1 Bano be bakabona n’Abaleevi abaakomawo ne Zerubbaberi mutabani wa Seyalutyeri ne Yesuwa: Seraya, ne Yeremiya, ne Ezera,
And these are the priests and the Levites that came up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealthiel, and Jeshua': Serayah, Jeremiah, 'Ezra,
2 ne Amaliya, ne Malluki, ne Kattusi,
Amaryah, Malluch, Chattush,
3 ne Sekaniya, ne Lekumu, ne Meremoosi,
Shechanyah, Rechum, Meremoth,
4 ne Iddo, ne Ginnesoyi, ne Abiya,
'Iddo, Ginnethoy, Abiyah,
5 ne Miyamini, ne Maadiya, ne Biruga,
Miyamin, Ma'adyah, Bilgah,
6 ne Semaaya, ne Yoyalibu, ne Yedaya,
Shema'yah, and Joyarib, Jed'ayah,
7 ne Sallu, ne Amoki, ne Kirukiya ne Yedaya. Abo be baali abakulembeze ba bakabona ne baganda baabwe mu biro bya Yesuwa.
Sallu, 'Amok, Chilkiyah, Jed'ayah. These were the chiefs of the priests and of their brethren in the days of Jeshua'.
8 Abaleevi baali: Yesuwa, ne Binnuyi, ne Kadumyeri, ne Serebiya, ne Yuda ne Mattaniya awamu ne baganda be, abaakulemberanga ennyimba ez’okwebaza mu kusinza.
And the Levites: Jeshua', Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebyah, Judah, and Matthaniah, who was over the songs of thanksgiving, he and his brethren;
9 Bakubukiya ne Unni ne baganda baabwe bo, baayimiriranga nga baboolekedde mu biseera eby’okusinza.
And Bakbukyah and 'Unni, their brethren, were opposite to them in the watches.
10 Yesuwa yali kitaawe wa Yoyakimu, ate Yoyakimu nga ye kitaawe wa Eriyasibu, ne Eriyasibu nga ye kitaawe wa Yoyaada,
And Jeshua' begat Joyakim, and Joyakim begat Elyashib, and Elyashib begat Joyada'.
11 Yoyaada nga ye kitaawe wa Yonasaani, ate Yonasaani nga ye kitaawe wa Yadduwa.
And Joyada' begat Jonathan, and Jonathan begat Jaddua'.
12 Mu biro bya Yoyakimu, bano be baali abakulu b’ennyumba za bakabona: eya Seraya, yali Meraya; eya Yeremiya, yali Kananiya;
And in the days of Joyakim were priests, as chiefs of the divisions: Of Serayah, Merayah; of Jeremiah, Chananyah;
13 eya Ezera, yali Mesullamu, eya Amaliya, yali Yekokanani;
Of 'Ezra, Meshullam; of Amaryah, Jehochanan;
14 eya Malluki, yali Yonasaani; eya Sebaniya, yali Yusufu;
Of Mellchu, Jonathan; of Shebanyah, Joseph;
15 eya Kalimu, yali Aduna; eya Merayoosi, yali Kerukayi;
Of Charim, 'Adna; of Merayoth, Chelkai;
16 eya Iddo, yali Zekkaliya; eya Ginnesoni, yali Mesullamu;
Of 'Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;
17 eya Abiya, yali Zikuli; eya Miniyamini ne Mowadiya, yali Pirutayi;
Of Abiyah, Zichri; of Minyamin, of Mo'adyah, Piltai;
18 eya Biruga, yali Sammuwa; eya Semaaya, yali Yekonasaani;
Of Bilgah, Shammua'; of Shem'ayah, Jehonathan;
19 eya Yoyalibu, yali Mattenayi; eya Yedaya, yali Uzzi;
And of Joyarib, Matthenai; of Jeda'yah, 'Uzzi;
20 eya Sallayi, yali Kallayi; eya Amoki, yali Eberi;
Of Sallai, Kallai; of 'Amok, 'Eber;
21 eya Kirukiya, yali Kasabiya; n’eya Yedaya, yali Nesaneeri.
Of Chilkiyah, Chashabyah; of Jeda'yah, Nethanel.
22 Abakulu b’ennyumba z’Abaleevi abaakola mu biro bya Eriyasibu, ne Yoyada, ne Yokanaani ne Yadduwa, awamu ne bakabona, baawandiikibwa mu mirembe gya Daliyo Omuperusi.
Of the Levites in the days of Elyashib, Yoyada', and Yochanan, and Jaddua', are written down the chiefs of the divisions: also those of the priests to the reign of Darius the Persian.
