7 Bw’onoofukamira n’onsinza byonna ebyo bijja kuba bibyo.”
If you therefore will worship before me, it will all be yours."

10 Kubanga kyawandiikibwa nti, “‘Katonda aliragira bamalayika be bakukuume.
for it is written, 'He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you;'

He taught in their synagogues, being praised by all.
16 Bwe yatuuka e Nazaaleesi, ekibuga mwe yakulira, n’agenda mu kkuŋŋaaniro ku Ssabbiiti, nga bwe yali empisa ye. N’ayimuka okusoma.
He came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. He entered, as was his custom, into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.
17 Ne bamuwa ekitabo kya nnabbi Isaaya, n’abikkula omuzingo gw’empapula n’alaba awagamba nti,
The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him, and unrolling the scroll, he found the place where it was written,
18 “Omwoyo wa Mukama ali ku nze. Anfuseeko amafuta okubuulira abaavu Enjiri. Antumye okubuulira abasibe okuteebwa, n’abazibe b’amaaso okuzibulwa amaaso balabe, n’abanyigirizibwa okufuna eddembe,
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed,
19 n’okulangirira ekiseera kya Mukama eky’okulagiramu ekisa kye.”
and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."
20 N’azingako omuzingo n’aguddiza omuweereza, n’atuula. Abantu bonna mu kkuŋŋaaniro ne bamusimba amaaso.
He closed the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.
21 N’atandika okubategeeza nti, “Olwa leero, Ebyawandiikibwa bino bye muwulidde bituukiridde!”
He began to tell them, "Today, this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing."
22 Bonna abaaliwo ne bamutenda nga beewuunya ebigambo bye ebyekisa ebyava mu kamwa ke, nga bwe beebuuza nti, “Ono si ye mutabani wa Yusufu?”
All testified about him, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth, and they said, "Is not this Joseph's son?"
23 Yesu n’abagamba nti, “Ddala ddala muliyinza n’okuŋŋamba mu lugero luno nti, ‘Omusawo, weewonye,’ nga mugamba nti, ‘Buli kye twawulira mu Kaperunawumu, kikolere na wano mu kyalo kyo.’”
He said to them, "Doubtless you will tell me this parable, 'Physician, heal yourself. Whatever we have heard done at Capernaum, do also here in your hometown.'"
24 Naye n’abagamba nti, “Ddala ddala mbagamba nti, Tewali nnabbi ayanirizibwa mu kyalo ky’ewaabwe!
He said, "Truly I tell you, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown.
25 Naye mazima mbagamba nti, waaliwo bannamwandu bangi mu biseera bya nnabbi Eriya, mu Isirayiri enkuba bwe yamala emyaka esatu n’ekitundu nga tetonnya, n’enjala n’egwa mu nsi yonna.
But truly I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land.
26 Naye nnabbi Eriya teyatumibwa eri omu ku bannamwandu abo, wabula yatumibwa eri nnamwandu ow’e Zalefaasi mu Sidoni.
Elijah was sent to none of them, except to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.
27 Ne mu biseera bya nnabbi Erisa waaliwo abagengebangi mu Isirayiri, naye tewali n’omu ku bo eyalongoosebwa okuggyako Naamani Omusuuli.”
There were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed, except Naaman, the Syrian."
28 Bonna abaali mu kuŋŋaaniro ne bakwatibwa obusungu olw’ebigambo ebyo,
They were all filled with wrath in the synagogue, as they heard these things.

32 Ne beewuunya nnyo okuyigiriza kwe. Kubanga yayogeranga nga nnannyini buyinza.
and they were astonished at his teaching, for his word was with authority.
33 Mu kkuŋŋaaniro, mwalimu omusajja eyaliko ddayimooni n’atandika okuwowoggana nti,
In the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon, and he shouted with a loud voice,
34 “Woowe! Otulanga ki, ggwe Yesu ow’e Nazaaleesi? Ozze kutuzikiriza? Nze nkumanyi, ggwe mutukuvu wa Katonda.”
saying, "Ah. What have we to do with you, Jesus, Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are — the Holy One of God."
35 Yesu n’amuboggolera ng’agamba nti, “Sirika! Muveeko!” Awo dayimooni n’asuula eri omusajja wansi wakati mu bantu, n’amuvaako nga tamulumizza.
Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be silent, and come out of him." When the demon had thrown him down in their midst, he came out of him, having done him no harm.
36 Buli muntu n’atya nnyo nga bwe beebuuzaganya nti, “Kigambo ki kino? Kubanga alagira n’obuyinza n’amaanyi emyoyo emibi ne giva mu muntu, ekireetera ne dayimooni okumugondera.”
Amazement came on all, and they spoke together, one with another, saying, "What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out."
37 Amawulire agakwata ku Yesu ne gabuna mu kitundu ekyo kyonna ekyetoolodde awo.
News about him went out into every place of the surrounding region.

He rose up from the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. Now Simon's mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they appealed to him about her.
39 Yesu n’ayimirira okumpi n’omulwadde we yali, n’alagira omusujja gumuwoneko, amangwago omulwadde n’awona, n’asituka n’abaweereza!
He stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her. Immediately she rose up and served them.
40 Obudde bwe bwali buwungeera, abantu bonna abaalina abalwadde ab’endwadde eza buli ngeri, ne babaleeta eri Yesu, n’abassaako emikono buli omu n’amuwonya.
When the sun was setting, all those who had any sick with various diseases brought them to him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
41 Abamu baaliko baddayimooni, Yesu n’abalagira ne bava ku balwadde nga bwe baleekaana nti, “Ggwe Mwana wa Katonda.” Naye kubanga baamumanya nga ye Kristo, n’atabaganya kukyogerako.
Demons also came out from many, crying out, and saying, "You are the Son of God." But he rebuked them and did not allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.
42 Bwe bwakya Yesu n’alaga mu kifo etali bantu. Ekibiina ky’abantu ne bamunoonya, okutuusa lwe baamulaba ne balaga gy’ali ne bamwegayirira aleme kubavaako.
When it was day, he departed and went into an uninhabited place, and the crowds looked for him, and came to him, and held on to him, so that he would not go away from them.
43 Naye n’abaddamu nti, “Kinsaanira okubuulira Enjiri y’obwakabaka bwa Katonda ne mu bifo ebirala kubanga eyo y’ensonga kyenava ntumibwa.”
But he said to them, "I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other cities also. For this reason I have been sent."
44 Yesu ne yeeyongera okubuulira mu makuŋŋaaniro gaabwe mu Buyudaaya.
And he was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.
