1 Si ffe, Ayi Mukama, si ffe. Wabula erinnya lyo lye ligwana okuweebwanga ekitiibwa, olw’okwagala kwo n’olw’obwesigwa bwo.
Not to us, YHWH, not to us, but to your name be the glory, for your loving kindness and for your faithfulness.
2 Lwaki amawanga gabuuza nti, “Katonda waabwe ali ludda wa?”
Why should the nations say, "Where is their God, now?"
3 Katonda waffe ali mu ggulu; akola buli ky’ayagala.
But our God is in the heavens. He does whatever he pleases.
4 Bakatonda baabwe bakole mu ffeeza ne zaabu, ebikolebwa n’emikono gy’abantu.
Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
5 Birina emimwa, naye tebyogera; birina amaaso, naye tebiraba.
They have mouths, but they do not speak. They have eyes, but they do not see.
6 Birina amatu, naye tebiwulira; birina ennyindo, naye tebiwunyiriza.
They have ears, but they do not hear. They have noses, but they do not smell.
7 Birina engalo, naye tebikwata; birina ebigere, naye tebitambula; ne mu bulago bwabyo temuvaamu ddoboozi n’akamu,
They have hands, but they do not feel. They have feet, but they do not walk, neither do they speak through their throat.
8 abakozi ababikola, n’abo bonna ababyesiga balibifaanana.
Those who make them will be like them; yes, everyone who trusts in them.
9 Mmwe ennyumba ya Isirayiri mwesigenga Mukama, ye mubeezi wammwe era ye ngabo yammwe.
Israel, trust in YHWH. He is their help and their shield.
10 Mmwe ennyumba ya Alooni mwesigenga Mukama, ye mubeezi wammwe era ye ngabo yammwe.
House of Aaron, trust in YHWH. He is their help and their shield.
11 Mmwe abamutya, mwesigenga Mukama, ye mubeezi wammwe, era ye ngabo yammwe.
You who fear YHWH, trust in YHWH. He is their help and their shield.
12 Mukama anaatujjukiranga, era anaatuwanga omukisa. Ab’ennyumba ya Isirayiri anaabawanga omukisa; ab’omu nnyumba ya Alooni anaabawanga omukisa;
YHWH remembers us. He will bless us. He will bless the house of Israel. He will bless the house of Aaron.
13 n’abo abamutya, ab’ekitiibwa n’abatali ba kitiibwa, Mukama anaabawanga omukisa.
He will bless those who fear YHWH, both small and great.
14 Mukama abaaze mweyongere nnyo obungi, mmwe n’abaana bammwe.
May YHWH increase you more and more, you and your children.
15 Mukama, eyakola eggulu n’ensi, abawe omukisa.
Blessed are you by YHWH, who made heaven and earth.
16 Eggulu ery’oku ntikko lya Mukama, naye ensi yagiwa abantu bonna.
The heavens are the heavens of YHWH; but the earth has he given to the descendants of Adam.
17 Abafu tebatendereza Mukama, wadde abo abaserengeta emagombe.
The dead do not praise JAH, neither any who go down into silence;
18 Naye ffe tunaatenderezanga Mukama, okuva leero n’okutuusa emirembe gyonna. Mutendereze Mukama!
But we will bless JAH, from this time forth and forevermore. Praise JAH.
