< Lukka 24 >

1 Awo ku lunaku Lwassande, lwe lusooka mu wiiki, mu makya ennyo, abakazi ne baddira ebyakaloosa n’amafuta, bye baali bategese, ne bagenda ku ntaana.
but, on the first day of the week, at early dawn, unto the tomb, came they, bringing the spices which they had prepared.
2 Ne basanga ejjinja eryali liggadde omulyango oguyingira mu ntaana, nga liyiringisibbwa okudda wabbali.
And they found the stone, rolled away from the tomb;
3 Bwe batyo ne bayingira mu ntaana, naye omulambo gwa Mukama waffe Yesu tebaagusangamu.
but, when they entered, they found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 Ne bayimirira awo nga babuliddwa eky’okukola. Amangwago, abasajja babiri ne balabika mu maaso gaabwe nga bambadde engoye ezimasamasa ng’okumyansa kw’eraddu.
And it came to pass, while they were perplexing themselves concerning this, that lo! two men, stood near them, in dazzling raiment.
5 Abakazi ne batya nnyo, ne bakutama ne batunula wansi, abasajja ne babagamba nti, “Lwaki omuntu omulamu mumunoonyeza mu ntaana?
And, they becoming afraid, and bending their faces unto the ground, they said unto them—Why seek ye the Living One with the dead?
6 Taliiwo wano, azuukidde! Mujjukire bye yabagamba nga muli e Ggaliraaya nti,
He is not here, but hath arisen: Remember how he spake unto you while yet he was in Galilee:
7 ‘Omwana w’Omuntu, ateekwa okuweebwayo mu mikono gy’abantu ababi, bamukomerere ku musaalaba, naye nga ku lunaku olwokusatu alizuukira.’”
Saying, as to the Son of Man, that he must needs be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, —and, on the third day, arise.
8 Ne bajjukira ebigambo bye ebyo.
And they remembered his sayings;
9 Awo ne bayanguwa mangu ne bagenda, ne bategeeza abayigirizwa ekkumi n’omu n’abalala bonna, ebintu ebyo byonna. Bano be bakazi abaalaga ku ntaana, era ne bategeeza abayigirizwa ebintu ebyo:
and, returning [from the tomb], reported all these things unto the eleven, and unto all the rest.
10 Maliyamu Magudaleene, ne Jowaana, ne Maliyamu nnyina Yakobo, n’abalala. Ne bategeeza abatume ebintu ebyo.
Now they were the Magdalene Mary, and Joana, and Mary the mother of James; and, the other women with them, were telling, unto the apostles, these things.
11 Naye bye baababuulira nga biwulikika ng’ebitaliimu makulu, era tebaabikkiriza.
And these sayings appeared before them, as if idle talk, and they were minded to disbelieve them.
12 Kyokka Peetero n’adduka n’alaga ku ntaana, n’akutama n’alingiza n’alaba ng’engoye za linena Yesu mwe yali azingiddwa ziri wabbali zokka nga njereere, n’addayo eka nga yeewuunya.
But, Peter, arising, ran unto the tomb, —and, bending near, beholdeth the linen bandages, alone; and departed, unto himself, marvelling at the thing that had happened.
13 Ku lunaku olwo lwennyini abasajja babiri, abamu ku abo abaagobereranga Yesu, baali batambula nga bagenda mu kabuga akayitibwa Emawu, akaali kilomita nga kkumi na bbiri okuva e Yerusaalemi.
And lo! two from among them, on the selfsame day, were journeying unto a village, distant sixty furlongs from Jerusalem, the name of which, was Emmaus;
14 Baali bagenda boogera ku kufa kwa Yesu.
and, they, were conversing one with another, about all these things which had occurred.
15 Amangwago Yesu yennyini n’abeegattako n’atambula nabo.
And it came to pass, as they were conversing and reasoning together, that, Jesus himself, drawing near, was journeying with them;
16 Kyokka tebaamutegeera, kubanga ekyo Katonda yali akibakisizza.
but, their eyes, were held, so as not to know him.
17 Yesu n’abagamba nti, “Biki bye munyumyako nga bwe mutambula mu kkubo?” Ne bayimirira ng’amaaso gaabwe gajjudde ennaku.
And he said unto them—What are these things which ye are debating one with another, as ye walk along? And they came to a stand, sad in countenance.
18 Omu ku bo, erinnya lye Kulyoppa n’amuddamu nti, “Oli mugenyi mu Yerusaalemi atamanyi bya kitalo ebyaliwo mu wiiki eyise?”
