1 Awo Yesu n’ayingira nate mu kkuŋŋaaniro, nga mulimu omusajja eyalina omukono ogukaze.
He entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there whose hand was withered.
2 Baali balindirira okulaba obanga anaamuwonya ku Ssabbiiti balyoke bamuwawaabire.
They watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse him.
3 Yesu n’agamba omusajja eyalina omukono ogukaze nti, “Yimirira wakati.”
He said to the man whose hand was withered, “Stand up.”
4 N’abagamba nti, “Kikkirizibwa okukola ekirungi ku Ssabbiiti oba okukola ekibi? Okuwonya bulamu oba okubuzikiriza?” Naye ne batamuddamu.
He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good or to do harm? To save a life or to kill?” But they were silent.
5 Yesu n’abatunuulira ng’akambuwadde era nga munakuwavu nnyo olw’obukakanyavu bw’emitima gyabwe, n’agamba omusajja nti, “Golola omukono gwo.” N’agolola omukono gwe, ne guwona.
When he had looked around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.
6 Amangwago Abafalisaayo ne bafuluma ne bateesa n’Abakerodiyaani nga bwe banaamuzikiriza.
The Pharisees went out, and immediately conspired with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
7 Awo Yesu n’abayigirizwa be ne bagenda ku nnyanja. Ekibiina kinene ekyava mu Ggaliraaya ne mu Buyudaaya ne kimugoberera.
Jesus withdrew to the sea with his disciples; and a great multitude followed him from Galilee, from Judea,
8 N’abalala ne bava mu kibuga Yerusaalemi, n’abalala mu Idumaya, n’abalala ne bava emitala w’omugga Yoludaani n’okwetooloola Ttuulo ne Sidoni ne bamugoberera. Ekibiina ky’abantu bwe baawulira bye yali akola ne bajja gy’ali.
from Jerusalem, from Idumaea, beyond the Jordan, and those from around Tyre and Sidon. A great multitude, hearing what great things he did, came to him.
9 Yesu n’agamba abayigirizwa be eryato limubeere kumpi olw’ekibiina ekinene, ekibiina kireme kumunyigiriza.
He spoke to his disciples that a little boat should stay near him because of the crowd, so that they wouldn’t press on him.
10 Kubanga yawonya bangi, bangi ne baagala okumugwira bamukwateko olw’endwadde zaabwe.
For he had healed many, so that as many as had diseases pressed on him that they might touch him.
11 Awo emyoyo emibi bwe gyamulaba ne gigwa mu maaso ge nga gireekaana nga gigamba nti, “Ggwe Mwana wa Katonda.”
The unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, fell down before him and cried, “You are the Son of God!”
12 Naye n’agikomako gireme okumwatuukiriza.
He sternly warned them that they should not make him known.
13 Awo Yesu n’alinnya ku lusozi, n’ayita abo be yayagala, ne bajja gy’ali.
He went up into the mountain and called to himself those whom he wanted, and they went to him.
14 N’alonda kkumi na babiri mu abo, be yafuula abatume babeerenga naye, era abatumenga okubuulira.
He appointed twelve, that they might be with him, and that he might send them out to preach
15 N’abawa n’obuyinza okugobanga baddayimooni. Ekkumi n’ababiri be yalonda be bano:
and to have authority to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons:
16 Awo n’alonda ekkumi na babiri era be bano: Simooni, gwe yatuuma “Peetero” ne
Simon (to whom he gave the name Peter);
17 Yakobo ne Yokaana, batabani ba Zebbedaayo, Yesu be yatuuma “Bowanerege” amakulu nti, “Abaana b’Okubwatuka.”
James the son of Zebedee; and John, the brother of James, (whom he called Boanerges, which means, Sons of Thunder);
18 Andereya, ne Firipo, ne Battolomaayo, ne Matayo, ne Tomasi, ne Yakobo, omwana wa Alufaayo ne Saddayo, ne Simooni, Omukananaayo,
Andrew; Philip; Bartholomew; Matthew; Thomas; James, the son of Alphaeus; Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot;
19 ne Yuda Isukalyoti eyamulyamu olukwe.
and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. Then he came into a house.
20 Awo Yesu n’ayingira mu nnyumba ekibiina kinene ne bakuŋŋaanira nate w’ali, ye ne be yali nabo ne batasobola kulya.
The multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
21 Awo baganda be bwe baakiwulira ne bagenda bamuggyeyo, kubanga baalowooza nti alaluse.
When his friends heard it, they went out to seize him; for they said, “He is insane.”
22 Naye abannyonnyozi b’amateeka abaava e Yerusaalemi ne bagamba nti, “Aliko Beeruzebuli omukulu wa baddayimooni, era obuyinza bwe bw’akozesa okugoba baddayimooni.”
The scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebul,” and, “By the prince of the demons he casts out the demons.”
23 Awo Yesu n’abayita n’ayogera nabo mu ngero ng’agamba nti, “Setaani ayinza atya okugoba Setaani?
He summoned them and said to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan?
24 Obwakabaka bwe bwawukana tebuyinza kubaawo.
If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 N’ennyumba eyawukanye, teyinza kubeerawo.
If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26 Ne Setaani bw’atyo bw’alwanagana yekka na yekka tayinza kubaawo. Wabula yeezikiriza yekka.
If Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he can’t stand, but has an end.
27 Naye tewali ayinza kuyingira mu nnyumba ya muntu w’amaanyi, okunyaga ebintu bye nga tasoose kumusiba n’alyoka anyaga ebintu bye.
But no one can enter into the house of the strong man to plunder unless he first binds the strong man; then he will plunder his house.
28 Ddala ddala mbagamba nti buli kintu kyonna omuntu ky’akola kirisonyiyibwa abaana b’abantu, ebibi n’okuvvoola kwonna kwe bavvoola.
“Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the descendants of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme;
29 Naye buli alivvoola Mwoyo Mutukuvu talisonyiyibwa, emirembe n’emirembe naye alisingibwa omusango olw’ekibi eky’emirembe n’emirembe.” (aiōn , aiōnios )
but whoever may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation.” (aiōn , aiōnios )
30 Yayogera atyo gye bali kubanga baagamba nti, “Aliko omwoyo omubi.”
—because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.”
31 Awo baganda ba Yesu ne nnyina ne bajja gy’ali ebweru nga baagala okumulaba. Awo ne bamutumira bamuyite ajje ayogere nabo.
His mother and his brothers came, and standing outside, they sent to him, calling him.
32 Ekibiina ky’abantu kyali kimwetoolodde, ne bamugamba nti, “Nnyoko ne baganda bo ne bannyoko bali wabweru bakunoonya.”
A multitude was sitting around him, and they told him, “Behold, your mother, your brothers, and your sisters are outside looking for you.”
33 Naye n’abaddamu nti, “Mmange ye ani, ne baganda bange be baani?”
He answered them, “Who are my mother and my brothers?”
34 Awo bwe yeetoolooza amaaso abo abaali batudde nga bamwebunguludde, n’abagamba nti, “Bano be mulaba be bammange era be baganda bange!
Looking around at those who sat around him, he said, “Behold, my mother and my brothers!
35 Kubanga buli muntu akola Katonda by’asiima ye muganda wange, ye mwannyinaze era ye mmange.”
For whoever does the will of God is my brother, my sister, and mother.”