23 Abakulu b’enju abaava mu bazzukulu ba Leevi okutuuka ku mulembe gwa Yokanaani mutabani wa Eriyasibu, ne bawandiikibwa mu bitabo eby’ebyafaayo.
The sons of Levi, the chiefs of the divisions were written down in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Jochanan the son of Elyashib.
24 Abakulembeze b’Abaleevi baali: Kasabiya, ne Serebiya, ne Yesuwa mutabani wa Kadumyeri, n’abaabayambangako nga baboolekedde, nga batendereza era nga beebaza, ng’ekibinja ekimu kiddamu ekirala kye biyimba, nga Dawudi omusajja wa Katonda bwe yalagira.
And the chiefs of the Levites were: Chashabyah, Sherebyah, and Jeshua' the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren opposite to them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the command of David the man of God, section by section.
25 Mattaniya, ne Bakubukiya, ne Obadiya, ne Mesullamu, ne Talumoni, ne Akkubu be baakuumanga amawanika g’oku miryango.
Matthanyah, and Bakbukyah, 'Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, 'Akkub, were watching gatekeepers on the watch at the thresholds of the gates.
26 Baaweerereza mu biro bya Yoyakimu mutabani wa Yesuwa, mutabani wa Yozadaki, ne mu biro bya Nekkemiya owessaza, ne Ezera kabona era omuwandiisi.
These were in the days of Joyakim, the son of Jeshua', the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of 'Ezra the priest, the expounder.
27 Awo okutukuza kwa bbugwe wa Yerusaalemi bwe kwatuuka, ne banoonya Abaleevi okuva gye baabeeranga, ne baleetebwa e Yerusaalemi okujaguza nga bwe bayimba n’okukuba ebitaasa n’entongooli n’ennanga.
And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to celebrate the dedication with joy, with thanksgivings, and with singing, cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.
28 Abayimbi nabo ne bajja okuva mu bitundu ebyetoolodde Yerusaalemi, nga bava mu byalo by’Abanetofa,
And there gathered themselves together the sons of the singers, both out of the district round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophah;
29 n’okuva mu Besugirugaali, n’okuva mu bitundu by’e Geba n’e Azumavesi; abayimbi baali beefunidde ebyalo okwetooloola Yerusaalemi.
Also from Beth-hagilgal, and out of the fields of Geba' and Azmaveth; for the singers had built themselves villages round about Jerusalem.
30 Bakabona n’Abaleevi bwe baamala okwetukuza olw’emikolo egyo, ne balyoka batukuza abantu, n’emiryango ne bbugwe.
And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and then they purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.
31 Ne ndyoka ntwala abakulembeze ba Yuda waggulu ku bbugwe, ne ndagira n’ebibinja bibiri eby’abayimbi okwebaza. Ekimu kyalaga waggulu wa bbugwe ku mukono ogwa ddyo, n’ekirala ne kiraga ku Mulyango gw’Obusa.
Then brought I up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and stationed two great companies for thanksgiving, and trains to walk on the right hand upon the wall by the dung-gate;
32 Kosaaya ne kimu kyakubiri eky’abakulembeze ba Yuda ne babagoberera,
And after them walked Hosha'yah, and half of the princes of Judah,
33 nga bali wamu ne Azaliya, ne Ezera, ne Mesullamu,
And 'Azaryah, 'Ezra, and Meshullam,
34 ne Yuda, ne Benyamini, ne Semaaya, ne Yeremiya,
Judah, and Benjamin, and Shema'yah, and Jeremiah;
35 ne bakabona abamu nga bakutte amakondeere, ne Zekkaliya mutabani wa Yonasaani, muzzukulu wa Semaaya, muzzukulu wa Mikaaya, muzzukulu wa Zakkuli, muzzukulu wa Asafu;
And of the sons of priests' with trumpets, Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shema'yah, the son of Matthanyah, the son of Michayah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Assaph;
36 ne banne abaamuyambangako nga be bano: Semaaya, ne Azuleeri, ne Miralayi, ne Giralayi, ne Maayi, ne Nesaneeri, ne Yuda, ne Kanani, nga balina ebivuga ebyalagirwa Dawudi omusajja wa Katonda, era Ezera omuwandiisi, ye yabakulemberangamu.
And his brethren, Shema'yah, and 'Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Ma'ai, Nethanel, and Judah, Chanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God; and 'Ezra the expounder walked before them.
37 Bwe baatuuka ku Mulyango gw’Oluzzi, ne bambuka amadaala g’Ekibuga kya Dawudi okutuukira ddala ku bbugwe; ne bayita ku lubiri lwa Dawudi ne batuuka ku Mulyango ogw’Amazzi, oguli ku luuyi olw’ebuvanjuba.
And over the fountain-gate, and straight before them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the ascent of the wall, above the house of David, even as far as the water-gate, eastward.