But one, by name Cleopas, answering, said unto him—Art, thou, lodging, alone, in Jerusalem, and knowest not the things which have come to pass therein in these days?
19 Yesu n’ababuuza nti, “Biki ebyo?” Ne baddamu nti, “Ebyagwa ku Yesu Omunnazaaleesi eyali omusajja Nnabbi ow’amaanyi mu bye yakolanga ne bye yayogeranga eyakola ebyamagero ebyewuunyisa, era yali Muyigiriza wa kitalo, mu maaso ga Katonda ne mu maaso g’abantu bonna.
And he said unto them—What things? And, they, said unto him—The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who became a prophet, mighty in work and word, before God and all the people:
20 Naye bakabona abakulu n’abakulembeze baffe baamukwata ne bamuwaayo n’asalirwa omusango ogw’okufa, ne bamukomerera ku musaalaba.
In what way also our High-priests and Rulers delivered him up unto a sentence of death, and crucified him.
21 Twali tusuubira nti, Ye Kristo anaalokola Isirayiri.
We, however, were hoping that, he, was the one destined to redeem Israel! But indeed, even with all these things, this brings on, the third, day, since these things happened: —
22 Ebyo nga bikyali awo, nga wayiseewo ennaku ssatu bukyanga bino bibaawo abamu ku bakazi b’ewaffe baatwewuunyisizza. Olwa leero baakedde ku ntaana,
Nay! certain women also, from amongst us, have made us beside ourselves, in that they went early unto the tomb;
23 naye omulambo gwe tebaagusanzeemu. Bwe baakomyewo baatugambye nti bayolesebbwa ba bamalayika abaabagambye nti mulamu!
and, not finding his body, came, saying—that, a vision of messengers, they had seen, who were affirming him to be alive.
24 Abamu ku bannaffe abasajja nabo ne bagendayo mangu, nabo ne basanga ng’omulambo gwa Yesu teguliimu mu ntaana, ng’abakazi bwe baagambye.”
And certain of them who were with us departed unto the tomb, —and found so, according as, the women, had said; but, him, they saw not.
25 Yesu n’abagamba nti, “Nga muli bantu basirusiru! Mmwe ab’emitima eminafu egirwawo okukkiriza bannabbi bye baategeeza!
And, he, said unto them—O thoughtless ones! and slow in heart to rest your faith upon all things which the prophets have spoken: —
26 Tekyagwanira Kristo okubonaabona mu bintu byonna n’oluvannyuma alyoke ayingire mu kitiibwa kye?”
Was it not needful for the Christ, these very things, to suffer, and to enter into his glory?
27 N’atandikira ku Musa n’ayitaayita mu bannabbi bonna ng’agenda abannyonnyola Ebyawandiikibwa bye bimwogerako.
And, beginning from Moses, and from all the prophets, he thoroughly explained to them, in all the Scriptures, the things concerning himself.
28 Bwe baasemberera akabuga we baali bagenda, Yesu n’aba nga eyeeyongerayo,
And they drew near unto the village, whither they were journeying; and, he, made for journeying, further.
29 naye ne bamuwaliriza asule ewaabwe kubanga n’obudde bwali buwungedde. N’akkiriza, asigale.
And they constrained him, saying—Abide with us; because it is, towards evening, and the day hath already declined. And he went in to abide with them.
30 Awo bwe yali ng’alya nabo n’addira omugaati, ne yeebaza n’agumenyamu, n’abawa.
And it came to pass, when he reclined with them, taking the loaf, he blessed, and, breaking it, went on to give unto them.
31 Amangwago amaaso gaabwe ne gazibuka ne bamutegeera! Ate n’ababulako mu kaseera ako!
And, their, eyes were opened, and they knew him; and, he, vanished from them.
32 Ne batandika okwewuunaganya nga bagamba nti, “Emitima gyaffe tegyabuguumiridde bwe yabadde ayogera naffe mu kkubo ng’atunnyonnyola Ebyawandiikibwa?”
And they said one to another—Was not, our heart, burning, as he was speaking to us in the way, as he was opening to us the Scriptures?
33 Awo ne basituka mangu ne baddayo mu Yerusaalemi, ne basanga abayigirizwa ekkumi n’omu ne bannaabwe abalala nga bakuŋŋaanye,
And, arising in that very hour, they returned unto Jerusalem, —and found, gathered together, the eleven, and them who were with them,
34 nga bagamba nti, “Ddala Mukama waffe azuukidde! Alabikidde Peetero!”
saying—In truth, the Lord hath arisen, and hath appeared unto Simon!
