< Zabbuli 109 >
1 Ya Makulu wa Bayimbi. Zabbuli ya Dawudi. Ayi Katonda wange gwe ntendereza, tonsiriikirira.
For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. God of my praise, don’t remain silent,
2 Kubanga abantu abakola ebibi era abalimba, banjogeddeko eby’obulimba.
for they have opened the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me. They have spoken to me with a lying tongue.
3 Banfukumulidde ebigambo eby’obukyayi, ne bannumbagana awatali nsonga.
They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.
4 Bwe mbalaga omukwano, bo bandaga bukyayi; kyokka nze mbasabira.
In return for my love, they are my adversaries; but I am in prayer.
5 Bwe mbakolera ebirungi bo bansasulamu bibi; bwe mbalaga okwagala bo bankyawa bukyayi.
They have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
6 Mumulabire omuntu omukozi w’ebibi amwolekere; wabeewo amuwawaabira.
Set a wicked man over him. Let an adversary stand at his right hand.
7 Bwe banaawoza, omusango gumusinge; n’okusaba kwe kufuuke kwonoona.
When he is judged, let him come out guilty. Let his prayer be turned into sin.
8 Aleme kuwangaala; omuntu omulala amusikire.
Let his days be few. Let another take his office.
9 Abaana be basigalire awo nga tebaliiko kitaabwe, ne mukyala we afuuke nnamwandu.
Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
10 Abaana be bataataaganenga nga bagenda basabiriza; bagobebwe ne mu bifulukwa mwe basula.
Let his children be wandering beggars. Let them be sought from their ruins.
11 Amubanja ajje awambe ebibye byonna; n’abagwira bamunyageko ebintu bye byonna bye yakolerera.
Let the creditor seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor.
12 Waleme kubaawo amusaasira, wadde akolera abaana be ebyekisa.
Let there be no one to extend kindness to him, neither let there be anyone to have pity on his fatherless children.
13 Ezzadde lye lizikirizibwe, n’amannya g’abazzukulu be gasangulwe mu ago ag’omu mulembe oguliddirira.
Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.
14 Mukama ajjukirenga ebyonoono bya bakadde be; n’ekibi kya nnyina kireme kwerabirwanga.
Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by the LORD. Don’t let the sin of his mother be blotted out.
15 Mukama ajjukirenga ebyonoono byabwe bulijjo, n’ensi ebeerabirire ddala.
Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off their memory from the earth;
16 Kubanga talowoozangako kukolera muntu yenna kya kisa; naye yayigganyanga abaavu, n’abeetaaga, n’abanakuwavu n’abatuusa ne ku kufa.
because he didn’t remember to show kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, the broken in heart, to kill them.
17 Yayagalanga nnyo okukolima; kale ebikolimo bimwefuulire. Teyayagalanga mikisa; kale gimwesambire ddala!
Yes, he loved cursing, and it came to him. He didn’t delight in blessing, and it was far from him.
18 Yeeteekako okukolima ng’ekyambalo, ne kumutobya ng’amazzi, ne kuyingira mu magumba ge ng’amafuta.
He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment. It came into his inward parts like water, like oil into his bones.
19 Kubeerenga ng’ekyambalo ky’ayambadde, era ng’olukoba lwe yeesibye emirembe gyonna.
Let it be to him as the clothing with which he covers himself, for the belt that is always around him.
20 Ebyo byonna y’eba ebeera empeera, Mukama gy’awa abo abandoopaloopa, era abanjogerako eby’akabi ebyereere.
This is the reward of my adversaries from the LORD, of those who speak evil against my soul.
21 Naye ggwe, Ayi Mukama Katonda wange, nnwanirira olw’erinnya lyo; era omponye olw’okwagala kwo okulungi okutaggwaawo.
But deal with me, GOD the Lord, for your name’s sake, because your loving kindness is good, deliver me;
22 Kubanga ndi mwavu era ali mu kwetaaga, n’omutima gwange gunyolwa nnyo.
for I am poor and needy. My heart is wounded within me.
23 Sikyaliwo, ndi ng’ekisiikirize eky’akawungeezi; mmansuddwa eri ng’enzige.
I fade away like an evening shadow. I am shaken off like a locust.
24 Amaviivi gange ganafuye olw’okusiiba; omubiri gwange gukozze ne guggwaamu ensa.
My knees are weak through fasting. My body is thin and lacks fat.
25 Abandoopaloopa bansekerera; bwe bandaba nga banyeenyeza omutwe.
I have also become a reproach to them. When they see me, they shake their head.
26 Mbeera, Ayi Mukama Katonda wange! Ondokole ng’okwagala kwo okutaggwaawo bwe kuli.
Help me, LORD, my God. Save me according to your loving kindness;
27 Baleke bategeere nti ggwe okikoze, n’omukono gwo Ayi Mukama.
that they may know that this is your hand; that you, LORD, have done it.
28 Balikoma, naye ggwe olimpa omukisa! Leka abannumbagana baswale, naye nze omuddu wo nga nsanyuka!
They may curse, but you bless. When they arise, they will be shamed, but your servant shall rejoice.
29 Abandoopa baswazibwe, n’ensonyi zaabwe zibabuzeeko obwekyusizo.
Let my adversaries be clothed with dishonor. Let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.
30 Nneebazanga Mukama n’akamwa kange; nnaamutenderezanga wakati mu kibiina ekinene.
I will give great thanks to the LORD with my mouth. Yes, I will praise him among the multitude.
31 Kubanga alwanirira omunaku ali mu kwetaaga, n’amuwonya abo abaagala afe.
For he will stand at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those who judge his soul.
