< Lukka 5 >

1 Awo Yesu yali ayimiridde ku lubalama lw’ennyanja y’e Genesaleeti ng’ayigiriza, ebibiina nga bamunyigiriza nga bawuliriza ekigambo kya Katonda,
Now while the multitude pressed on him and heard the word of God, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret.
2 n’alengera amaato abiri ameereere nga gali kumpi n’olukalu, nga bannannyinigo abavubi, bagalese awo, nga bayoza obutimba bwabwe.
He saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets.
3 Yesu n’alinnya mu lyato erimu eryali erya Simooni, n’amusaba alisembezeeko katono mu nnyanja, n’alituulamu, asinziire omwo okuyigiriza ebibiina.
He entered into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.
4 Bwe yamala okuyigiriza n’agamba Simooni nti, “Kale kaakano sembeza eryato lyo ebuziba, mu mazzi amangi, musuule obutimba bwammwe mu nnyanja, mujja kukwasa ebyennyanja bingi!”
When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”
5 Simooni n’addamu nti, “Mukama waffe, twateganye dda ekiro kyonna, naye ne tutakwasa kantu. Naye ggwe nga bw’otugambye, nzija kusuula obutimba.”
Simon answered him, “Master, we worked all night and caught nothing; but at your word I will let down the net.”
6 Awo bwe baakola bwe batyo, obutimba bwabwe bwajjula ebyennyanja, ne butandika n’okukutuka.
When they had done this, they caught a great multitude of fish, and their net was breaking.
7 Ne bawenya ku bannaabwe abaali mu lyato liri eddala bajje babayambe, ne bajja, amaato gombi ne gajjula ebyennyanja, ne gajula n’okusaanawo.
They beckoned to their partners in the other boat, that they should come and help them. They came and filled both boats, so that they began to sink.
8 Awo Simooni Peetero bwe yakiraba, n’afukamira mu maaso ga Yesu n’amugamba nti, “Mukama wange, nkwegayiridde ndeka, kubanga ndi mwonoonyi nnyo.”
But Simon Peter, when he saw it, fell down at Yeshua’s knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, Lord.”
9 Kubanga obungi bw’ebyennyanja bye baakwasa bwa muwuniikirizza nnyo awamu ne banne bwe baavubanga,
For he was amazed, and all who were with him, at the catch of fish which they had caught;
10 Yakobo ne Yokaana abaana ba Zebbedaayo. Yesu n’amuddamu nti, “Totya! Okuva kaakano ojjanga kuvuba myoyo gya bantu.”
and so also were Jacob and Yochanan, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. Yeshua said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid. From now on you will be catching people alive.”
11 Amaato gaabwe olwagoba ku lubalama ne baleka awo byonna ne bagenda naye.
When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything, and followed him.
12 Mu kibuga Yesu mwe yali akyadde mwalimu omusajja eyali alwadde ebigenge. Bwe yalaba Yesu n’avuunama mu maaso ge, n’amwegayirira nti, “Mukama wange, bw’oba ng’oyagala, oyinza okunnongoosa.”
While he was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man full of leprosy. When he saw Yeshua, he fell on his face and begged him, saying, “Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.”
13 Yesu n’agolola omukono gwe n’amukwatako, ng’agamba nti, “Njagala, longooka.” Amangwago ebigenge by’omusajja ne bimuwonako.
He stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I want to. Be made clean.” Immediately the leprosy left him.
14 Yesu n’alagira omusajja nti, “Tobaako muntu n’omu gw’ogamba, naye genda weeyanjule eri kabona oweeyo ekiweebwayo olw’okulongosebwa nga Musa bwe yalagira, kibeere obujulirwa gye bali.”
He commanded him to tell no one, “But go your way and show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing according to what Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”
15 Naye ne yeeyongera bweyongezi okubunya ettutumu ly’obuyinza bwa Yesu era ebibiina binene ne bikuŋŋaana okumuwulira n’okuwonyezebwa endwadde zaabwe.
But the report concerning him spread much more, and great multitudes came together to hear and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
16 Naye bwe yasalangawo akabanga, ne yeeyawula n’alagako mu bifo eteri bantu, okusaba.
But he withdrew himself into the desert and prayed.
17 Lwali lumu Yesu yali ayigiriza abakulembeze b’Abayudaaya, n’abannyonnyozi b’amateeka nabo nga batudde awo, abaali bavudde mu buli kyalo eky’e Ggaliraaya ne Buyudaaya era n’e Yerusaalemi. Amaanyi ga Mukama gaali ku ye okuwonya.
On one of those days, he was teaching; and there were Pharisees and teachers of the Torah sitting by who had come out of every village of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. The power of the Lord was with him to heal them.
18 Awo abasajja ne bajja nga basitudde omusajja ku katanda eyali akoozimbye. Ne bagezaako okumuyingiza okumuleeta Yesu we yali.
Behold, men brought a paralyzed man on a cot, and they sought to bring him in to lay before Yeshua.
