< Zabbuli 105 >

1 Mwebaze Mukama, mukoowoole erinnya lye; amawanga gonna mugategeeze by’akoze.
O give thanks unto the Lord; call on his name: make known among the people his deeds.
2 Mumuyimbire, mumutendereze; muyimbe ku byamagero bye.
Sing unto, him, sing praises unto him: speak of all his wonderful works.
3 Mumusuute, ng’erinnya lye ettukuvu muligulumiza; emitima gy’abo abanoonya Mukama gijjule essanyu.
Glorify yourselves in his holy name: let the heart of those rejoice that seek the Lord.
4 Munoonye Mukama n’amaanyi ge; mumunoonyenga ennaku zonna.
Inquire after the Lord and his strength: seek his presence evermore.
5 Mujjukirenga eby’ekitalo bye yakola, ebyamagero bye, n’emisango gye yasala;
Remember his wonderful works which he hath done; his tokens, and the decrees of his mouth;
6 mmwe abazzukulu ba Ibulayimu, abaweereza be mmwe abaana ba Yakobo, abalonde be.
O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob, his elect.
7 Ye Mukama Katonda waffe; ye alamula mu nsi yonna.
He is the Lord our God: over all the earth are his decrees.
8 Ajjukira endagaano ye emirembe gyonna, kye kigambo kye yalagira, ekyakamala emirembe olukumi,
He remembereth his covenant for ever, the word which he hath commanded, to the thousandth generation.
9 ye ndagaano gye yakola ne Ibulayimu, era kye kisuubizo kye yalayirira Isaaka.
Which he covenanted with Abraham; and his oath unto Isaac;
10 Yakikakasa Yakobo ng’etteeka, n’akiwa Isirayiri ng’endagaano eteriggwaawo nti,
And which he established unto Jacob as a statute, unto Israel as an everlasting covenant:
11 “Ndikuwa ggwe ensi ya Kanani okuba omugabo gwo.”
Saying, “Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, as the portion of your inheritance.”
12 Bwe baali bakyali batono, nga si bangi n’akamu, era nga bagwira mu nsi omwo,
When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it;
13 baatambulatambulanga okuva mu ggwanga erimu okulaga mu ddala, ne bavanga mu bwakabaka obumu ne balaga mu bulala.
And when they wandered from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people:
14 Teyaganya muntu yenna kubayisa bubi; n’alabulanga bakabaka ku lwabwe nti,
He suffered no man to oppress them; yea, he reproved kings for their sake;
15 “Abalonde bange, ne bannabbi bange temubakolangako kabi.”
[Saying, ] “Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm,”—
16 Yaleeta enjala mu nsi, emmere yaabwe yonna n’agizikiriza.
And he called for a famine over the land; every staff of bread he broke.
17 N’atuma omuntu okubeesooka mu maaso, ye Yusufu eyatundibwa ng’omuddu,
He sent a man before them; for a servant was Joseph sold;
18 ebigere bye ne binuubulwa enjegere ze baamusibya, obulago bwe ne buteekebwa mu byuma,
They forced into fetters his feet; in iron was his body put:
19 okutuusa bye yategeeza lwe byatuukirira, okutuusa ekigambo kya Mukama lwe kyamukakasa nti bye yayogera bya mazima.
Until the time that his word came to pass, [when] the saying of the Lord had purified him.
20 Kabaka n’atuma ne bamusumulula; omufuzi w’ensi eyo yamuggya mu kkomera.
The king sent and unfettered him; the ruler of people, and let him go free.
21 Yamufuula omukulu w’eby’omu maka ge, n’akulira byonna omufuzi oyo bye yalina;
He appointed him lord of his house, and ruler of all his possession:
22 okukangavvulanga abalangira be nga bwe yalabanga, n’okuyigiriza abakulu eby’amagezi.
That he might bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his ancients wisdom.