35 Ne bannyonnyola, nga Yesu bwe yabalabikira nga bali mu kkubo batambula, era nga bwe yategeerekeka gye bali ng’amaze okumenya omugaati.
And, they, went on to relate the things, [that had passed] on the journey, and how he was made known unto them in the breaking of the loaf.
36 Awo bwe baali bakyayogera ebyo Yesu n’ayimirira mu makkati gaabwe n’abalamusa nti, “Emirembe gibeere nammwe!”
Now, as, these very things, they were telling, he himself, stood in their midst and saith unto them—Peace to you!
37 Naye bonna ne bakankana nga batidde nnyo, nga balowooza nti balaba muzimu!
But, being agitated and becoming, afraid, they began to imagine, that, upon a spirit, they were looking.
38 Yesu n’ababuuza nti, “Lwaki mutidde bwe mutyo? Lwaki mubuusabuusa mu mitima gyammwe?
And he said unto them—Why are ye troubled? and for what cause do reasonings arise in your hearts?
39 Mulaba ebibatu byange. Mutunule ne ku bigere byange! Kaakano mutegeere nga ye Nze kennyini. Munkwateko mukakasize ddala nti ssiri muzimu, kubanga omuzimu tegubeera na mubiri na magumba nga Nze bye nnina.”
See my hands, and my feet, —that it is, I, myself: Handle me, and see! because, a spirit, hath not, flesh and bones, as ye perceive, I, have.
40 Bwe yali ng’ayogera n’abalaga ebibatu bye n’ebigere bye.
And, this saying, he pointed out to them his hands and his feet.
41 Naye nga bakyabuusabuusa kyokka nga balina essanyu era nga basamaaliridde n’alyoka ababuuza nti, “Mulinawo wano ekyokulya?”
Now, while yet they believed not for the joy, and were marvelling, he said unto them—Have ye anything to eat, here?
42 Ne bamuwa ekitundu ky’ekyennyanja ekyokye,
And they gave unto him a piece of boiled fish;
43 n’akitoola n’akiriira mu maaso gaabwe nga bamutunuulira!
and, taking it before them, he did eat.
44 N’abagamba nti, “Nabategeeza nga nkyali nammwe nti ebintu byonna ebyampandiikibwako mu mateeka ga Musa, ne mu bya bannabbi, ne mu Zabbuli, byali biteekwa okutuukirira.”
And he said unto them—These, are my words, which I spake unto you yet being with you: That all the things that are written in the law of Moses and the Prophets and Psalms, concerning me, must needs be fulfilled.
45 N’alyoka asumulula emitima gyabwe, ne bategeera ebyawandiikibwa.
Then, opened he their mind, to understand the Scriptures;
46 N’abagamba nti, “Kyawandiikibwa dda nnyo nti Kristo kimugwanira okubonaabona, n’okufa era ku lunaku olwokusatu azuukire mu bafu.
and said unto them—Thus, it is written, That the Christ, should suffer, and arise from among the dead on the third day;
47 Era mu linnya lye Enjiri ey’okwenenya n’okusonyiyibwa ebibi eribuulirwa amawanga gonna okutandikira mu Yerusaalemi.
And that repentance for remission of sins should be proclaimed upon his name unto all the nations, —beginning from Jerusalem.
48 Muli bajulirwa b’ebyo,
Ye, are witnesses of these things.
49 Laba mbaweereza ekisuubizo kya Kitange. Mubeere mu kibuga okutuusa lwe mulyambazibwa amaanyi agava mu ggulu.”
And lo! I, am sending forth the promise of my Father upon you; but tarry, ye, in the city, until ye be clothed, from on high, with power.
50 Awo Yesu n’abakulembera ne balaga e Besaniya. N’ayimusa emikono gye waggulu, n’abawa omukisa.
And he led them forth as far as unto Bethany; and, uplifting his hands, he blessed them.
51 Bwe yali ng’akyabawa omukisa, n’abavaako, n’asitulibwa, n’atwalibwa mu ggulu.
And it came to pass, while he was blessing them, he parted from them and was born up into heaven.
52 Ne bamusinza, ne baddayo mu Yerusaalemi nga bajjudde essanyu lingi.
And, they, having bowed down unto him returned unto Jerusalem, with great joy;
53 Ne babeeranga mu Yeekaalu bulijjo nga batendereza Katonda.
and were continually in the temple, blessing God.
