1 Mutendereze Mukama! Mumutendereze, mmwe abaweereza be, mutendereze erinnya lya Mukama.
Alleluia. Praise the Lord, you servants [of his], praise, the name of the Lord.
2 Erinnya lya Mukama litenderezebwe okuva leero n’okutuusa emirembe gyonna.
Let the name of the Lord be blessed, from this present time and for ever.
3 Enjuba weeviirayo okutuusa bw’egwa, erinnya lya Mukama litenderezebwenga.
From the rising of the sun to his setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised.
4 Mukama agulumizibwa okusinga amawanga gonna, era n’ekitiibwa kye kisinga eggulu.
The Lord is high above all the nations; his glory is above the heavens.
5 Ani afaanana nga Mukama Katonda waffe, atuula ku ntebe ye ey’obwakabaka eri waggulu ennyo,
Who is as the Lord our God? who dwells in the high places,
6 ne yeetoowaza okutunuulira eggulu n’ensi?
and [yet] looks upon the low things in heaven, and on the earth:
7 Abaavu abayimusa n’abaggya mu nfuufu; n’abali mu kwetaaga n’abasitula ng’abaggya mu vvu,
who lifts up the poor from the earth, and raises up the needy from the dunghill;
8 n’abatuuza wamu n’abalangira, awamu n’abalangira abo abafuga abantu be.
to set him with princes, [even] with the princes of his people:
9 Omukazi omugumba amuwa abaana, n’abeera mu maka ge n’ezzadde lye ng’ajjudde essanyu. Mutendereze Mukama!
who settles the barren [woman] in a house, [as] a mother rejoicing over children.
