1 Zabbuli ey’okwebaza. Muleetere Mukama eddoboozi ery’essanyu mmwe ensi zonna.

Everyone in the world should shout joyfully to Yahweh!

2 Muweereze Mukama n’essanyu; mujje mu maaso ge n’ennyimba ez’essanyu.

We should worship Yahweh gladly! We should come before him singing joyful songs.

3 Mumanye nga Mukama ye Katonda; ye yatutonda, tuli babe, tuli bantu be era endiga ez’omu ddundiro lye.

We should acknowledge/recognize that Yahweh is God; it is he who made us, [so] we belong to him. We are the people that he takes care of [MET]; we are [like] sheep that are cared for by their shepherd.

4 Muyingire mu miryango gye nga mwebaza, ne mu mpya ze n’okutendereza; mumwebaze mutendereze erinnya lye.

Enter the gates [of his temple] thanking him; enter the courtyard [of the temple] singing songs to praise him! Thank him and praise him,

5 Kubanga Mukama mulungi, n’okwagala kwe kwa lubeerera; n’obwesigwa bwe bwa mirembe gyonna.

because Yahweh always [does] good [things for us]. He faithfully loves us, and (is faithful/is loyal to us forever/will never forsake us).
