< Matayo 7 >
1 “Temusalanga musango, nammwe muleme okusalirwa omusango.
Judge not, that you may not be judged:
2 Kubanga nga bwe musalira abalala nammwe bwe mujjanga okusalirwa. Ekigera kye mugereramu, nammwe kye muligererwamu.”
for with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you measure, it shall be measured to you.
3 “Ofaayo ki ku kasasiro akali ku liiso lya muganda wo so nga ku liryo kuliko kisiki kiramba?
And why do you look at the splinter that is in your brother’s eye, but perceive not the beam that is in your own eye?
4 Oyinza otya okugamba muganda wo nti, ‘Leka nkuggyeko akasasiro akakuli ku liiso,’ so nga ku liryo kuliko kisiki?
Or, how will you say to your brother, Let me pull out the splinter from your eye: and lo; a beam is in your own eye?
5 Munnanfuusi ggwe! Sooka oggyeko ekisiki ekiri ku liiso lyo olyoke olabe bulungi nga bw’oggyako akasasiro akali ku liiso lya muganda wo.”
Hypocrite! first pull the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to pull the splinter out of your brother’s eye.
6 “Temuddiranga bintu bitukuvu ne mubiwa embwa. N’embizzi temuzisuuliranga mayinja ag’omuwendo omungi, kubanga zigenda kugalinnyirira, n’oluvannyuma zikyuke zibalume.”
Give not that which is holy to dogs, nor throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and tear you.
7 “Musabe, munaaweebwa. Munoonye, munaazuula. Era mukonkone munaggulirwawo.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.
8 Kubanga buli asaba aweebwa, n’oyo anoonya, azuula, n’oyo akonkona aggulirwawo.”
For every one that asks, receives; and he that seeks, finds; and to him that knocks, it shall be opened.
9 “Oba muntu ki mu mmwe singa omwana we amusaba omugaati, ayinza okumuwa ejjinja?
What man is there of you, of whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10 Oba singa asabye ekyennyanja, kitaawe ayinza okumuwa omusota?
And if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 Obanga mmwe abantu ababi musobola okuwa abaana bammwe ebirabo ebirungi, Kitammwe ali mu ggulu talisingawo okubawa ebirungi bye mumusaba?
If then you, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him?
12 Noolwekyo ebintu byonna bye mwagala abantu okubakoleranga, nammwe mubibakoleranga, kubanga ebyo bye biri mu mateeka ne mu bunnabbi.”
All things, therefore, whatever you would that men should do to you, even so do you to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13 “Muyingirire mu mulyango omufunda! Kubanga ekkubo erigenda mu kuzikirira ddene n’omulyango mugazi, n’abalonda ekkubo eryo bangi.
Enter in through the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction; and many there are that go in through it.
14 Kubanga omulyango mufunda, n’ekkubo eridda eri obulamu ffunda, era n’abaliraba batono.”
How strait is the gate, and how narrow the way, that leads to life! and few there are that find it.
15 “Mwekuume abayigiriza ab’obulimba, abajja nga bambadde amaliba g’endiga, songa munda gy’emisege egigenda okubataagulataagula.
But beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but within are ravenous wolves.
16 Mulibalabira ku bikolwa byabwe, ng’omuti bwe mugutegeerera ku bibala byagwo. Omuntu tayinza kunoga mizabbibu ku busaana oba okunoga ettiini ku mweramannyo.
By their fruits you will know them. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles?
17 Noolwekyo buli muti omulungi gubala ebibala ebirungi, naye omuti omuvundu gubala ebibala ebibi.
So every good tree produces goodly fruit: but an unsound tree produces diseased fruit.
18 Omuti omulungi teguyinza kubala bibala bibi, n’omuti omuvundu teguyinza kubala bibala birungi.
A good tree can not produce diseased fruit; nor can an unsound tree produce goodly fruit.
19 Omuti gwonna ogutabala bibala birungi gutemebwa ne gusuulibwa mu muliro.
Every tree that does not produce goodly fruit, is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 Noolwekyo mulibategeerera ku bibala byabwe.”
Therefore, by their fruits you shall know them.
21 “Si bonna abampita nti, ‘Mukama waffe, Mukama waffe,’ be baliyingira obwakabaka obw’omu ggulu, wabula abo bokka abakola ebyo Kitange ali mu ggulu by’ayagala.
Not every one that says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 Ku lunaku Iuli bangi baliŋŋamba nti, ‘Mukama waffe, Mukama waffe, twayogeranga eby’obunnabbi mu linnya lyo, era ne tugoba ne baddayimooni mu linnya lyo, ne tukola n’ebyamagero bingi mu linnya lyo.’
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name, and in thy name cast out demons, and in thy name done many mighty works?
23 Ndibaddamu nti, ‘Sibamanyi, muve mu maaso gange, kubanga ebikolwa byammwe byali bibi.’”
And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.
24 “Noolwekyo buli awulira ebigambo byange, n’abikola, alifaananyizibwa ng’omusajja ow’amagezi eyazimba enju ye ku lwazi.
Therefore, whoever hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on the rock:
25 Enkuba n’etonnya, emigga ne gikulukuta, omuyaga ne gujja, ne bikuba enju eyo naye n’etegwa kubanga yazimbibwa ku lwazi.
and the rain descended, and the torrents came, and the winds blew, and they beat against that house, and it fell not: for it was founded on the rock.
26 Naye buli awulira ebigambo byange n’atabikola, alifaananyizibwa ng’omusajja omusirusiru eyazimba ennyumba ye mu musenyu.
And every one that hears these words of mine, and does them not, shall be likened to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand.
27 Enkuba n’etonnya, emigga ne gikulukuta, omuyaga ne gujja, ne bikuba ennyumba eyo, n’egwa, n’okugwa kwayo ne kuba kunene.”
And the rain descended, and the torrents came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell: and great was its fall.
28 Awo Yesu n’amaliriza ebigambo bye ebyo. Abantu bonna ne beewuunya nnyo olw’okuyigiriza kwe.
And it came to pass when Jesus had ended these words, that the multitudes were astonished at his teaching:
29 Kubanga yabayigiriza nga nannyini buyinza, so si ng’abannyonnyozi b’amateeka baabwe bwe baayigirizanga.
for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.