23 Oluvannyuma Isirayiri n’ajja mu Misiri; Yakobo bw’atyo n’atuula mu nsi ya Kaamu nga munnaggwanga.
Then came Israel into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24 Mukama n’ayaza nnyo abantu be; ne baba bangi nnyo, n’abalabe baabwe ne beeraliikirira,
And he increased his people greatly, and made them stronger than their adversaries.
25 n’akyusa emitima gyabwe ne bakyawa abantu be, ne basalira abaweereza be enkwe.
He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilely with his servants.
26 Yatuma abaweereza be Musa ne Alooni, be yalonda.
He sent Moses his servant, Aaron also whom he had made choice of.
27 Ne bakola obubonero bwe obw’ekitalo mu bantu abo; ne bakolera ebyamagero bye mu nsi ya Kaamu.
They displayed among them his effective signs, and wonders in the land of Ham.
28 Yaleeta ekizikiza ensi yonna n’ekwata, kubanga baali bajeemedde ekigambo kye.
He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
29 Amazzi gaabwe yagafuula omusaayi, ne kireetera ebyennyanja byabwe okufa.
He changed their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
30 Ensi yaabwe yajjula ebikere, ebyatuukira ddala ne mu bisenge by’abafuzi baabwe.
Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the very chambers of their kings.
31 Yalagira, ebiwuka ebya buli ngeri ne bijja, n’ensekere ne zeeyiwa mu bitundu byonna eby’ensi yaabwe.
He spoke, and there came various wild beasts, lice also within all their boundary.
32 Yafuula enkuba okuba amayinja g’omuzira; eggulu ne libwatuka mu nsi yaabwe yonna.
He gave them as their rain hail, and flames of fire in their land.
33 Yakuba emizeeyituuni n’emizabbibu, n’azikiriza emiti gy’omu nsi yaabwe.
And he smote their vines and their fig-trees, and broke the trees within their boundary.
34 Yalagira, enzige ne zijja ne bulusejjera obutabalika muwendo.
He spoke, and the locusts came, and crickets, and that without number;
35 Ne birya buli kimera kyonna mu nsi yaabwe, na buli kisimbe kyonna mu ttaka lyabwe ne kiriibwa.
And they ate up all the herbs in their land, and ate up the fruit of their ground.
36 N’azikiriza abaana ababereberye bonna mu nsi yaabwe, nga bye bibala ebisooka eby’obuvubuka bwabwe.
And he smote all the first-born in their land, the first of all their strength.
37 Yaggya Abayisirayiri mu nsi eyo nga balina ffeeza nnyingi ne zaabu; era bonna baali ba maanyi.
And he brought them forth with silver and gold: and there was not one that stumbled among his tribes.
38 Abamisiri baasanyuka bwe baalaba Abayisirayiri nga bagenze, kubanga baali batandise okubatiira ddala.
Egypt rejoiced when they departed; for the dread of them was fallen upon them.
39 Yayanjuluzanga ekire ne kibabikka, n’omuliro ne gubamulisiza ekiro.
He spread out a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night.
40 Baamusaba, n’abaweereza enkwale era n’abaliisanga emmere eva mu ggulu ne bakkuta.
The people asked, and he brought quails, and with heavenly bread he satisfied them.
41 Yayasa olwazi, amazzi ne gatiiriika, ne gakulukuta mu ddungu ng’omugga.
He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out: they ran in the dry places like a river.
42 Kubanga yajjukira ekisuubizo kye ekitukuvu kye yawa omuweereza we Ibulayimu.
For he remembered his holy word given to Abraham his servant.
43 Abantu be yabaggyayo nga bajaguza, abalonde be nga bayimba olw’essanyu.
And he brought forth his people with gladness, with joyful song his elect.
44 Yabawa ensi eyali ey’amawanga amalala, ne basikira ebyo abalala bye baakolerera;
And he gave them the lands of nations; and the labor of people they obtained as an inheritance:
45 balyoke bakwatenga amateeka ge, era bagonderenga ebiragiro bye. Mumutendereze Mukama.
So that they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Hallelujah.