38 Ekibinja ekyokubiri eky’abayimbi, ne kiraga ku luuyi olwolekedde luli bali gye baali balaze. Nze ne kimu kyakubiri eky’abantu ne tubagoberera okutuukira ddala waggulu ku bbugwe, ne tuyita ku Munaala gw’Ebikoomi ne tutuuka ku Bbugwe Omugazi,
And the other company for thanksgiving that walked in the opposite direction to them, —this one did I follow, and the half of the people upon the wall, from beyond the tower of the ovens even as far as the broad wall;
39 ne ku Mulyango gwa Efulayimu, ne ku Mulyango gwa Yesana, ne ku Mulyango gw’Ebyennyanja, n’okutuuka ku Munaala gwa Kananeri, ne ku Munaala gw’Ekikumi, n’okutuukira ddala ku Mulyango gw’Endiga, ne tuyimirira ku Mulyango gw’Abambowa.
And above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish-gate, and the tower of Chananel, and the tower of Meah, even as far as the sheep-gate; and they halted at the prison-gate.
40 Ebibinja byombi eby’abayimbi ne batuula mu bifo byabwe mu nnyumba ya Katonda; nange ne kimu kyakubiri eky’abakulembeze ne tutuula,
So did the two companies for thanksgiving place themselves in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me.
41 awamu ne bakabona bano: Eriyakimu, ne Maaseya, ne Miniyamini, ne Mikaaya, ne Eriwenayi, ne Zekkaliya, ne Kananiya nga balina amakondeere;
And the priests, Elyakim, Ma'asseyah, Minyamin, Michayah, Elyo'enai, Zechariah, and Chananiah, with trumpets;
42 Maaseya, ne Semaaya, ne Eriyazaali, ne Uzzi, ne Yekokanani, ne Malukiya, ne Eramu, ne Ezera nabo baaliwo. Abayimbi ne bayimba, Yekulakiya nga ye mukulu waabwe.
And Ma'asseyah, and Shema'yah, and El'azar, and 'Uzzi, and Jehochanan, and Malkiyah, and 'Elam, and 'Ezer. And the singers sang aloud, with Yisrachyah as their overseer.
43 Ku lunaku olwo, ne bawaayo ssaddaaka nnyingi nnyo nnyini, nga batendereza kubanga Katonda yali abawadde essanyu lingi nnyo nnyini. Abakazi n’abaana nabo ne basanyukira wamu nabo, era okujaguza okwo mu Yerusaalemi ne kuwulirwa mu bifo eby’ewala.
And they sacrificed on that day great sacrifices, and rejoiced; for God had caused them to rejoice with great joy; and also the women and the children rejoiced: so that the [shout of] joy of Jerusalem was heard even at a great distance off.
44 Mu kiseera ekyo, abantu ne balondebwa okulabiriranga amawanika omwaterekebwanga ebyaleetebwanga, nga mwe muli ebibala ebibereberye, ne kimu kya kkumi, nga bireetebwa okuva mu bibanja ebyetoolodde ebibuga, nga bwe kyalagibwa mu Mateeka, ne biweebwa bakabona n’Abaleevi. Yuda baali basanyufu olw’obuweereza bwa bakabona awamu n’obw’Abaleevi.
And there were appointed at that day certain men as superintendents over the chambers for the treasuries, for the heave-offerings, for the first-fruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions according to the law for the priests and the Levites; for Judah had joy on the priests and on the Levites that stood there,
45 Bakabona n’Abaleevi ne bakwata embaga ya Katonda waabwe era ne bagitukuza, n’abayimbi awamu n’abakuumi ba wankaaki nabo ne bakola bwe batyo, ng’ekiragiro kya Dawudi ne Sulemaani mutabani we bwe kyali.
And kept the charge of their God, and the charge of the purification, and as singers and gatekeepers, according to the command of David, [and] of Solomon his son.
46 Mu biro eby’edda, mu biseera bya Dawudi ne Asafu, waabangawo abakulu b’abayimbi, ate nga waliwo n’ennyimba ezaayimbibwanga okutendereza Katonda.
For in the days of David and Assaph of old there were chiefs of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.
47 Noolwekyo mu biro bya Zerubbaberi ne mu biro bya Nekkemiya, Isirayiri kyeyava ewaayo ebibinja by’abayimbi n’abakuumi ba wankaaki. Ne balonda n’ekibinja ky’Abaleevi abalala, n’Abaleevi nabo ne balondayo ekibinja ekyava mu bazzukulu ba Alooni.
And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the gatekeeper, what was required for every day on its day; and they sanctified things for the Levites: and the Levites sanctified [the portion due] for the children of Aaron.