19 Naye bwe bataasobola kumuyingiza olw’ekibiina ekinene ne balinnya waggulu ku kasolya, ne baggyawo ku mategula ne bayisaamu omulwadde ne bamussa ng’agalamidde ku katanda ke ne baamutereereza ddala mu maaso ga Yesu.
Not finding a way to bring him in because of the multitude, they went up to the housetop and let him down through the tiles with his cot into the middle before Yeshua.
20 Awo Yesu bwe yalaba okukkiriza kwabwe, n’agamba omusajja akoozimbye nti, “Omusajja, ebibi byo bikusonyiyiddwa.”
Seeing their faith, he said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”
21 Abafalisaayo n’abannyonnyozi b’amateeka ne beebuuzaganya nti, “Ono ye ani avvoola! Ani ayinza okusonyiwa ebibi wabula Katonda yekka?”
The scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, “Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?”
22 Nate Yesu bwe yamanya ebirowoozo byabwe, n’ababuuza nti, “Lwaki mulowooza bwe mutyo mu mutima gwammwe?
But Yeshua, perceiving their thoughts, answered them, “Why are you reasoning so in your hearts?
23 Ekyangu kye kiri wa? Okwogera nti ebibi byo bikusonyiyiddwa oba nti situka otambule?
Which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk’?
24 Naye mulyoke mutegeere nti, Omwana w’Omuntu alina obuyinza ku nsi okusonyiwa ebibi.” N’agamba eyali akozimbye nti, “Situka, ositule akatanda ko, weddireyo ewuwo.”
But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins,” he said to the paralyzed man, “I tell you, arise, take up your cot, and go to your house.”
25 Amangwago omusajja n’asituka n’asitula akatanda kwe yali agalamidde, n’addayo ewuwe ng’agulumiza Katonda.
Immediately he rose up before them, and took up that which he was laying on, and departed to his house, glorifying God.
26 Abantu bonna ne bajjula encukwe. Ne bagulumiza Katonda nga bajjudde entiisa nga boogera nti, “Tulabye ebyewuunyisa leero.”
Amazement took hold on all, and they glorified God. They were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today.”
27 Oluvannyuma lw’ebyo Yesu n’avaayo n’alaba omusolooza w’omusolo, erinnya lye Leevi ng’atudde omusolo we gukuŋŋaanyizibwa, n’amugamba nti, “Ngoberera.”
After these things he went out and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the tax office, and said to him, “Follow me!”
28 Leevi n’aleka awo byonna, n’asitukiramu n’amugoberera.
He left everything, and rose up and followed him.
29 Awo Leevi n’afumbira Yesu ekijjulo eky’amaanyi mu maka ge. Waaliwo abasolooza banne ab’omusolo bangi, n’abantu abalala bangi, abaali ku kijjulo ekyo.
Levi made a great feast for him in his house. There was a great crowd of tax collectors and others who were reclining with them.
30 Naye Abafalisaayo n’abannyonnyozi b’amateeka ne beemulugunya, olw’abayigirizwa be nga bagamba nti, “Lwaki mulya era ne munywa n’abasolooza b’omusolo n’abalina ebibi?”
Their scribes and the Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?”
31 Yesu n’abaanukula nti, “Abalwadde be beetaaga omusawo, so si abo abatali balwadde.
Yeshua answered them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.
32 Sajja kuyita batuukirivu wabula abalina ebibi okwenenya.”
I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
33 Kyokka ne bamugamba nti, “Abayigirizwa ba Yokaana batera okusiiba n’okusaba. N’abayigirizwa b’Abafalisaayo nabo bwe batyo. Naye ababo balya ne banywa.”
They said to him, “Why do Yochanan’s disciples often fast and pray, likewise also the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours eat and drink?”
34 Naye Yesu n’abagamba nti, “Abagenyi bayinza okusiiba ng’awasizza omugole akyali nabo?
He said to them, “Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them?
35 Naye ekiseera kijja, awasizza omugole ng’abaggiddwako olwo ne balyoka basiiba.”
But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them. Then they will fast in those days.”
36 Awo Yesu n’abagerera olugero nti, “Tewali ayuza kiwero mu lugoye oluggya alyoke azibise ekituli mu lugoye olukadde. Bw’akikola, ekiwero ekiggya kiyuza olukadde, n’ekiwero ekiggya tekijja kugendera wamu na lugoye olukadde.
He also told a parable to them. “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old garment, or else he will tear the new, and also the piece from the new will not match the old.
37 Era tewali ateeka wayini omusu mu nsawo enkadde ez’amaliba ga wayini, kubanga wayini omusu ajja kuziyuza ayiike.
No one puts new wine into old wineskins, or else the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled and the skins will be destroyed.
38 Naye wayini omusu ateekebwa mu nsawo za maliba empya.
But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.
39 Era tewali anywa ku wayini omukadde ate ayagala okunywa ku wayini omusu. Kubanga agamba nti, ‘Omukadde ye asinga omusu.’”
No man having drunk old wine immediately desires new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”
