Sijja kufa, wabula nzija kuba mulamu, ndyoke ntegeeze ebyo byonna Mukama by’akoze.
I shall not die: nay, I shall live, to declare the works of the Lord.
18 Mukama ambonerezza nnyo, naye tandese kufa.
Though the Lord has chastened me sore, he has not given me over to death. (The Procession arrives at the Temple)
19 Munzigulirewo emiryango egy’obutuukirivu, nnyingire, neebaze Mukama.
‘Open to me the gates of victory. I would enter therein and give thanks to the Lord.’ (The Welcome)
20 Guno gwe mulyango omunene ogwa Mukama, abatuukirivu mmwe banaayingiriranga.
‘This is the gate of the Lord: the righteous may enter therein;’
21 Nkwebaza kubanga onnyanukudde n’ofuuka obulokozi bwange.
I thank you because you have heard me, and are become my salvation.
22 Ejjinja abazimbi lye baagaana lye lifuuse ejjinja ekkulu ery’oku nsonda.
The stone which the builders despised is become the head-stone of the corner.
23 Kino Mukama ye yakikola; era ffe tukiraba nga kya kitalo mu maaso gaffe.
This has been wrought by the Lord; it is marvellous in our eyes.
24 Luno lwe lunaku Mukama lw’akoze; tusanyuke tulujagulizeeko.
This day is the Lord’s own creation: in it let us joy and be glad.
25 Ayi Mukama tukwegayiridde, tulokole, Ayi Mukama tukwegayiridde otuwe obuwanguzi.
O Lord, save us, we pray, O Lord, prosper, we pray.
26 Alina omukisa oyo ajja mu linnya lya Mukama. Tubasabidde omukisa nga tuli mu nnyumba ya Mukama.
Blessed the one who enters in the name of the Lord. From the house of the Lord we bless you.
27 Mukama ye Katonda, y’atwakiza omusana. Mukumbire wamu nga mukutte amatabi mu ngalo zammwe n’ekiweebwayo kyammwe kituukire ddala ku mayembe g’ekyoto.
The Lord is God, he has given us light. Wreathe the dance with boughs, till they touch the horns of the altar.
28 Ggwe Katonda wange, nnaakwebazanga; ggwe Katonda wange, nange nnaakugulumizanga.
You are my God, I will thank you; O my God, I will exalt you.
29 Mwebaze Mukama kubanga mulungi, n’okwagala kwe kubeerera emirembe gyonna.
Give thanks to the Lord for his goodness: his kindness endures forever.
